New York Attorney General Letitia James is seeking an immediate partial summary judgment in her multimillion-dollar civil lawsuit against former President Donald Trump, court documents show.
Documents dated Aug. 30 show Ms. James urged Judge Arthur Engoron to issue a summary judgment on one of seven claims in her 200-page civil lawsuit filed against President Trump, the Trump Organization, and three of his adult children in 2022, alleging "years of financial fraud to obtain a host of economic benefits."

A woman has filed a lawsuit against a Virginia school district alleging its clandestine support of her daughter’s decision to change her gender identity resulted in her being threatened, bullied, and ultimately trafficked by sexual predators.
Michele Blair, biological grandmother and adoptive mother of 16-year-old Sage Blair, alleges in the lawsuit (pdf) filed in August that staff at the Appomattox County High School directed Sage—who has a history of mental health issues and early childhood trauma—to change her name and pronouns and to use the boys' bathroom, all the while keeping it a secret from Mrs. Blair.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) released an urgent consumer notification that Citgo fuel services from the Port of Tampa accidentally mixed Diesel Fuel into gasoline tanker trucks that offloaded product at gas pumps in Tampa, Fort Myers, Cape Coral and other areas. [FDACS Notice HERE]
Customers who purchased Citgo gas at the affected areas after August 26th are at risk. Those fuel stations pumped diesel instead of unleaded gasoline. (Image - List)

Forecast updates provide a mix of good and bad news. [National Hurricane Center] On the good side, Idalia looks like she will be fast in forward movement as she arrives in Florida. On the bad side of the updates Idalia will be bigger, stronger, and the faster forward movement means the hurricane will be felt further inland potentially into southern Georgia. All advance preparations should be moved to completion within the next 48 hours.
Remember, you are in control. There is no need for panic or dark imaginings. Calm, prudent preparations should be taken if you are in the zone of uncertainty.

It's not hard to understand why so many Republicans admire Ronald Reagan.
"The Great Communicator" sparked a conservative revival that fractured the remnants of the left-wing New Deal coalition. As president, he helped end the Soviet Union, winning the Cold War.
Forty-three years after the Reagan Revolution, and eight years after former President Donald J. Trump changed the game again, none of the Republicans who convened for the first presidential primary debate on Aug. 23 repudiated President Reagan. Even President Trump cited a move by President Reagan as precedent for his decision to skip the debate.

Steve Bannon did an excellent monologue today outlining how President Donald Trump is one of only three people who have the destiny of the nation attached to their own destiny. {Direct Rumble Link}
Together with President Abraham Lincoln and President George Washington, the destiny of our constitutional Republic as intrinsically tied to President Donald Trump.Brenden Dilly has an excellent encapsulation also:
“The streets have never had a President. They’ve never had someone they could relate to, at least on some level, about a particular struggle or unjust circumstance…
Until last night. Last night, the streets were given a champion. They were given someone who they could see being set up, railroaded, arrested, and

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has defended a Soros scholarship he accepted, claiming it came at a time when he “didn’t have the money” to pay for Yale Law School. But there is one problem with that argument. According to reports, the entrepreneur was already a multi-millionaire when he took it.
"There was a separate scholarship that I won at the age of 24-25, when I was going to law school in my mid-20s, in my early 20s, when I didn't have the money and it was a merit scholarship that hundreds of kids win, that was partially funded, not by George Soros, but by Paul Soros a relative,

In August 1966, communist leader Mao Zedong commenced “Red August,” a campaign amidst the wider Cultural Revolution to wipe away the “Four Olds” of Chinese society: old ideas, old culture, old customs, and old habits. He infamously used university students, and other younger children, as foot soldiers to carry out mass beatings and destroy important cultural and historical institutions.
The outsized rule of juveniles and young adults in the subsequent massacres perpetrated by the Red Guards was not at all unique. (snip)The American Left has ensured that children occupy an increasingly active role in our country’s political and culture wars. Childhood no longer exists outside the realm of conflicts between adults.

As flames tore through a West Maui neighborhood, car after car of fleeing residents headed for the only paved road out of town in a desperate race for safety.
And car after car was turned back toward the rapidly spreading wildfire by a barricade blocking access to Highway 30.
One family swerved around the barricade and was safe in a nearby town 48 minutes later, another drove their four-wheel-drive car down a dirt road to escape. One man took a dirt road uphill, climbing above the fire and watching as Lahaina burned. He later picked his way through the flames, smoke and rubble to pull survivors to safety.

Constitutional lawyer Dr. John Eastman Esq is one of the nineteen co-defendants in the malicious lawsuit brought by Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis. Eastman appeared in Atlanta, Ga, today to turn himself in and assert his innocence.
Dr. Eastman gave direct, deliberate and non-pretending remarks to the assembled press pool at the courthouse, and when asked if he still believes the 2020 election was stolen, Dr. Eastman replied, “absolutely, no question, no question in my mind.” Dr. Eastman is looking forward to presenting evidence that will exonerate all the defendants in the case. At least seven prosecutors in the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office reportedly donated to Democrats during the Hunter Biden probe, raising concerns of partisanship and preferential treatment.
As scrutiny mounts on Special Counsel David Weiss, who serves as U.S. Attorney for Delaware and agreed to a sweetheart plea deal with Hunter Biden after five years of investigation, a Washington Examiner analysis found that at least seven prosecutors in Weiss’s office donated to Democrats.
Not one prosecutor donated to a Republican, the analysis revealed.
The partisan donations come as many within the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office appear to have deep ties to the Bidens.
