The White House on Sunday rejected the argument that increasing domestic oil production would help lower gas prices, as the cost of oil moves toward record highs. Crude oil prices rose as high as $130.50 a barrel on Sunday evening. White House press secretary Jen Psaki released a set of talking points on social media, arguing against a focus on boosting oil production in the United States. “It’s a reminder that real energy security comes from reducing our dependence on fossil fuels,” Psaki wrote, noting that Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine was causing a spike in oil prices. Psaki pushed back against Republicans calling for more domestic oil production.

Sure, why would Democrats want Americans to be able to drive anywhere or go to work, or soon to feed their families. Maybe when we become like Venezuela we can get foreign aid for our poverty stricken country. Who needs foreign enemies when you have Democrats and Rinos.

So somehow oil from countries like Venezuela, Iran, Russia, and Saudi Arabia is okay. But America is not. If we are worried about the environment, why do we purchase oil from countries that do not have the same standards or enforcement as we do?
Remember the line from the State of the Union address last week? Buy American. Buy American? Why aren't we producing and buying more American oil?? Even if we want to transition away from oil to other sorts of energy (and I am not convinced we need to), why would you make that transition when the other sort of energy are not reliable or capable of supplying our needs?
You can guarantee the White House has plenty of heat and AC. Ditto the mansions in Delaware owned by Biden. That $30K refrigerator in San Fran Nan's home does not run on solar or wind power.
This is all about control. Biden would rather make deals with totalitarians and dictators than do what is best for the American people. These Dems claim to care about the poor, but their actions SHOUT something just the opposite. The wealthy don't worry about their power bills or gasoline pump prices. The middle class and the poor do.
Hypocrites, the whole lot of the Leftists!

They don't want them lower, they want them higher and higher. To break us financially, to keep us at home, to cripple us, to make us beg for " green energy " which give them more cash in kickbacks an payoffs. They see our country as their cash cow , We, the People, nothing but expendable game pieces.

For to add The earth is an oil producing machine. Our oil is not finite. The left wants you to believe we can run out and that the use of oil is killing the planet. Both are lies. BIG lies.

Taxpayers pay for all the gas used by the DC swamp so why should they care about fuel prices. They hardly notice, it's the little guy who gets screwed by failed Biden policies.

The real war is the Biden administration against the American people. Question is, can we afford to wait until November to vote and then wait until January 2023 for a new Congress to be sworn in? That’s 10 more months minimum of this insanity before any changes could be made. We would still have to fight against executive orders from the Oval Office that could stymy changes made by the new Congress. Pay attention people!

Have you considered that FJB orders from China is to preserve the oil in the US until China takes over.
Use up all the oil from other countries and when China takes over, they will corner the oil market.

I disagree with Poster #1.
Despicable Joe may be despicable - - but he's not a fool. He's deathly afraid that the Russians and/or the Chinese can destroy him - - and his entire criminal family - - if he ever does anything they disapprove of. Once false move - - and the Biden Criminal Family goes poof!
None of the moves he - - and his handlers - - have made have been done out of ignorance or stupidity - - just out of blind fear.

The ONE THING that would actually WORK is using our own oil.
They want the US oil industry destroyed, and the middle class crippled. These are their intentional goals, nothing will deter them from these goals.

How do we impress this administration that WE DEMAND PRODUCTION??? How does the green fantasy agenda that is in no current position to solve ANY current problem carry more weight than a problem that we have resources readily at hand to solve and also apply hard pressure on Russia? What about what We The People want? Why are WE ALLOWING this?

They don't want boosted domestic production.
They want people waiting in line for mass transit that determines where and when they can travel.
The sooner they can force people into not driving the better is what they want.

This may be a naive or ill informed question, but why is it up to the whims of the Oval Office resident whether Americans can drill for their own oil? By what reasoning does the Executive Branch hold this power?

I notice that the simple question of why is never asked. Why is domestic production of oil off the table? It's the question most Americans are asking, and the one question never persistently asked. This simple question should be asked on an hourly basis until the demosluts are forced to answer it. We know what they will say, but we need them to say it daily and be forced to own it.

They started going up the day after this Dipstick was Inaugurated.
I Hate Absolutely HATE being thought of as an idiot by Psaki and Biden , and the rest of the Political power structure in the House and Senate.

Green New Deal Uber Alles!
The energy crisis brought on by Putin's invasion which was prompted by our election of the weakest president in American history is the radicals' perfect excuse to try to drive us to all buy their little electric boxes on wheels. Gas will become prohibitively expensive is their guiding hope. Problem is, they're rushing things because they see their best opportunity as NOW but their alternate "green" energy is years, maybe decades, away from being a reliable contributor to this country's energy needs.
They are as stupid as you think Al Gore and Bernie Sanders and the squad are.

Well of course they are because we are transitioning from fossil fuels to electric-powered vehicles, and nothing can possibly stop it, not even WWIII. The UN Agenda 2030 is being implemented as we speak and the demorussiacrats are all signed in completely. So get used to it. In January 2021 gas at my local Arco was $3.09/gallon. I just filled up and it's at $5.00/gallon. FJB. Let's go, Brandon! Do you think Joe pays for gas? hahaha, no way, he doesn't even own a car. F him and Hunter because we know Hunter is still getting his paychecks from Burisma and The Big Guy is still getting his cut from all of the other deals sonny boy is putting together. Hunter is already lining up companies to do hazardous military waste and bomb debris after the war in Ukraine is over. So C'mon man, never let a good crisis go to waste that you can make a lot of money on.

How about it's NOT THEIR DECISION! I thought we were a FREE country? Why can't business adjust their production to fill in the gaps? Why can't they sell domestically AND abroad as they seem fit? What right does the Executive Branch have to DOOM the economy or cause Inflation to harm retirees and those on fixed income? You don't get to ruin my budget to push your stinking narrative!

Biden you cheater, just tell your donors (Soros et al) that the O&G production increase will be temporary and that carbon credits to offset this production increase will be created someday, perhaps a million years from now. No biggie, bro. After you break this news to them, you should last another year at most as our pretend president.

Could not AGREE more with you #10 ! This is ALL according to plan. The people running
this country, and it IS NOT Joe Biden et al, are NOT stupid ! They know exactly what they are
doing and what their final goal is and always has been - the ruination and destruction
of this country ! Appealing to Biden and his minions ( NOT the actual controllers ) is a waste
of time. Even if we could name, locate and round up all of the people who ARE running this
country, appealing to them directly would also be a waste of time - they are NOT INTERESTED
in changing course or saving this country. Everything is going far too well for them.
I do not know how this is all going to play out but I have heard what could be called a signpost
or just food for thought - 'this country wasn't created without bloodshed and it is not going to be
saved without bloodshed either' !
Call me a conspiracy theorist if you like but keep in mind that, it's not theory if it's true, it then
becomes fact !
I can't even think of a more effective set of steps that could have been taken in the last twelve months
that would have got us where we are today any faster ! It simply cannot ALL have happened due
to blundering incompetence, ignorance and stupidity - it has worked FAR too effectively
for that to have been the methodology !
