Nine out of the top ten states with the most expensive cost of gas per gallon are led by Democrats, according to a report from the Republican Governors Association (RGA).  “The new data comes just days after 25 Republican governors called on the White House to reverse energy policies that have kneecapped America’s domestic energy production,” according to the organization. “Experts say the rising cost of gas is related to the effect Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has on foreign oil supplies the Biden Administration has come to rely on.” The RGA cited data from the American Automobile Association (AAA) on the most expensive average costs of gas per gallon (as of Monday morning):

Not to mention that the required California boutique gasoline formulation helps prices. The cheapest I saw today was $4.99.9. FJB F Nancy-Boy Newsom!

It's a foregone conclusion that demonrat run states would have the highest gas rates. Don't they raise their state taxes on a gallon of gas every year so they can waste it somewhere else like another freebee for the welfare types?

Pennsylvania (Governor Wolf) loves high gasoline taxes and slapping tolls on every available bridge, interstate, turnpike or 4-lane (for highway maintenance). Ask any trucker about the quality of Pennsylvania highways.

Not even Joe Biden’s allies on Capitol Hill bought the nonsense excuses he slung today while announcing an embargo on Russian oil imports. Biden claimed that high gas prices resulted from oil-producers gouging consumers, and denied entirely that he had restricted production: Really? Exactly one week ago, Biden didn’t appear to be too interested in such domestic production. His administration rolled over on a court decision to block drilling leases in the Gulf of Mexico, the Washington Post reported, and pointed out numerous other actions taken by Biden to curtail exploration and production: The Biden administration will not challenge a federal court ruling that it did not sufficiently consider climate change

This Morning Consult/Politico poll has Joe Biden at 45% approval, 51% disapproval, with a plurality of 39% strongly disapproving. That is pretty typical of recent polling. What is interesting is how respondents answered the other questions about Biden. When asked whether they agree with the statement that Biden is a weak leader, 54% said yes and 39% said no. That means that a fair number of people claim to approve of Biden’s job performance even though they think he is weak. When asked whether they agree that Biden is energetic, 37% said yes–they were lying–and 54% said no. Again, quite a few people who acknowledge that Biden lacks

Leaders in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates declined calls with President Biden as the war in Ukraine intensified, Middle East and U.S. officials told The Wall Street Journal on Tuesday. "There was some expectation of a phone call, but it didn't happen," a U.S. official told the Journal regarding a call between Biden and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. "It was part of turning on the spigot [of Saudi oil]." UAE leader Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also declined a call from Biden, according to the officials. Washington President Joe Biden's urgent global search for help shutting off Russia's oil revenues is leading, in some instances, to regimes he once sought to isolate or avoid. Biden administration officials traveled to Venezuela over the weekend for talks on potentially allowing the country to sell its oil on the international market, helping to replace Russian fuel. Biden may travel to Saudi Arabia as the US works to convince the kingdom to increase its production. And a looming nuclear deal could bring significant volumes of Iranian oil back to the market. Caracas, Riyadh and Tehran would have been unlikely sources of relief for a Biden-led Western alliance

Dear Biden Voters: Did you vote for this? Gas prices are exploding but the rise in fuel prices didn’t start last week. They’ve been going up since the moment Joe Biden took office. The legacy media wants us to believe that Russia is our biggest problem when it comes to price spikes, but the data tells us Biden has been the biggest obstacle. All the way back in January of 2021, AAA recorded the biggest jump in the national average price since 2009 (surely it’s purely coincidental that 2009 was the beginning of the previous Democrat administration). Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Kamala Harris on Monday delivered remarks on providing ‘clean’ transportation to America. Buttigieg, the small town mayor who has no idea what he’s doing, told rural Americans to buy electric vehicles to save money on gas. We are all in the midst of a turning point,” Harris said. “We have the technology to transition to a zero emission fleet.” “We have the ability to see what can be, unburdened by what has been. On Monday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) argued that in order to undermine Russia’s power, we have to “end our dependence on oil and have the world transition to renewable energy.” Because Russia will be able to sell oil as long as there’s demand for oil, and called for a “climate emergency.” Merkley said, “As long as there is a world market for oil, Russia will be able to sell its oil. And so, unfortunately, not all my colleagues yet understand that the way to undercut the power of Russia is to end our dependence on oil and have the world transition to renewable energy.”

Sen. As gas prices surged to the most expensive ever recorded on Monday, the revelations about Cortez Masto could severely jeopardize her 2022 reelection campaign. Gas prices on Monday soared in Nevada to at least $4.590 per gallon — the second-highest in the nation behind Hawaii — and even as this happened, the Democrat senator has regularly opposed initiatives that would reduce gas prices and increase American energy independence. Who wants to tell them? Now that Joe Biden has gotten pushed into an embargo on Russian oil imports — with Senate Democrats doing a considerable amount of the shoving — the inevitable problem of consumer shock at gas prices will have to get tackled next. The ban on Russian oil will definitely keep those prices escalating, unless the US can find much more production to replace it. And that has Senate Democrats panicking in a midterm cycle that already looked like a disaster: The economic reverberations of a proposed ban on Russian oil and gas imports are fueling angst among Democratic lawmakers who are wrestling
