Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden said that if he wins the presidency in November's election, he will raise taxes on Americans who earn more than $400,000 a year. In an interview with ABC's David Muir that aired Sunday, Biden discussed his plan for raising taxes that included this segment of the population and appeared to include businesses as well.“I will raise taxes for anybody making over $400,000,” Biden said. “Let me tell you why I'm going to do it. It’s about time they start paying a fair share of the economic responsibility we have. The very wealthy should pay a fair share — corporations should pay a fair share.”

This is exact;y how you destroy an economy.

Why is it fair to take money from people making over $400K so they are paying their fair share but not unfair that 47% of the population pays no income taxes at all on their income?

As usual, a non seroius solution to a very real problem. Dems need money and lots of it. Anyone making more than $400K a year is in the top 1% (and more like top 0.2% of earners. Actually very rare. Biden and Dems would steal a lot more money if they added a 1% incearse in taxes on the bottom 49% of earners that pay nothing. But that would be class warfare and certain class warfare is more equal than others.

Currently, the top 10% of earners (those earning above $120K) pay 70% of all the income taxes paid each year. The top 1%, earning over $389K, pay 35% of all taxes paid. And Senile Joe says about those folks "It’s about time they start paying a fair share of the economic responsibility we have." What a Marxist load of manure, they already pay more than 1/3 of all income taxes paid. The bottom 50% of earners pay less than 3% of all income taxes. Half the country basically doesn't contribute but a drop in the bucket. The top 10% of the country pays the overwhelming majority - 70%.

Yeah, right. The folks with lots of bucks (including the Bidens and their hard-working son, Hunter) will find all sorts of loopholes and tricks to avoid the tax penalty. At best, you can screw the rich out of their money once (ask how that excise tax on "luxury boats" went). Somehow, the real tax increase will hit the middle class, $50,000 + up. It's because that's where they can get the most money.

This is how the trap is always baited. Cast your votes and before you look up $400,000 has become $40,000. If you fall for this one you deserve to lose your economic independence.

Mendacious Joe actually means $400,000 in a lifetime, not per year. And he doesn’t explain that raising gasoline and diesel prices to $7.50 to $10.00 per gallon and quadrupling electricIty and natural gas rates are also taxes. Biden’s goal is to greatly reduce our standard of living and freedoms under the false claim of saving the earth. As to this Marxist Green New Deal, the only green that Joe Biden really wants is from the no show jobs for Hunter and federal contracts for the Biden family,

Biden will raise taxes on everyone, even the very poor. He will do this be raising taxes on those mean old corporations whom Bernie and Warren hate so much. Then those corporations in order to survive must pass their costs, including taxes on to those who buy their products. This includes everything that people buy, even what the poor buy.

Anytime the liberal Democrats claim that they are going to tax the rich to pay for their social welfare programs it never actually works out that way, as there are never enough rich people to tax, as the rich have the wherewithal to hire accountants and lawyers to be able to use every loophole that is purposefully placed in the law so that the rich can shield their income from taxes. The result of that is that the people who actually end up paying a lot more in taxes are the vast middle class. That has happened just about every time in the past, and you can bet that it will occur again under Joseph Biden if he gets the opportunity to do so, because as they say, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. So beware and vote in the November election.

An old Indian trick 15 replies

As wise stewards of the land, North America's Indians routinely started forest fires. They wanted grazing grounds for the animals they hunted and open spaces to live and hunt on. So before Columbus arrived, there was a lot less forested land than we have today. The Europeans put an end to the Indian fires, and for centuries, they harvested the forests for timber. But that has ended in many parts of the country, California in particular. After the 1906 earthquake, San Francisco was rebuilt using lumber from the Santa Cruz forest, just south of the city. But I don't believe it's been harvested since.

To my surprise, Jack Cashill's new book, Unmasking Obama, couldn't be more relevant to the political struggle facing us today. In 2020, as in 2008 (and throughout the two Obama presidential terms), the key to political power is what must be called "information warfare" (my term, not Jack's) between the mighty establishment media and the feisty conservative alternative media, which Jack likens to the samizdat underground commentary in the old Soviet Union. It is the process of the unmasking of the phony propaganda peddled by the all-powerful establishment by the resource- and prestige-poor "Lilliputians" (an appropriation of Jonathan Swift's work that the satirist surely would approve of)
