When will we ever learn not to fret over what’s going on in the world? Our Democrat party overlords know what’s best for us, and all we have to do is simply follow their suggestions. After all, their solutions are so simple.
Take high gas prices for example. So many of us peons worry about the skyrocketing price of gas at the pump, but America’s brilliant Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has a fix for gas prices that’s so easy it’s almost ridiculous. Why, you just need to buy an electric vehicle, you silly goose.
“Clean transportation can bring significant cost savings for the American people as well,” Buttigieg said

Wuch simpletons!
EV owners not paying their fair share of road taxes are yet another reason those gaping potty holes are swallowing our cars whole.
Not to mention all the free electricity at some of our TN state parks. WHERE is my FREE gasoline?

Someone on Newsmax just said America isn't enraged enough at what the Marxists are doing to us, not to mention promoting World War. He's right! It's long past time for another revolution, dammit!

Anyone here that's taken a look at electricity prices lately? They're high and going higher. These evil @ssholes who are pushing Green are painting themselves into a corner. I literally cannot wait for the midterm elections.

If you live in a gated community with a golf course, get yourself a Club Car or a Pargo golf cart with room for two full sized staff bags on the back. Put a charger in your garage to keep the cart ready for daily golf. Then go to it. Play your heart out.
But if you have any plans that aren't very local, any electric car--not cart--is boutique transportation. The entire Green "energy" revolution (solar, wind, biofuel, etc.) needs to be ended now, rat now. It's of no use, except to impoverish Americans and make it impossible for them to travel any significant distances in private transportation. This administration is doing their level best to destroy America. Destroy them instead. Joyfully.

Where does he think the electricity comes from? It is generated from gas, oil or coal. Maybe solar panels from China. Where does he think old solar panels are disposed of? This guy knows nothing about everything.

How many people who work at McDonald's can afford an electric car? How many teachers can afford to buy an electric car? How many nurses can afford an electric car? Buttigieg is running on stupid and thinks we should all agree. Well, we don't!

They/We are NOT READY for the full scale conversion to EVs they want. Gov't going to GIVE me 40 K for my current vehicles so I can make a huge investment to purchase one of their wet dreams? (I'll be needing a large, forgivable loan for that too) And charging stations every other highway mile, plenty of fossil fuel to feed the chargers - good golly but these folks should NOT run anything more complicated than a coffee grinder.

There is a 1 in 3 likelihood that the "clean" electric energy for those electric vehicles comes by way of a miner digging black gold from the deep, dark domain, to be burned in an electric power plant.
Liberals think that electric comes from an electric outlet--it is just that simple.

The push is coming for all to "sacrifice" their gas-guzzling autos for short-distance EVs. Need to travel a long distance? Mass transit, baby! The interstates will be reserved for the transport of goods, buses, and, of course, the luxury autos of the elite. No need for the EV infrastructure if you're not allowed to use those roads. Rush (the band) had an anthem for those of us who will miss the days of free-wheeling: "Red Barchetta".
Soon to arrive: rolling brownouts and sky-high electricity prices for the fly-over country heathens.

Most Americans can’t afford to purchase a new electric motor vehicle if they were even available. Maybe he was talking about one of the new Chinese “high quality” $8,000.00 electric cars that China is planning to build and import to America.

And how are we going to produce enough electricity to power all those electric vehicles??? How about the truckers that can't run on electric (yes I know they are building electric trucks that don't run worth a darn and can't do long haul)?

Sure. My $10.00 to $15.00 per hour employees (many single mothers) will run out today and by a new Tesla, Rivian, or Lucid. Even if they purchased a Prius or other more reasonably priced new hybrid vehicle, they still couldn't afford one, couldn't find one, and most likely would not have a good enough credit score for financing. Even if they wanted a used Prius or similar vehicle, used hybrids/electrics are so expensive and used inventory is very low. Pete Buttigeig is living in a fantasy world.

Pothole Pete is a navel button echo chamber. With his head firmly entreneched up his rectum he tells everyone to go EV. With no EV infrastructure anywhere. Guess what Pothole, it takes fossil fuel to run the electric generation stations. PP is a clueless lefty that justs throws shite against the wall to see what sticks. Pothole is the face of FJB's administration, clueless from one's rectum.

Today I paid $109.00 to fill up my diesel SUV. This used to cost me about $40.00 in the fall of 2020. My business has a fleet of 15 passenger cargo vans getting 8 to 12 MPG each. It currently costs about $100.00 to fill them up. In the summer of 2020 it cost about $35.00 to fill them up. Does Mayor Pete suggest I replace my diesel SUV to haul four kids with a small electric car? Do I need to replace a paid off fleet of large cargo vans with an expensive fleet of electric cargo vans that I cannot afford? A more simple solution to the high gas prices would be to simply do what we were doing in the summer of 2020. Produce our own oil and gas and stop buying it from overseas!

This ignorant jerk would be a great nanny if he’s qualified. Electricity is produced from, wait for it, fossil fuels. Electric cars are a liberal fad, much like the ‘hybrids’. They are powered by lithium batteries. 90% of our lithium supply comes from China. When BS meets reality it can be really awkward for liberals.

Can anyone here recall seeing the graveyard of electric taxis in Paris? They went all electric taxis and when it came time to replace the batteries the cost for exponential and they just dumped them in the junkyard in a cost effective move and went back to hybrids or gas powered. The environmental impact of throwing those taxis and their batteries away is more toxic than decades of emissions. We are dealing with idiots.

Arguing the faults and environmental problems with EVs is pointless. The purpose of shutting down fossil fuel is to prevent travel, keep us in hell hole cities and keep us from moving away from the decay. And don't forget all the public transportation that's begging for brave riders.

Any totalitarian state cracks down on travel. That is what Pete Butt is really pushing. He knows most people cannot afford EVs, and he knows cross country travel by auto will become much more difficult. This is all by design.

The company that supplies my electricity went up 31% last month, some people's bills doubled. So ye they can save money on gas and spend it on electricity.

That's OK. I'm sure the administration of not-my-president Lyin' Joe bidet will decide to provide EV's for free to all low-income minority people in this country by dictatorial decree.
Hey, it's just a couple of trillion dollars. That won't affect inflation at all!!! And we all know how well that people take care of things they don't have to work for.

And where, pray tell me, are you going to get an EV? How are you going to afford one? This from a guy with plenty of dough at his disposal. Most folks cannot afford a new car these days, let alone an EV.
Also, have you seen car lots? Nearly empty. Buying a car when the ports are backed up and when inflation is high and when employers cannot find workers is NOT an easy thing to do.
The Sec. of Transportation is an idiot. An out-of-touch idiot. I don't give a damn who he sleeps with. None of my business. That neither qualifies nor disqualifies him from the job. But being a bloody idiot SHOULD disqualify him.

I recently attended a conference in Charleston, SC. I drove from Cheyenne, WY for three days, roughly 1800 miles, attended my conference for four days and returned to Cheyenne. If I were to have done this in an EV how many days would it have taken? Maybe 400 miles before needing an overnight stay to recharge the battery. So five days for the drive each way. So my ten day trip becomes a 14 day trip, with at least four more nights in motels. No thank you.
