Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna – who was speaking to BBC TV’s Sunday Morning programme – accused Russia of “military tactics right in the cities of Ukraine”, adding they were carrying out a “terroristic plan”, with attacks coming from the air and also by land. “Shelled hospitals, the shelled houses for kindergartens and schools, and the ordinary households,” she said. “This is how the reality looks.” She said Ukraine was seeing “another wave of implementation of this terroristic plan of [the] Russian Federation”. Ms Stefanishyna claimed Russia was suffering “enormous losses” of soldiers and equipment, but this “does not deter Russia”.

Comments:

This will go down in history as a war fought by the dumbest people on all sides. I picture WW2-era soldiers doing a palm to the face hearing this kind of stuff. A reminder that a non-military Target used for military purposes automatically becomes a military target.

Using schools or hospitals as staging points for operations puts every school or hospital at risk. Stupid move on the army's and soldier's parts.

I worry about the Woke elements in our own military if they are involved in battle. I fear selfies will be taken and posted on social media, and there will be a torrent of complaints about 'inequality' or 'lack of diversity' , instead of defeating the enemy.

Article 27 protections. "provided they are not being used at the time for military purposes". Dear Ukraine: stop being stupid. I don't see how they can go down the road of accusing Putin of war crimes while they ignore the Geneva Conventions. Can't have it both ways.

Former President Donald Trump said Thursday on FNC’s “Hannity” that President Joe Biden’s administration was “grossly incompetent.” While discussing the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Trump said, “If I were president, if we have the Trump administration in there like we had tremendous years, tremendous success, economy, energy independence, all of the things, largest tax cuts in the history of our country which helped bring about the greatest economy we have ever had, this would have never ever happened. So when I look at it, and I look at the horrible things taking place, you wouldn’t even believe what is taking place.

The U.N. Security Council will hold an emergency meeting Friday on alleged manufacture of biological weapons in Ukraine at the request of Moscow, whose credibility on chemical weapons was questioned during a session on Syria. Russia on Thursday accused the United States of funding research into the development of biological weapons in Ukraine, which has faced an assault by tens of thousands of Russian troops since Feb. 24. Both Washington and Kyiv have denied the allegations, with the United States saying they were a sign that Moscow could soon use the weapons itself. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Russia’s allegations in a video address on Thursday,

Victoria Spartz (R-IN) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY) in introducing the American Ammo in Defense of Ukraine Act. Hudson said, “In the face of Russia’s invasion, Ukrainian President Zelensky announced he ‘needed ammunition, not a ride.’ The American Ammo in Defense of Ukraine Act will do just that by cutting red tape to ensure American ammunition can reach Ukraine faster…America must support Ukraine’s self-defense and I appreciate Congresswoman Spartz and our colleagues for joining this commonsense bill.”

Hundreds of trucks, RVs and cars descended on Washington DC Sunday, with the goal of shutting down traffic around the capital in protest of COVID-19 mandates. The “People’s Convoy,” inspired by the Canadian “Freedom Convoy” that brought Ottawa to a standstill last month, finally reached DC after departing from California last week, growing in size as others joined on the way. The stunt on Sunday failed to bring traffic to a complete standstill, but did slow it down at certain points. Convoy leaders said they plan to again drive slowly around Beltway – a 64-mile highway that encircles the city — on Monday.

The year 2022 is shaping up to be a good year for the electoral prospects of the loyal opposition. Inflation and rising gas prices, frustration with liberal political leaders who clung to COVID-19 restrictions well past their expiration date, and concerns about how the administration is handling the twin threats of Russia and China (to say nothing
Desperate House Dems Beg Biden to Come

Democrats have got nothing to run on for re-election. And that’s eating at the politicians who’ve been casting about for a catchy slogan that would fit on a bumper sticker and sweep the country. Originally, the Biden people thought that “Build Back Better” would carry them to victory. But it’s become apparent that BBB is the punchline to a joke and wouldn’t be useful. Some Democrats hit upon the brilliant slogan “Democrats Deliver!” but the White House polled the tagline and found it came in near the bottom of other suggestions. Given what Democrats have “accomplished” so far, Republicans could easily make a mockery of that slogan. “Deliver what?” they might counter.
