The China Conundrum is

The last few months or so have been perhaps the worst that the U.S.-China relationship has seen in generations. In just the past few weeks, several incidents have occurred including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo calling out the dangers of authoritarian China in his address to the Slovenian people regarding 5G technology, and the Chinese military conducting reactionary drills around East Asia in the aftermath of America sending aircraft carrier groups to the South China Sea to perform dual-carrier exercises in July.

China owns $1T in U.S. debt, a fact they love to wave around as propaganda. The U.S. pays $70M per day on that debt. Now here's what most people don't know - the U.S. owns $1.6T in Chinese Communist Party debt for which they never pay us one dime, in stark contrast to their lesser UK debt they pay against. Monday morning the U.S. could simply tell China we're doing a "debt swap" and erase our liability, and poof, it's gone. At any moment we can put the Chinese Communist Party economy into a flat spin from which they cannot recover. You can't make war without money, and they can't even feed their own people without importing food from all over the world. The current CCP leadership has put China into a dangerous corner from which they can't easily escape. Thank God our POTUS is unafraid to take on "the dragon"... In fact President Trump is our modern incarnation of Saint George. If POTUS can draw Iran into an agreement to abandon China (he hinted at it last week), and can put more pressure on Pakistan to do the same then China's soft underbelly is totally exposed and they're strategically surrounded by U.S. Allies all over the region. North Korea is a wild card right now, but could be one more avenue to put pressure on the CCP to be dissolved. We may be on the brink of the fall of the Bamboo Curtain.

There was a fascinating interview with Soviet KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov in 1984 in which he foretold in unerring detail the exact social and political scenarios that would exist in America in the near future. His contention was that the KGB was involved primarily not in espionage, but in an activity that he called "ideological subversion." According to Bezmenov, the KGB's goal was to take down America by slowly changing the minds of the population from within. He said the Soviet Union was producing Marxist-Leninist thoughts that are "being pumped into the heads of American students without [those thoughts] being counterbalanced by American/capitalistic values."

The poll released Thursday by Canadian polling firm Leger surveyed over 1,000 registered U.S. voters who listed the candidates as their top choices for GOP and Democratic nominations. Neither of the current candidates, President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, were listed as choices.

Not only President Donald Trump, but millions of people are witnessing, experiencing, and complaining about the left wing political bias and tilt of Big Tech, which has appropriately been called Big Tech Tyranny. In recent days, President Trump has targeted two of the highest profile and most successful Big Tech social media apps – TikTok and WeChat – both of them owned by companies in Communist China. TikTok, popular with smart phone users under 25, has 100 million users in the U.S. Since its introduction in app stores less than three years ago, TikTok has been one of the most downloaded apps on smart phones.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order that would encourage the production of certain drugs and medical supplies in the U.S. following shortages during the Covid-19 pandemic. The order urges purchasers to buy American-made products and loosens federal drug-safety and environmental regulations that the administration says disadvantage domestic producers, among other measures. “I want to lay out my vision to bring millions and millions more jobs and thousands more factories back to American shores, where they belong,” Trump said

Whatever was left of an in-person 2020 Democratic National Convention evaporated Wednesday as organizers announced Joe Biden won't be traveling to Milwaukee to give his presidential acceptance speech. And neither will any of the other speakers who will address the Aug. 17-20 convention. With the coronavirus pandemic paralyzing modern politics, Democrats will hold a virtual convention. Biden will accept the party's presidential nomination from his home state of Delaware.

We know where to watch in the next few weeks but have no real idea what we will be watching. Yet pundits, the media, and the Left seem giddy that their polls show a Trump slump, as if they have learned nothing and forgotten nothing from 2016. But in truth, the news cycle over the next three months may well favor Trump — a scenario his opponents no doubt deem preposterous in these dog days of August. 1. The virus. The coronavirus is like an out-of-control grass fire. It dies down only to flare up without much predictability — making fools of yesterday’s experts,

If Joe Biden is elected as president, he will work with the US allies to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, “which will include re-engaging Iran in a diplomatic solution,” said Aaron Keyak, who serves as the Biden campaign's director for Jewish engagement. Speaking at a webinar hosted by the Jewish Democratic Council of America, Keyak said that the diplomatic engagement is meant to ensure that the Islamic Republic returns to compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal and to “verifiably prevent a nuclear-armed Iran and find verifiable ways to ensure that it doesn't happen in the long-term.”

Trump campaign surrogates in Florida on Saturday attacked Rep. Karen Bass, a potential running mate of Democrat Joseph R. Biden, as a communist sympathizer who would try to bring the U.S. closer to the socialist governments of Cuba and Venezuela. “If God forbid Joe Biden is elected president and Congresswoman Bass becomes vice president, she will be the highest-ranking Castro sympathizer in the history of the United States government,” said Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican. “I don’t believe in the last six decades that there has ever been anyone considered for the vice presidency … with this level of sympathy towards a Marxist regime.”

Senator Mitt Romney, R-Utah, offered rare Republican criticism of the Trump administration’s coronavirus response on Friday, saying the federal government dismissed the virus’s threat and failed to protect Americans as infections spiralled out of control. “Short term, I think it’s fair to say we really have not distinguished ourselves in a positive way by how we responded to the crisis when it was upon us,” Mr Romney said in a video interview with the Sutherland Institute. “And the proof of the pudding of that is simply that we have 5 per cent of the world’s population but 25 per cent of the world’s deaths due to Covid-19.

More Americans approve than disapprove of Joe Biden's choice of Sen. Kamala Harris for the 2020 Democratic ticket by a 25-point margin, 54-29%, in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll. Approval of the pick ranges from 86-8% among Democrats to 25-55% among Republicans -- notable that one in four Republicans approves. It's 52-29% among independents, potential swing voters in presidential elections. While reaction to Harris is broadly positive, the margin narrows among those who have strong opinions. Thirty-four percent of Americans strongly approve of her selection, while 22% strongly disapprove, a 12-point margin. One reason is that her strong support

The NFL is on the verge of precipitous decline due to a weakening of the three legs of the stool upon which the league's empire sits: attendance, viewership, and revenue. All of these items are interrelated. All three are being eroded. Taken together, it is likely that the NFL has reached its high water mark and instead of expanding, as it dreams, the league will instead diminish in importance from here on out. As to the underlying causes for the NFL's problems, start with the most glaring: the Wuhan virus.

ROME—Father Jeremy Leatherby of Sacramento, California, surely knew what was coming when he continued to preach to the faithful that Pope Benedict XVI, who retired in 2013, is still the one true pope. Since the election upon Benedict’s retirement of Jorge Bergoglio, now Pope Francis, Leatherby has shunned the new pontiff and continued to only refer to Benedict as the church’s true leader in mass. Last week, after several warnings, he was charged with schism, defrocked and excommunicated from the Catholic Church. “I continue to regard Benedict as retaining the Office of Peter, as mysterious as that might be,” he wrote in an open letter

It appeared to be a parent picking up their kid from a “pandemic pod,” which, if you’re not familiar, is a small cluster of families who pool resources to hire a private tutor, who may be a parent. These pods are very popular among my neighbors in the Bay Area of California. Nearby I could see a YMCA, which provides child care and after-school programming. It had shut down due to COVID-19. Far left “community groups” with backing from city officials and police are distributing flyers which reads “save a life, turn in a gun
