with Joe's Dementia

How sad & upsetting. Shame on his family for putting him in this position. Is Jill in denial? Or is she that ambitious? Will the democrats contest the election when Biden loses? Or do they think that the crooked media, the threat of Covid, voter fraud/mail-in-ballots & the irrational hatred for Trump will win them the election?

I see my brother when I look and hear Joe Biden. Joe's in the first stages. I have also questioned Jill's reasons to do this to her husband. The one thing that bothers me the most is the media. They actually conned the gullible people into believing that this virus was so dangerous. Then the democrats enforced this fear by murdering the elder in facilities to push up the numbers. What a con job. I fear they are doing it with Joe. Sounds crazy but don't put anything pass a desperate democrat.

The Dem/Left is attempting to pull off the most extensive, most treacherous, evil, contemptuous, seditious con job on the American people. If they succeed, it's the end of our Constitutional Republic. They have already told us that they will dismantle our body of Laws, our Constitution. Our Bill of Rights will be rendered a useless appendage, they will keep pieces of the stump deemed of expediential value for their revolutionary ends.

Biden is not making any decisions, including that Harris is the VP nominee. He's being told what to do. He will not be making the decisions. Harris is a phony and is a greater threat to the U.S. than the damage done by Obama. Her lust for power knows no bounds.

The ghosts of my Grandmother and Mother are walking with Joe. It is so obvious that it is truly ridiculous to not say so. If Joe gets into office he won't last 6 months. The dems will pull out good old #25 and have him removed. Or maybe he will somehow be exposed to covid and let nature take its course. Kamala was ranked more liberal than Bernie. Let that sink in a moment. She will be elevated and we will be doomed. If they think they can demand we all wear a mask what else is up their sleeve? She is not a democrat. She is a wild eyed progressive and is this what a traditional democrat wants in office? Trump is the only one standing between us and total chaos. Hopefully true progressives will not vote for Joe, they will sit this one out. And hopefully traditional democrats will see the canard before them and realize Trump is the only true choice or not vote for Joe. The dems and the msm is trying to pull off a bait and switch. Pay attention. We know the baggage problems Joe and Kamala carry about them as people. Time to laser in on the policies they have supported and will support and will push onto our backs. Time to attack.

All the concerns mentioned herein are valid. But IMO, one which overwhelms by its seriousness is the fact that someone like Kamala Harris could be handed the keys of government. This woman, rejected by 99.9% of Democrats in New Hampshire is spectacularly unqualified and yet dangerous. She has far more in common with members of the Squad than the color of her skin. Those genuinely on the fence should reflect and give pause.

Re#6 I dont think that the keys to the government will be JUST handed to Heels Up Kamala. The deep state and her DNC handlers and leftwing contributors will be very much in control. They know that Kamala isn't presidential material. She's on the ticket solely to pander to women and minorities. Which is funny, because she never got more than 2% of the vote in any primary.

This is one of the reasons the left will keep the covid scamdemic going until after the election. Fear of the malevolent virus actively seeking victims gives them an excuse to keep Groping Joe sequestered in his basement where his dementia can be more easily hidden.

The article talks about the stress and unpredictability for a NORMAL person. Running for president and being president are far from normal stresses, vastly increased stress. As noted, the higher the stress, the worse the impact of the disease. The patient becomes overwhelmed and becomes dysfunctional. It's bad enough that the dems are playing a game offering up a cardboard cutout, good ole Joe as a candidate. The dems are desperate enough and lacking in ethics enough that this is not surprising. The REAL problem is the idea of Joe being president in this condition. The country would effectively be headless. A crisis would completely shut him down. Foisting this on the American People is a criminal act and that is exactly what the dems are willing to do.

first, this is pulitzer quality commentary, from back when the Pulitzer had integrity. Second, the writer captures the essence of dementia, better than a textbook devoted to the subject, that I read, to help the wife and children of my late best friend, who died from the disease nearly four years ago. i have learned that each afflicted dementia patient behaves differently, but they are all on the downslope of existence. and their strange behavior seems to match up with their history. If they were antagonistic during their non-dementia life, they will be increasingly antagonist. If they were passive-aggressive, the same thing happens. If they were pleasant, they remain so. Biden, during actual 'meet and greet' campaign events, snapped at a man that the man was 'full of sh*t.' And Biden called a woman a 'dog faced pony soldier' which apparently was a way to call her a liar. I will give no credit to Jill, however. she is pushing a sick man into his demise. the only kind thing about that is that he will have no idea what happened to him.

dr jill certainly wants to get her inauguration gown into the Smithsonian.

Everyone's memory diminishes with age. Some people earlier than others. Getting old has it's issues- to put it mildly. The human body is designed to degenerate over time, and eventually die. I believe that Biden is in some stage of dementia, because he is presenting more than just memory loss. He is confused. He mutters and rambles in his speech when he should be focused (performing), and reacts emotionally to things that should not elicit that reaction.

This is right on the money. Even to the description of “sundowning” that comes late in the afternoon-early evening. The aphasia suffered by those in dementia is progressive aphasia (downhill all the way) as opposed to the expressive aphasia that can result from a stroke. The latter can be mitigated to a great extent with expert speech therapy, practice and a lot of work. The ability to read does not necessarily go away (as it does in progressive aphasia) but can be restored as new pathways in the brain are developed. We have personal experience in stroke-related expressive aphasia and have known someone who went into dementia-related progressive aphasia at a relatively young age. Joe already shows a great deal of confusion. He reads everything, and so far has been able to pretty well manage swinging his head from teleprompter to teleprompter when he gives a speech. Much of the speech language is simple political boilerplate, the stuff he’s been spouting for decades, so he’s not apt to get too lost. But at some point he won’t understand written language and teleprompters will become foreign objects that he cannot even name. His gushing over Kamala at the great reveal was as much relief as anything. Someone who could do the talking. We’ll see much more of that. If they could figure out a way to have her replace him in debates, they’d do it. Read the article. Useful for anyone with an older family member - or for those who have concerns about their mates.

I feel sorry for him. We went through this with my mother-in-law and it was heart breaking. Has the Democrat party no shame? No heart? It's cruel to put Biden through this and even more cruel - and dishonest - to put the United States through it too.

We went through this with my grandmother and her sister. Both of them forgot who family members were. My great aunt became extremely paranoid and hallucinating, both sights and sounds. She was sure a man was camping under her house and was constantly calling the police to come out. A few years before she died, I picked up my grandmother from her adult foster care facility to bring her to Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom and Dad's house with the rest of the family. She kept asking who we were and accused us of kidnapping her. We never did it again because it was too traumatic for her. I see the same lost look and strange behavior in Biden.
