Mayor Adams warned Saturday that all New York City agencies may have to slash up to 15% from their budgets by the spring in response to the ever-rocketing costs of the migrant crisis. All departments were told they will need to slash 5% from their budget by November, amounting to a several billion dollar haircut from the city-funded portion of Adams’ $107 billion spending plan. But if the city doesn’t get enough financial aid from the Biden administration or state legislators by early next year, Adams warned additional 5% cuts could come in both January and April. “The simple truth is that longtime New Yorkers and asylum seekers will feel

Has Biden EVER explained his immigration policies? WHY are we taking in so many? And didn't he tell us this wouldn't cost us a dime? It is NOT humanitarian to destroy your own home to help your neighbor.

Why not just tax the rich some more? Make them pay their fair share! Or perhaps AOC can convince Amazon to relocate to NYC for that extra tax revenue. /S/ You might not be in this situation had ya not put these people up in 600$ per night hotels. The fact is, that every demicrat decision regarding illegal immigration, border security, sanctuary status, lavish benefits, law enforcement, tax and spend policies have led to this entirely predictable predicament. Its not like we didn't warn ya'll. But what's sad, is that in 14 months, New York will elect or re-elect Democrats in every single one of the statewide races. With fewer Republicans being elected, because their supporters have relocated south of the Mason Dixon line. So......enjoy the suck. It's just hilarious that New York and it's voters are incapable and unwilling to do what's necessary to turn things around.

$1.5 Billion divided by 110,000 is over $13,500 each. Not including the NYC cost per student of $31,500. Each of these people was "sent there" because they had a "Sponsoring Family/organization" that signed on a dotted line. Dems all poo-poohed the Repubs mention of "Public Charge" laws/rulings/enforcement...every NYC Democrat pushed for all of these people to be brought in, and blocked any and every effort to stop them, enforce actual existing Laws

Hey!! Captain America, Eric Adams --- you got yourself and the people of NYC into this quagmire and it's up to you to get them out so, put on your $1500.00 big boy trousers and start acting like a "Mayor" of a big city instead of a community activist trying to get the people to believe something they know is false, which makes them feel like they're being "played" once again by a devious and unscrupulous "Mayor" ie" does the name Deblasio strike a note of familiarity?

Notice that Adam’s is silent on the removal of the migrants (illegal aliens) from the USA in accordance with the US immigration laws. Instead it is evident he would be pleased as punch if Biden and the leftist and socialist Democrats in DC who caused the so-called migrant (illegal alien) crisis by encouraging and inviting the crisis by ignoring the US Immigration laws from the get-go during the Obama era and the 2020 Democrat primaries, would simply appropriate and send him untold billions of federal dollars for use supposedly to hand out as welfare benefits to the migrants (illegal aliens) and the leftist and socialist Democrat aligned nongovernmental organizations that claim they are caring for the migrants (illegal aliens) in New York City. Now it is also being reported that Biden and the leftist and socialist Democrats want to assist the ever growing migrant (illegal alien) population to become employed in American jobs, an unlawful political policy that will surely diminish the wages of competing American workers, and will no doubt encourage and invite more mass uncontrolled illegal immigration on into the future.

Years ago, NYC issued an open invitation to anyone who claims to need "sanctuary." As long as NYC maintains that designation, it's not serious about correcting the mal-distribution of resources away from its own citizens, and to new, illegal arrivals. It's a choice, and thus far corrupt liberal politicians are unwilling to clean up after themselves. The unpleasant consequences belong to everyone OK with putting illegal aliens and their wants ahead of the needs and rights of US citizens. Wealth redistribution is the inevitable result of mass illegal immigration. Dems and some RINOs are tired of trying and failing to persuade Americans to go along with global government ending American sovereignty. So they're openly trying to dilute the American population with impoverished, uneducated new arrivals with voting rights (AKA citizenship) to end their obligation to serve the American people. Not the kind of "leadership" that leads to freedom, but one designed to snatch it away before the abused and confused population can catch its breath.

Not wasting any tears over this city, but how can 110K more people cause a 15% hit to the budget? Those hotels must be real expensive. Someone should ask the mayor just how long the taxpayers are going to support these people. What is the plan? (Hint: There isn't one.)

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump want a new judge in his 2020 election interference case. In a filing Monday, they argued that Judge Tanya Chutkan should recuse herself from the case for previous statements they say give the appearance of bias. They did not outright accuse Chutkan of being biased against Trump, but highlighted statements they claimed "create a perception of prejudgment incompatible with our justice system." "Judge Chutkan has, in connection with other cases, suggested that President Trump should be prosecuted and imprisoned. Such statements, made before this case began and without due process, are inherently disqualifying,"

Jacques Jiha, the budget director for Mayor Eric Adams’s administration, told the city’s police, fire, corrections, and sanitations departments in a Saturday memo to each submit an overtime pay reduction plan “to reduce year-to-year OT spending.” He also wrote the four departments must submit monthly reports “to track overtime spending and their progress in meeting the reduction target” once Adams issues the order.

As RedState reported, Gov. Glenn Youngkin pardoned Scott Smith, who was arrested for disorderly conduct after challenging a school board for covering up the rape of his daughter. In one of the biggest stories of 2021 and one that likely helped sweep Republicans into power in Virginia, Smith's daughter was raped in the girl's bathroom by a boy wearing a skirt. The Loudoun County school board, which had been pushing a then-new rule allowing "transgender" students to use the bathroom of their choice, sought to cover up the rape at multiple levels. Those motivations were confirmed by a grand jury report which revealed officials ignored multiple warning signs

The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive. Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents. Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.
