With the latest poll in Iowa showing President Trump with a commanding 51/14 lead over Ron DeSantis, the people in control of the DeSantis operation are now lowering the bar to say a second-place finish is good enough to continue. Trying to take advantage of the Banana Republic Prosecutions is not a good look. Ron should have stayed home supported Trump and opposed the Dim Bananas and their tinpot dictator shenanigans. That would have been the large look.

OP is right. President Trump is a natural and always looks at ease. DeSantis looks like the Tin Man.

For the most part, I believe Floridians love Gov. DeSantis and the work he has done... but I agree with Reply 1. It is dismaying that he is fighting President Trump, who has been right on so many things... in fact nearly everything! It seems like our 'parents' are quarreling and it feels bad. We need concentration on stopping the election fraud, removing the Deep State, and undoing all the evil that the Biden-Obama administration has foisted on the USA.

I agree with those who say DeSantis has done a great job in Fla. Unfortunately he began to believe his own press and fell under the spell of the GOPe and their siren call and anti-Trump money. I personally don't believe this is a good look for him and his character. He really should have waited until 2028 and he likely would have been a shoe-in.

Biden Knows He Is Using Illegal Immigrants

In the Biden White House, illegal immigration is simply politics: The politics of broader electoral viability, the politics of future voting demographics, the politics of appeasing the base, and most recently, the politics of retribution. This latest phase entered the scene this week, with the administration’s reported plan to force the millions of illegal immigrants streaming over the border to remain in Texas. But the politics goes back to the beginning when the former vice president was sharing a debate stage with the next generation of Democrat leaders. His old boss had put a boil under the long-simmering issue with his extra-congressional amnesty for “dreamers.” President Barack Obama empowered radical

A federal appeals court in New Orleans ruled on Friday that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) had overstepped its authority in their ruling that three doctors will be able to move forward with their lawsuit over the use of ivermectin off-label to treat COVID-19. Dr. Mary Talley Bowden, one of three doctors who initially filed the charges, trumpeted the ruling as a victory for not only the truth, but patient rights. “The FDA misled the public into thinking it has more authority than it does,” Dr. Bowden,(snip) “This decision confirms that the FDA is not your doctor and has no authority to tell doctors how to practice medicine.”

A woman has filed a lawsuit against a Virginia school district alleging its clandestine support of her daughter’s decision to change her gender identity resulted in her being threatened, bullied, and ultimately trafficked by sexual predators. Michele Blair, biological grandmother and adoptive mother of 16-year-old Sage Blair, alleges in the lawsuit (pdf) filed in August that staff at the Appomattox County High School directed Sage—who has a history of mental health issues and early childhood trauma—to change her name and pronouns and to use the boys' bathroom, all the while keeping it a secret from Mrs. Blair.

It's not hard to understand why so many Republicans admire Ronald Reagan. "The Great Communicator" sparked a conservative revival that fractured the remnants of the left-wing New Deal coalition. As president, he helped end the Soviet Union, winning the Cold War. Forty-three years after the Reagan Revolution, and eight years after former President Donald J. Trump changed the game again, none of the Republicans who convened for the first presidential primary debate on Aug. 23 repudiated President Reagan. Even President Trump cited a move by President Reagan as precedent for his decision to skip the debate.

In August 1966, communist leader Mao Zedong commenced “Red August,” a campaign amidst the wider Cultural Revolution to wipe away the “Four Olds” of Chinese society: old ideas, old culture, old customs, and old habits. He infamously used university students, and other younger children, as foot soldiers to carry out mass beatings and destroy important cultural and historical institutions. The outsized rule of juveniles and young adults in the subsequent massacres perpetrated by the Red Guards was not at all unique. (snip)The American Left has ensured that children occupy an increasingly active role in our country’s political and culture wars. The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive. Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents. Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.
