Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said that if he wins the presidency in November's election, he will raise taxes on Americans who earn more than $400,000 a year. In an interview with ABC's David Muir that aired Sunday, Biden discussed his plan for raising taxes that included this segment of the population and appeared to include businesses as well.“I will raise taxes for anybody making over $400,000,” Biden said. “Let me tell you why I'm going to do it. It’s about time they start paying a fair share of the economic responsibility we have. The very wealthy should pay a fair share — corporations should pay a fair share.”

Joe Biden’s campaign spokeswoman could barely contain her glee at the news that Steve Bannon is being indicted by the Southern District of New York on a variety of fraud allegations related to fundraising for “We Build the Wall,” telling USA Today that “no one needed an indictment to know that Steve Bannon is a fraud.” But a close reading of the indictment shows that the politicization of the DOJ by elements of the radical left has been its own long-running fraud.

President Trump will speak each of the four nights of the Republican National Convention to deliver an uplifting message to the American people, a campaign adviser said on Sunday — as the full list of speakers was released. “You’ll have President Trump speaking at various parts for each of the nights,” Jason Miller told host Chuck Todd on NBC News’ “Meet the Press.” Calling last week’s Democratic National Convention that nominated Joe Biden as president and Sen. Kamala Harris as vice president a “massive grievance fest,” Miller said the RNC will tell a “beautiful story."

In mid-March of 2020, the United States of America became a socialist country, despite President Trump's promise in his State of the Union address one year prior. To those who lost their non-essential jobs, those who met empty shelves, those who discovered that their "free" education was too costly, those driven insane by incessant fear-mongering, and those faced with capricious and nonsensical restrictions — welcome to socialism. Deceived by the arrogance of science and appeal to authority, or perhaps with false science to mask nefarious motives, public health and safety were used as a contrivance to replace liberty, freedom, and democracy with the Game of Socialism

We argued last week that California’s blackouts offered a grim preview of the left’s energy agenda. But that’s only part of the carefully concealed truth about renewables. Those solar panels so precious to the you-must-conform greenshirts are a particularly nasty environmental menace. “The state, once known for its plentiful, cheap and reliable energy supplies, is now dealing with rolling blackouts as its green energy infrastructure buckles under the strain of summer heat,” we said Thursday, because the wind sometimes refuses to blow and the sun isn’t always shining, not even in California. Of course a few virtue-signaling commenters charged to

Contrary to much speculation on the right, Democrats stuck with the fast-failing, feeble Joe Biden through their hilariously inept convention – Stop! Hey! What’s that sound! Look at this LP of my grandpa’s that I found! – and they are now well and truly stuck with him. Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit did not stagger in, waving her half-empty bottle of screw-top Trader Joe’s Chardonnay, and putsch him out of the way. Michelle stayed put in her seaside villa from which she chides us for, among other things, not taking the global warming hoax’s rising ocean threat seriously. And Kamala failed to get that box of “special” chocolates

Make way for the U.S.S.A. — the United Surveillance States of America. And it’s all due to COVID-19. A contact tracing app that administrators at a college in Michigan forced on all students as a condition of their presence on campus not only identifies the app user by name — not only pinpoints the app user by geographic location — not only generates a specific code that labels the app user as either “certified” or “denied,” based on required coronavirus test results — but also sends an alert to school bureaucrats about “denied” students behaving against COVID-19 protocols. Administrators then, in turn, can lock these students’ identification cards

Vanishing Volunteers at the Polls

The good news is that leading experts believe it will be safe for nearly all Americans to vote in person at the polls this November. Dr. Anthony Fauci told National Geographic that those who are medically compromised can vote by mail but that otherwise “there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be able to vote in person or otherwise.” The bad news is that states are facing a shortage of thousands of poll workers as older volunteers at higher risk for coronavirus cancel plans to show up on Election Day. America already faced a vanishing corps of volunteers before the virus, as existing ones retired or died.

More than 534,000 mail ballots were rejected during primaries across 23 states this year — nearly a quarter in key battlegrounds for the fall — illustrating how missed delivery deadlines, inadvertent mistakes and uneven enforcement of the rules could disenfranchise voters and affect the outcome of the presidential election. The rates of rejection, which in some states exceeded those of other recent elections, could make a difference in the fall if the White House contest is decided by a close margin, as it was in 2016, when Donald Trump won Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin by roughly 80,000 votes.

One of the most revolting things about Joe Biden’s candidacy is his dishonest insistence that Donald Trump called white supremacists “fine people.” Democrats have successfully used this hoax to brainwash large parts of the American public into believing that Trump and his supporters are racists and anti-Semites. One wonders, therefore, how much consternation there is in Biden campaign headquarters now that Richard Spencer, one of America’s best-known neo-Nazis, is all in for Biden. To fully appreciate what should be one of the biggest stories in the presidential campaign, there are two things you need to know

Joe Biden has faced questions on his mental and physical acuity throughout his presidential bid. For example, he first said he is cognitively tested ‘all the time’ and then clarified to say he has not had a formal cognitive test But there is a larger issue lingering over the 77-year-old — Joe Biden has not been tested for COVID-19. Joe Biden receives Secret Service protection and intelligence briefings similar to that of the President. So why is he refusing to be tested regularly, as the President is, for a highly contagious virus that has killed 173,000 Americans?

Sunday afternoon, the Trump campaign put out a press release containing bullet points of the second-term agenda he’ll run on. It feels like it’s late in the game for him to do that, perhaps, but on the other hand this week is the opening of the Republican convention — so sure, the timing for the agenda makes sense. It’s been said repeatedly that Trump can’t just wait around for Joe Biden to implode — though the chances aren’t terrible that Biden will do just that, given his 100 percent propensity to vaporize as a presidential candidate in the past and his current suspect capacity with respect to what’s inside his cranium.

Despite the fact that he would be 82 years old at the start of his second term, Joe Biden on Sunday declared that he would “absolutely” serve a full eight years if elected president in November. If you remember, back in May, he answered concerns about his declining cognitive function by saying, “I will be a transition candidate.” But in his first prime-time interview since April, on ABC’s “World News Tonight,” Biden emphatically denied he meant he would serve only one term. “No. It doesn’t mean that.” Then he laughed off a question about his mental fitness. “Watch me.”

For example, until I saw that someone referred in print to Russell Baker as a "humorist," I had no idea his columns were supposed to be funny, though I had stopped reading them years earlier because they were so dull. Anyway, the Times always had a liberal bias in its news pages, but the bias was almost entirely in what was covered and how it was covered. The stories themselves were written and edited in a careful, nonpartisan way. At some point, the Times starting to run "news analysis,"
