Massachusetts Mayor Sounds Alarm on Migrant
Crisis, Urges Lawmakers to Reform ‘Right-to-Shelter’ Law

Original Article

The Democratic mayor of a small Massachusetts city is urging state lawmakers to reform a 40-year-old “right-to-shelter” law that is putting immense strain on the area as thousands of migrant families arrive. Woburn mayor Scott Galvin said by Friday there were about 150 families living in the city’s hotels, an arrangement he called unsustainable for his 40,000 constituents. Under the 1983 right-to-shelter law, Massachusetts officials are legally required to offer housing to any homeless families seeking shelter in the state. The law now covers a rising influx of migrant families, although individuals are not covered under its provisions.

these people are not "citizens" of the United States and have no legal right to be here so, why are they afforded all the rights a legitimate citizen has?? Thank You, demcommie legislators in the past who formulated, legislated and passed these "laws" into enactment, to further burden the legitimate citizens of this state and the whole country for that matter, You have done irreparable harm to the fabric of our nation.

As others have noted, these Democrat mayors never propose sending the illegals back to their country of origin. It's all a ploy to put illegals in every city in the United States. All will be registered to vote and will be doing so my mail ballot. They will vote straight Democrat. From President all the way down to dog catcher. What they are doing is human trafficking which is illegal. The illegals at some point will realize the joke is on them and realize they are being used and nobody in this country will help them. They should never have come here.

“As of last week, nearly 6,300 families are living in emergency shelters and hotels across the state, up about 50 percent from the year prior. Additionally, the cost for such accommodations is approximately $45 million per month.” Don’t understand why Massachusetts residents aren’t delighted to get what they voted for in 2020. This ultra liberal state voted overwhelmingly for Biden, and he is fulfilling his promise to undo our immigration laws. When the 2024 election is held, this deep blue state will once again for Biden despite the multiple costs of Biden’s anti-American policies. All hail, FJB,

From Wikipedia: Biden easily carried Massachusetts with a 33-point margin, the largest margin whereby any nominee had carried the state since Lyndon B. Johnson's 1964 landslide. Massachusetts was one of three states where Biden won every county, the other two being Rhode Island and Hawaii.

Now that I know that MA has a Right to Shelter law, I understand why the good liberals of Martha's Vineyard sent the illegals off the island so fast. Every Hotel and rental house on the island would have been obligated to give the illegals shelter if they had not kicked them off the island.

Cities and States that passed laws or ordinances that encourage and invite foreign migrants, who are illegal aliens under the U.S. immigration laws, to come into their cities and states to seek benefits and services provided by those city and state laws and ordinances should be required to pay all the expenses for any and all illegal aliens who show up within those jurisdiction and seek benefits and services in those cities and states.

You think it's unsustainable now? Give it time. The world still has billions of uneducated people of low morals, low self-esteem, low-bar parasites who are more than willing to fill up every spare room of your homes and are ready to eat every spare crumb in your kitchen. All they have to do is find transportation to the Mexican border. Feeling stupid and exploited? You should be. The hilarious side to this whole situation is that people are leaving the blue states in hordes and moving to the red states. What does that mean to you? Have you made the connection yet?

Baker, the former FBI general counsel under Director James Comey, played a pivotal role in Twitter’s decision in October 2020 to suppress the distribution of the Hunter Biden laptop story written by the New York Post. After purchasing Twitter in October 2022, Musk made good on a promise to open the company’s books to select journalists, providing damning internal communications and files to Weiss and former Rolling Stone journalist Matt Taibbi.
