At the end of an interview with Trump Campaign Director of Communications Tim Murtaugh on Wednesday’s “MSNBC Live,” NBC host Chuck Todd stated that “there is no editorial point of view here on any of these newscasts on MSNBC in the daytime.”Murtaugh responded to a question from Todd’s co-host, Katy Tur, on the safety of Trump’s events by stating that the Trump rallies took precautions and argued that Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt’s (R) coronavirus diagnosis could not be pinned on the rally in Oklahoma because it took place 25 days after the rally.Murtaugh concluded his remarks by referencing the recent protests and stating that there

President Trump, in a “Fox News Sunday” interview with Chris Wallace set to air Sunday, blamed surging violence across the country on “stupidly run” cities, while also offering support for facial coverings to stop the spread of coronavirus but saying he wouldn't issue a national mandate. During the exclusive interview at the White House on Friday, Wallace asked Trump to explain why murder rates were up in cities like Chicago and New York. “I explain it very simply by saying they’re Democrat-run cities, they are liberally run. They are stupidly run,” the president said.

Pennsylvania State University recently removed a tweet welcoming conservative perspectives after the school received backlash on social media and complaints from students. This intolerance does not surprise conservatives familiar with our higher education institutions. Our colleges and universities, especially the elite ones, indoctrinate more students into anti-American sentiments every year, all the while happily accepting billions of dollars in federal funding. But higher education faces an era of high financial instability due to the unsure state of social distancing and the probable enrollment drop induced by a baby bust. Colleges are begging for extra financial assistance during these unsure times. Conservatives, especially those in the executive branch of the federal government,

Los Angeles County, the nation’s second-largest school district, announced this week that students will not be returning for in-person classes this fall and must instead continue to participate in the failed distance-learning experiment it initiated after the onset of COVID-19. This decision was made not by the parents or the schools but by the teachers union, which has opposed all attempts to reopen the county’s schools. United Teachers Los Angeles, which represents more than 35,000 teachers in the area, argued at first that the health of its members and the students they teach was the primary concern. Without fail, the media seems intent on making America out to be the lone failure in the world in the battle against the coronavirus. Many media outlets have described the United States as “losing the war” against the coronavirus because of the number of cases keeps going up. Axios, for example created a chart show that if all coronavirus patients (confirmed cases) were a city, it would be the third-largest city in the country. The recent trend of the media to focus on the total number of cases seems to be a result of the recent spike cases that failed to produce a similar spike in deaths.
