If Putin wants to remake the Soviet Union,
what country would Russia target next?

"I’ve read most of everything he’s written," President Biden said of Russian President Vladimir Putin last month. "He has much larger ambitions in Ukraine. He wants to, in fact, reestablish the former Soviet Union. That’s what this is about." Many experts believe that Biden is right. In an often cited and perhaps highly revealing comment years ago, Putin said that he believed the fall of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century. Putin currently has his hands full with a stronger-than-expected resistance to his war on Ukraine – including at home – though his massive military is expected to eventually prevail.

Comments:

And with a low-IQ wimp in the White House, why wouldn't he?

Fox News has become a complete disgrace, a reincarnation of Hearst Media before the Spanish American War. Only Tucker attempts to report neutrally…the rest are now the Russia Russia Russia brigade. And my former favorites, Jesse Watters and Maria Bartiromo, are among the worst. The best reporting and analysis now is carried by ZeroHedge. Everyone else is taking dictation from the Ukraine Foreign Ministry.

Schmoe is so smart- no wonder he gets lots of ice cream and has people to change his diaper and each of them have one or more assistants. Of course he also believes that putin writes under the nom de plume “Korn Pop.” In schmoe’s mind he’s still a life guard who loves for children to sit in his lap and rub the hair on his legs, and korn pop/putin is a bad guy who he can successfully threaten and frighten, and he can just make up stories of such encounters and no one will know what really happened or didn’t happen. Maybe he should have stayed in that job.

Would guess the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Won't be Belarus because Putin already controls it through a puppet. What about Georgia? Don't know if that is already controlled through a Russian puppet. He won't go after any countries bordering China at this point in time. Don't want to upset the Chinese (yet).

The last time Russia had a host of losers, hanger-on, member states in its union, it failed - hard. Moldovia, GDP of $12 B. The Biden crime family takes in more cash. Think Putin wants all those Kyrgyzstan goat herders? The average per-capital of $1,300 / year. What a prize!

Financial markets are averse to threats of chaos and death. These conditions tend to interfere with formal promises between parties to service loans, which is the basis of finance. Time, they say, is nature’s way of making sure that everything doesn’t happen at once. If that’s so, then maybe time has stopped because all of a sudden everything seems to be happening at once. Three things, actually: 1) a Russian military operation in Ukraine that a lot of people in America want to turn into World War Three; 2) an epic crack-up of the world financial system; and 3)

I’m having a problem using the president’s formal title and name together. It’s not a matter of Republican disrespect for a Democrat. I referred to both Barack Obama and Bill Clinton by their presidential titles. It’s a matter of legitimacy. Over half of all Americans now believe that fraud affected the outcome of the last Presidential election. The Arizona election audit didn’t prove that the Donald won, as many hoped. But it did prove that we don’t really know who won that state. Given the election shenanigans around the country in November 2020, there is certainly justification to question the outcome.

Ukraine’s national security and defense council called for the declaration of a state of emergency on Wednesday and urged its citizens to leave Russia. The emergency affects the entire country except for the eastern regions of Donetsk and Luhansk. A state of emergency would initially last 30 days and would escalate documentation and vehicle checks, among other measures. The state of emergency is expected to be approved by the Ukrainian Parliament within 48 hours before it takes effect.

There has been no series of events more indicative of government tyranny in the name of COVID than what we’ve seen with the protest by truckers in Canada over the past several weeks. Truckdrivers who spend the vast majority of their workdays isolated in their vehicles were mandated to receive the controversial COVID vaccines, and they objected. Since then, the movement has increased in intensity and participants are no longer limited to merely truckdrivers. Arrests have been made, livelihoods have been lost, and bank accounts have been seized. And for what purpose? To force folks to receive a vaccination that doesn’t stop the spread of an endemic virus.

Last month, Cadesha Bishop, 28, pleaded guilty to abuse of an older vulnerable person resulting in substantial bodily harm or death. She had originally been charged with murder, FOX 5 of Las Vegas reported. "I’m sorry for my behavior," Bishop told the judge Friday while complaining about her portrayal in the media. "I’m sorry for the way that I was portrayed in my lowest and weakest moment of my life," she said.

"So if you fight for racial justice, this is the consequence," López tweeted along with a photo of a Washington Post headline that said she and the two other recalled board members were "seen as too focused on racial justice."

San Francisco residents overwhelmingly approved of a vote Tuesday to recall three of the city’s school board members, election officials said. Critics, including San Francisco Mayor London Breed, argued the members — school board President Gabriela López, Vice President Faauuga Moliga and Commissioner Alison Collins — pushed progressive politics rather than act in the best interest of children during the pandemic, and voters agreed, according to the San Francisco Department of Elections. "The voters of this city have delivered a clear message that the school board must focus on the essentials of delivering a well-run school system above all else," Breed said in a statement after the vote.

Blame Congress for letting the federal health agencies harm the lives of millions of Americans in this pandemic. Sure, people despair about the incredible amount of influence over Congress by corporate, narrow, and biased interests. But the bigger problem has been the uncontrolled power of Fauci and federal health agencies. Congress had lost its power to offer needed alternatives to actions by Executive agencies, namely CDC, NIH and FDA. There is an important opportunity: refund the Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, closed since 1995. It may be the only way to curb the powers of federal health agencies

When will we ever learn not to fret over what’s going on in the world? Our Democrat party overlords know what’s best for us, and all we have to do is simply follow their suggestions. After all, their solutions are so simple. Take high gas prices for example. So many of us peons worry about the skyrocketing price of gas at the pump, but America’s brilliant Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has a fix for gas prices that’s so easy it’s almost ridiculous. Why, you just need to buy an electric vehicle, you silly goose. “Clean transportation can bring significant cost savings for the American people as well,” Buttigieg said

White House press secretary Jen Psaki released a set of talking points on social media, arguing against a focus on boosting oil production in the United States. “It’s a reminder that real energy security comes from reducing our dependence on fossil fuels,” Psaki wrote, noting that Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine was causing a spike in oil prices. Psaki pushed back against Republicans calling for more domestic oil production.

Within MAGA circles, talk is turning increasingly to impeaching Joe Biden after the midterm elections—assuming, of course, the Republicans retake the House of Representatives (which appears likely). Unfortunately, actual removal would require 60 votes in the Senate. Even under the most favorable scenario, it’s unlikely the GOP will pick up more than four Senate seats.  Nonetheless, with the strong likelihood the Republicans will take control of the House, impeaching Biden looks viable. Why? Well, for the same reason a Democrat-controlled House impeached Donald Trump—twice.  The Democrats used the impeachment process to persuade millions of middle-of-the-road and independent voters that Trump had done something terribly wrong. Of course, the Democrats’ two impeachment efforts were frivolous
