Berkeley, California has approved a plan that prohibits police officers from conducting traffics stops. The plan, proposed by the mayor and approved in a virtual city council meeting early Wednesday morning, is just one part of a major "defund the police" overhaul planned by the city, Fox News reported.

On one side, we have anti-Trump individuals and groups such as the Lincoln Project claiming, “Trump doesn’t care whether your kids live or die.” On the other, conservatives are loudly beating the drum about the importance of in-person learning. Trump himself has come out strongly in favor of opening schools come fall.
This isn’t just politics; conservatives are the ones who tend to have children, and more of them, and thus, they understand the vital importance of in-person learning.

LA Times contributor Jody Rosen cited “viral posts on social media” which said the anthem is racist, then argued it is aesthetically a bad song in the article. Rosen concluded saying the message of “Lean on Me” can be a foundation for a “decent” society.
“If the point of a national anthem is to provide a mnemonic, a reminder in music and words of the ideas and values that this place is supposed to stand for, you could do worse than ‘Lean on Me,’” Rosen wrote.
