Two Wisconsin police officers are on leave Monday as state authorities investigate why a Black man was shot multiple times in the back as he entered the driver's side door of an SUV, officials said. The man's three children -- 3, 5 and 8 -- were in the car, a family attorney said. Identified by Wisconsin's governor as Jacob Blake, the man is in serious condition and fighting for his life. Attorney Ben Crump, who now represents the Blake family, posted a video of the Sunday evening shooting in Kenosha. The footage spread across social media, sparking protests and leading county officials to institute a

WTF?? you are leaving the scene of a disturbance where police have responded and refuse to stop leaving the scene even as they are following you with guns drawn ordering you to stop and then enter a car? do you think the cops thought he was going for a gun?? Maybe? when will we find out why he was so determined to leave the scene?

No, I WILL NOT read any CNN on this topic.
I don't need the lies that WILL fill the "article".
I'll wait a few days or a week and get the facts as they leak out past the Enemedia dam.

#2, C'mon, man!
We shouldn't believe one word of the story at this point. Don't be suckered AGAIN.

Chris Plante was just talking about this on his show and said that Blake went to his car and stooped over as if trying to get something from under the front seat. Now what are the police supposed to do about that after he has already resisted arrest? Wait for him to pull out a weapon and attack them?

When all you have is a hammer - every screw becomes a nail. I certainly don't believe in 'de-funding' the police but the day is coming when the average officer will instead be 'dis-armed' and much as with the police in the UK will no longer carry a gun. In this day and age no one can hide for long. Block this dudes car from moving and video everything. If need be, this perp could be easily found later.

I watched the video. I’m sure there is going to be more to this story coming out. But, it seemed to me that they had options before he got in his car that didn’t include shooting him.

I'll take "More To This Story That We're Not Being Told" for $500, Alex.

"Attorney Benjamin Crump", now where have I heard that name before? It seems like it keeps cropping up in stories that are falsely portrayed as a black man being unjustifiably killed.

I do not understand why the police have to be called in for domestic disturbances. Why not call social services for them to deal with these situations and the police be called if it gets out of hand. Same thing with the George Floyd situation. It was about a $20 counterfeit bill. The police seem to be burdened with every problem society is faced with but scrutinized when things go wrong. Usually things go wrong when someone doesn't cooperate with the police. Wonder where all the hate for the police comes from? Start with Tony Evers. How about the mayor of Kenosha, Wisconsin? He is quick to point fingers at others but why isn't he putting policies in place to take the burdens off the police? Not his job, I guess.

Shouldn't the headline be Black man resists arrest, makes move to reach for something under seat and is shot by Kenosha police as children watch from a car?

Don't go back to your car and start reaching under the seat like you're looking for a weapon, dummy.

Insanity. What do these people not understand. In every single incident they refuse to comply with any instructions and that includes George Floyd. Respect goes both ways. Again, why can't they just listen to the cops instructions.

No, #8, they had no "other options".
They repeatedly told him to stop, and he refused.
If they had rushed him and taken him down, that video of the "racist" cops attacking an unarmed black man would have gotten them crucified.
And they could have waited to see what he was reaching for in his car, but that is exactly how a large number of police officers end up dead every year!!!!
Lets face it, if this guy had been white, this probably wouldn't have even made the local news.

What I saw from the short video: the police told him to stop multiple times, he proceeded to walk from the passenger side to the driver side of the vehicle, opened the door and reached down to retrieve something from the floor as one officer tugged on his shirt. The police may have had reason to believe he was reaching for a weapon, and from that distance, they didn't have much time to make a shoot/don't shoot decision.

So what they're, everyone who wasn't there, saying is that a wonderful black man and father was trying to resolve a dispute and was walking back to a car when the murderous police assassinated him for no good reason. Is that about it?

He got shot because the police have experience with BLM and Antigua.
Its like a prophecy were it creates the conditions of its fulfillment.
They should have waited till he turned around. But they would like to come home safe to their families, too.

Actually, poster 11, they could have called in the secret service for the counterfeit bill. Passing or creating conterfeits can get you in more trouble than murder.
Its not JUST a conterfeit, ever.
And from everything I read Floydd essentially committed suicide. It was the drugs, not the way the cop restrained him, that killed him.

I think we’re going to see more and more of this in smaller cities like this and the suburbs. The vic, who has an extensive criminal record, as other L.commers point out, wantonly disregarded the police’s orders, walking around his car before reaching under the front seat. For what? And what were the police supposed to do? Wait to be shot?
They’re trying to make him another Georgie-boy Floyd -- but this time going straight to arson and mayhem, skipping the unnecessary fake formalities.

#8 I expect there were other options... All of which would have risked lives. We've lost a lot of good cops and loved ones in situations like these. I'm gonna guess that a reasonable person in the same situation wouldn't be pondering creative solutions to the potentially life threatening situation. No, this is what all that repetitive and rigorous training its for.

Watching video gives strong impression that one or both cops were very inexperienced in handling a confrontation and in the use of a firearm. The one officer who followed Blake around the SUV with his gun drawn and pointing at Blake did what such an apparently amateurish act would lead to, he fired his weapon. Whether there was a gun under the seat or not, the officer fired because that was why he was aiming his weapon at the suspect. He didn’t shoot because of the victim’s color but because firing the weapon appeared to be the natural next step with a weapon pointed at a possible threat.
What happened to police night sticks? If the officers could have used a night stick to subdue Blake, they may have been able to avoid drawing their weapons. Instead, their primary reaction was to use their weapons that they had unholstered and aimed at Blake.

The concept of "stop or I'll shoot" is completely lost on today's generation. I'll start to feel sorry when these "victim" start listening to the cops and get shot.

XiNN is still working to make more riots.
Sheesh. Must do wonders for their ratings.
Black man resists arrest. Black man walks away. Black man reaches under seat of vehicle. Right. He had a bottle of soda he was going to share with the cops.
Sure. Kenosha will be burned to the ground. There will be no town left standing.
Remember: police are subhuman. They do not have the right to life.
They are fair game, and you get a notch in the butt of your gun when you plug one.

Crump gets to the scene almost as fast as the bullets.
I have to grudgingly admire him for his speed, but nothing else.

The Police Officers acted stupidly. The Dumb(deaf & mute) black Medical Intern was reaching for a box of chocolate under the seat for the Police Officers as a gesture of apology for the trouble he's created.
