President Donald Trump's younger brother, Robert Trump, a businessman known for an even keel that seemed almost incompatible with the family name, died Saturday night after being hospitalized in New York, the president said in a statement. He was 71.
The president visited his brother at a New York City hospital on Friday after White House officials said he had become seriously ill.

It’s hard to pinpoint which mainstream media lie about President Trump over the last four years has been the most egregious and flagrant. But my personal opinion is that the fake news they continue to spread about his position on mail-in voting should easily rank in the top five.(Snip)You have to read another six paragraphs and then scroll down below a large news video on the topic to find out the Trump’s issue is not vote-by-mail, but rather the process of states mass mailing ballots to voters they have listed on their voter rolls regardless of whether or not the person has requested the ballot:

Gold's Gym has become synonymous with the Hollywood Dream. Oman said Friday that it backed the normalization of ties between the neighboring United Arab Emirates and Israel, expressing hope that the move would help achieve lasting Israeli-Palestinian peace.
A foreign ministry spokesman expressed the sultanate’s “support for the UAE’s decision regarding relations with Israel” according to a statement on Oman’s official news agency. The statement expressed hope that the move would “contribute to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East and in a manner that would serve the aspirations of the peoples of the region.”

The deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates to establish diplomatic relations could lead other countries in the region to carve out their own plans, but it's unlikely that Saudi Arabia, arguably the most important geo-political Gulf state, will follow suit anytime soon, according to experts who specialize in the region. President Trump will participate in every day of the Republican National Convention (RNC), an untraditional move for the nominee who is typically highlighted on the final night of festivities, Fox News has learned. But Trump already bucked tradition once before when, four years ago, he made a surprise appearance on the first night of the RNC in Cleveland to introduce his wife, Melania, before her speech to the 2016 delegates. This time around, Trump is slated to give his acceptance speech on the fourth and final night of the convention on Aug. 27 -- "probably" delivered from the White House, he told the New York Post.

The multiplicity of crises, from political to economic to coronavirus-related, is distracting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Benny Gantz from an important shift in the Middle East, which has major implications for Israel’s security. Namely: China’s moves in Iran and Saudi Arabia.
When Netanyahu and Gantz talk about Iran, they dwell on the Iranian-Syrian axis and insist that the international community, especially the United States, should escalate the sanctions against the Islamic Republic. But this policy to which they and the entire Israeli defense establishment have been adhering becomes ever less relevant as indications mount that China is stepping up its involvement in Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Anything of note happen this week? I’ve actually been distracted by things. I hear Joe Biden has selected the next President of the United States. Very nice of him to do it for us; saves us the trouble of a nomination contest and such. I hear the going rate for food tasters has gone up sharply over the last 72 hours. Funny, with so many restaurants closed down you’d think there’d be a lot of them available.

It has become almost conventional wisdom that if Joseph Biden is elected President this November he will only serve one term and not seek reelection in 2024. Given Biden's age, this makes intuitive sense. At 77, he is already the oldest person ever to be a major party candidate for President. Although his doctor says he's in good health for a man his age, there is no guarantee that he will remain so for another four years, let alone eight. This reality framed Biden's decision about choosing a running mate. Because of his age, Biden needed to choose somebody who

President Trump just brokered the most important Middle East deal in years: a peace agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
The announcement was made Thursday by Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed. Dubbed the Abraham Accord, it puts the two nations on the road to full normalization of ties — a first for the Jewish state and a Gulf Arab nation.
They’ll sign agreements on issues, including investment, tourism, technology and culture. And Israel will have to ditch plans to annex certain areas in the West Bank. “Israel will suspend declaring sovereignty” over areas in Trump’s peace plan

There are reasons for that, starting with the gunshots back in Phoenix that split apart and redirected the paths of the fighting Benavidez brothers, threatening to derail their father’s dream. José Benavidez Sr. had stolen food, slept in cars, carried guns, boosted stereos, learned a sport, opened gyms, fought off rivals. After all of that, he says his life became “a little bit more complicated.”

Bill Gates this week added more flame to the fire in the ongoing debate over the usage of hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19, claiming that using the drug to treat the coronavirus carries with it the risk of "severe side effects" and arguing that medical officials should instead pursue the numerous "good therapeutic drugs" currently in development.
Yet there is at present little evidence that "severe side effects" are common in COVID-19 patients who take hydroxychloroquine, with the majority of reported adverse events being relatively mild and only a small fraction of reported effects so far being dangerous and/or fatal.

"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace is in disbelief over the Biden campaign's decision not to have any top officials appear on the Sunday talk shows the weekend before the Democratic National Convention. The veteran journalist called it "the damnedest thing [he's] ever seen" in a Friday interview with Guy Benson on Fox News Radio.
"So I've been doing Sunday shows with conventions. I started on Meet the Press in 1988. I've been doing it on and off. For what? What is that? Thirty-two years," Wallace said.

Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot's (D.) decision to renovate a local convention center into a makeshift coronavirus hospital cost taxpayers nearly $66 million—though only 38 patients received treatment at the facility, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Friday.
The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, the agency Lightfoot tasked with overseeing the project, overlooked a bid from a construction company that offered to waive fees or donate them to coronavirus pandemic relief organizations. Instead, officials gave the bid to Walsh Construction, a politically connected contractor, which billed the city $65.9 million to renovate the McCormick Place convention center.

The FBI was told Carter Page was a U.S. intelligence agency source months before the agency began keeping that information from the secret court that authorized spying on him and nearly a full year before the agency altered documents to claim otherwise.
Federal charging documents against Kevin Clinesmith, the top FBI attorney who was expected to plead guilty today to altering documents, show that the FBI withheld in three separate spying applications the fact that Page had served as an “operational contact” who helped an agency believed to be the CIA investigate suspected Russian intelligence figures for five years. For the fourth application, the agency didn’t just hide that fact,

The last few months or so have been perhaps the worst that the U.S.-China relationship has seen in generations. In just the past few weeks, several incidents have occurred including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo calling out the dangers of authoritarian China in his address to the Slovenian people regarding 5G technology, and the Chinese military conducting reactionary drills around East Asia in the aftermath of America sending aircraft carrier groups to the South China Sea to perform dual-carrier exercises in July.

California’s high-capacity magazine limitations for guns “infringes on [the] fundamental right to self defense” and is therefore unconstitutional, according to a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. District Court of Appeals. Yes, the court previously known as the “9th Circus” for being the most Leftist, most overturned, and most wrong court in the land, ruled in favor of the rights of gun owners on Friday afternoon.
California deemed that the use or sale of magazines with a higher capacity than ten bullets (LCMs) are illegal. Voters passed the measure. The three-judge panel in the 9th Circuit Court ruled that the limitation is unconstitutional.

Kamala Harris is devoted to the political advancement of Kamala Harris. (Just ask Willie Brown.) Beyond that, she has no apparent principles, although she is happy to adopt extreme leftism as the guise of the moment. During the primary season, she attacked Joe Biden quite effectively, claiming to believe the women who accused him of sexual harassment, and so on.
But, like the rest of Harris’s life, it was all a pose. That is how she explained it to Stephen Colbert, who naively assumed that Harris might have meant at least some of what she said about Biden:(Snip for tweet)It was a debate! She was just trying to become president!

Say, kids, did you know “Blazing Saddles” is “an overt and audacious spoof on classic Westerns”? Well, now you do, thanks to the trigger warning that has just been slapped on the movie by HBO Max, which hired University of Chicago professor Jacqueline Stewart to set things up for anyone who might be clicking on the Mel Brooks comedy thinking they’re in for Swedish drama about the lingonberry harvest.
Stewart informs us that the movie features “racist language and attitudes” but “Those attitudes are espoused by characters who are explicitly portrayed here as narrow-minded, ignorant bigots.

I thought there was nothing harder than being a war reporter until I became a columnist: I have been reading the complete works of Kamala Harris for 48 hours, and, in all honesty, I would rather be sodomized by a tribe of Mursi in any African war than continue reading. But I’m just a lowly news-worker fulfilling my informative duties. In fact, on Tuesday, as soon as I heard that Kamala Harris would be the Democratic vice presidential candidate, the first thing I did was call Joe Biden to let him know. After reviewing thousands of pages and statements from Kamala, my conclusion

To be clear, the request here isn’t to let Pennsylvania voters mail ballots after polls close. They need to be postmarked before then. The request is to have the court extend the deadline for when ballots need to be received in order to be counted, which by law is 8 p.m. on Election Day. Right now, the Postal Service recommends that ballots be mailed a full week before Election Day, i.e. October 27, in order to ensure that they’re received on time. But Pennsylvania law allows voters to *apply* for a ballot up until October 27. That means many voters won’t even have ballots

San Francisco-based power provider PG&E Corp said on Friday it has started rotating power outages at the direction of California's grid operator, impacting about 200,000 to 250,000 customers at a time, given the strain on the power grid during the statewide heatwave.
The company said in a statement it is not calling a public safety power shut-off, which is conducted during specific high fire threat conditions. PG&E said its outages, directed by the California Independent System Operator, are expected to impact up to 250,000 customers at a time in rotations of one hour each.

Despite the best-friend bond Joe Biden touts with former President Obama, tensions have lingered between the two statesmen over their vastly different governing styles, according to a Politico report.
To start, a number of anonymously sourced quotes from Obama leaked out throughout the 2020 Biden campaign where the former president allegedly expressed doubts about his former running mates’ fitness for office.
“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f--k things up,” one Democrat who spoke to the former president recalled him saying.
When lamenting his own diminishing relationship with the current Democratic electorate, particularly in Iowa, Obama reportedly told one 2020 candidate: “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”

The Democratic National Convention has released a list of the musical acts that will be performing during next week’s dramatically downsized, 100-percent “virtual” convention.
The lineup includes John Legend, Leon Bridges, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Hudson, The Chicks, and Common.(Snip)The Chicks made headlines earlier this year when the groups, formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, removed “Dixie” to distance themselves from any moniker that has any connection to the Old South. The group is no stranger to political or social controversy.

More and more Americans in denial are being forced to face the reality that their country is on verge of being lost, with the barbarians not only inside the gates, but driving policy for the rest of us. When Democrat mayor after mayor bends to the demands of Black Lives Matter (BLM) to defund their police in the aftermath of violent protests, property destruction, and looting, locals freak out knowing that bad actors will be emboldened and violence will escalate. BLM doesn’t even try to hide that its leaders are Marxists and that it has effectively become a paramilitary wing of the Democrat Party. BLM has received millions

A House Democrat on Friday proposed the creation of a Presidential Crimes Commission, a panel that would investigate allegations against President Trump and his administration after he leaves office. "I don’t say this lightly: when we escape this Trump hell, America needs a Presidential Crimes Commission. It should be made up of independent prosecutors who look at those who enabled a corrupt president. Example 1: Sabotaging the mail to win an election. #SaveThePostOffice," U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., tweeted.(Snip)Democratic lawmakers have requested that $3.5 billion be granted to the Postal Service specifically to assist with the handling of mail-in ballots.

MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski repeatedly ranted throughout Friday’s broadcast of the show over everything Donald Trump, suggesting that he was intentionally letting people die from COVID-19. Brzezinski, who appeared to be in a near state of rage throughout the show, repeatedly berated the president with names, and later, at the end of the show, said, “If you’re sensing a little intensity here, I’m a little amped up because this is an emergency.” The video clip below, compiled by Grabien News founder Tom Elliott, is a supercut video that shows the highlights from Brzezinski’s ravings. NEW YORK - Plans are back on to beam twin columns of light into the Manhattan sky to represent the World Trade Center during next month's anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation announced Friday that it is working on plans to shine the twin beams during its alternative 9/11 ceremony. The move comes a day after the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, which organizes the main annual tribute at the trade center site, canceled the light display over concerns about work crews during the coronavirus pandemic. Three Mississippi police officers have been charged with second-degree murder in the death of a Black man last year, according to a recently unsealed indictment.
A Hinds County grand jury indicted the officers in the January 2019 death of George Robinson, 62, according to the Aug. 5 indictment.
It accuses the officers — Desmond Barney, Lincoln Lampley and Anthony Fox — with "willfully, unlawfully and feloniously” causing Robinson's death, The Clarion Ledger reported. All three worked for the Jackson Police Department at the time.

The New York City Police Benevolent Association personally endorsed President Trump on Friday night for the next election as the commander in chief leans into his “law and order” platform. The Post exclusively reported earlier Friday that the PBA planned to back him amid the city’s increase in crime and clashes with protesters “I cannot remember when we’ve ever endorsed for the president of the United States until now — that’s how important this is,” said Pat Lynch, the combative PBA president at an event with Trump in his Bedminster club Friday evening.“We need your strong voice across the country,”
