There has been a huge influx of blue state people to red states in the past three years.
This is a good thing because the Democrat voters, the blues, see what is happening in their own states and want nothing more to do with it.
There is only one problem: do blue-staters know why their blue states are failing? They may only be seeing the results of the failures such as high taxes, high crime, authoritarian shutdowns, masking, education pathologies, high gas prices, empty shelves, welfare hounds, and business-unfriendly policies that cause small business closures. But the causes are liberal policies and liberal politicians. Do blue-staters make that connection?

The far-left abortion activist group Ruth Sent Us says it's main TikTok account, which at one point had more than 20,000 followers, had been "permanently banned" from the platform.
The TikTok page belonging to the group, which has led demonstrations and protests at churches and Supreme Court justices' homes, is no longer active, but a similar account referred to as a "backup" under the handle "RuthSentU" announced the ban of the main page.
"Your account permanently banned due to multiple violations of our Community Guidelines," a screenshot posted Saturday by the "backup" account of Ruth Sent Us TikTok account states.

HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher smacked Democrats on Friday during his show for moving away from their former position of “safe, legal, and rare” on abortion and attempting to ditch the label “pro-choice” for the more graphic term “pro-abortion.”Maher cited the Clinton-era leftist abortion mantra of “safe, legal, and rare,” arguing “that’s not where the Democrats are now” and that they “don’t say that anymore.” He then proceeded to blast the pro-choice caucus in the House, suggesting they change “choice” to “decision” and potentially use “pro-abortion” instead. He flatly stated that “No one should be pro-abortion.”

Pulitzer Prize and Peabody Award winning journalist Laurie Garrett gave a refreshingly honest and clear-eyed assessment of the usefulness of masks in fighting coronavirus pandemics. Unfortunately, her assessment, given as the Keynote Address at the National Academy of Medicine in December 2018, was given prior to the Covid-19 outbreak. The image of what looks to be a symmetrical, hand-hewn Martian portal, captured May 7 by NASA’s Curiosity rover, has ignited a cosmic array of speculation, conspiracy theories and dreams of intelligent life on the red planet.
“If you zoom in all the way you can see Matt Damon crouching inside the doorway,” noted one wise guy on Reddit. We haven’t written much about Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing, which is one of the evils of our time. Basically, it seeks to force publicly-traded companies to take left-wing policy positions. Perhaps the number one force behind ESG has been BlackRock, Inc., the world’s largest asset manager with $10 trillion under management.
Given BlackRock’s prominence in the ESG movement, this headline couldn’t be more welcome: BlackRock ditches green activism over Russia energy fears.
BlackRock has warned it will vote against most shareholder green activism this year for being too extreme, in a significant u-turn by the world’s biggest money manager.

Our increasingly ugly inflation problem is a perfect illustration of the Biden administration’s uncanny ability to get everything everywhere wrong all at once. The Biden administration’s first response to any problem is to pretend that it isn’t a problem. That’s how inflation went from a minor problem to a major one. Unwilling to take the necessary steps to rein in inflation early — pushing the Fed to raise interest rates and slowing down the torrent of money going out the Treasury’s doors — Biden and congressional Democrats at first insisted that inflation wasn’t a real problem: “Transitory,” they called it.

The illogical leftist mind contradicts its own ideas without a care for their destructive nature. On the one hand, the greenies want everyone to eat a plant-based diet because meat and milk from animals are evil. On the other hand, they want to eliminate commercial fertilizers and return completely to "organic" agriculture. See any problems with these two disparate goals?
Fertilizer shortages are making news these days, and not just here in the USA. Of course, the shortage is being blamed on our catch-all, ubiquitous "supply chain" issues and Putin, especially since many of these products are made of components from overseas.

Truly, nothing surprises me anymore. Perhaps having an 82-year-old as the House Majority Leader isn’t that good of an idea? I’d like to think that someone with more cognitive capacity would at least couch their words instead of just blurting

Since Joe Biden's inauguration, the Biden administration has on a consistent basis breached uncharted territory with its display of incompetence, its absolute disregard for values that the nation was founded upon, and its tendency toward totalitarianism.
The inflation rate hit a fresh 40-year high, making essential commodities unaffordable for regular citizens.
For those who can afford these commodities, the supply chain crisis has ensured that there is a shortage of items such as baby formula.
Biden's open border has caused an influx of illegal aliens, which has contributed to the crime wave. Smuggling of illicit fentanyl into the U.S. is also at an all-time high due to the unguarded border,

We wrote last November that MIT, our alma mater, “has caved repeatedly to the demands of ‘wokeness’, treating its students unfairly, compromising the quality of its staff, and damaging the institution and academic freedom at large.” (Snip)
For the last two years—partly due to the pandemic but also to achieve more equity in admissions—MIT dispensed with the requirement that applicants take the standardized SAT or ACT exams. However, without the benefit of applicant screening, many minority students admitted on the basis of grades and recommendations alone were underperforming in their coursework. As a result, MIT recently became the first prominent university to reinstate the requirement that applicants submit SAT

The rhetoric from various Democrats last week regarding the leaked draft of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s purported majority opinion regarding the potential landmark case of Dobbs V Jackson was predictable. Democrats called those voting in the majority ‘radicals,’ and they lamented the demise of Roe V Wade. They also claimed that their position on abortion was aligned with most Americans: it’s not. In fact, it’s not even close. But this week, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Senate Majority Leader – for now – couldn’t help himself, as he insisted on enshrining that disconnect for the ages.

Victor Davis Hanson is one of the most respected historian/intellectuals of the conservative movement; I have been an enthusiast of his work going back to my first experience with his erudition and eloquence—The Western Way of War (1989, 2nd ed. 2000), an explanation of why citizen soldiers are so effective and why Western Armies have been so lethal. Now he is past 24 books and hundreds if not thousands of essays as well as appearances regularly on TV that all provide sober, thought-provoking and insightful political commentary. Any observer of VDH cannot help but be impressed with his solid and thoughtful analysis of political and social

The establishment Left seems determined to tar its opponents as “terrorists.” There’s the Jan. 6 Committee, which continues to investigate what the Democrats insist was an “insurrection,” despite a complete lack of evidence. There’s the repeated claim (that Biden, Garland, and Christopher Wray, among others, have repeated) that “white supremacists,” by which is meant “Trump supporters,” are the nation’s biggest terror threat. And now a former FBI counterintelligence official has gone the whole way and likened Trump supporters to “violent jihadists.”

When news of the baby formula shortage first became widely known, one of the main causes, we were told, was that Abbott, the company that manufactures the formula, had put tainted formula onto the marketplace, killing two infants, and forcing the FDA to shut down its plant. And indeed, that’s exactly what Jen Psaki blamed during her final White House press conference before heading to MSNBC. Abbott, however, pushed back hard, with facts supporting something Psaki knew or should have known: a federal investigation has shown it’s innocent of the charge.
There are multiple reasons that there is a baby formula shortage in America.

Harvard Law professor emeritus Laurence Tribe said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump could face criminal prosecution for espionage while discussing reports that the Department of Justice is investigating Trump’s handling of classified material.
Tribe said, “When we find all of this apparent top secret information finding his way to unsecured boxes to Mar-a-Lago, it’s very encouraging that the Department of Justice isn’t simply asking who packed the boxes, but what did the president then of the United States on his way out of the Oval Office have in mind in taking that information? Did he do anything with it?

Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt lashed out at conservative pundit Meghan McCain after her new book posted sales numbers so abysmal that they were downright embarrassing, taking great pleasure in calling her out as a “spoiled rotten, entitled bully” in mean-spirited remarks that had many who would not normally be inclined to do so, taking up sides with the daughter of deceased GOP Senator John McCain.Schmidt, who was a top strategist for the longtime Arizona senator during his doomed 2008 White House bid would go on to hook up with a gaggle of likeminded political grifters to form the anti-Trump PAC that drew rave reviews from the media and liberals

Melania Trump has described the shortage of baby formula nationwide as 'heartbreaking' - using her first interview since leaving the White House to say the crisis was down to 'leadership'. The former first lady sat down with Fox News's Pete Hegseth for an interview to be aired in full on Sunday. In a clip released on Friday night, Hegseth asked for her views on the baby formula problem. 'It's heartbreaking to see that they are struggling and the food is not available for children in 21st century in the United States of America,' she said.Asked what was causing the shortages, took aim at Joe Biden's administration and replied: 'Leadership.'

Special Counsel John Durham appears to have methodically built a case of historic consequence. It’s just not the case he has brought against bigshot Democratic Party lawyer Michael Sussmann.Jury selection begins in Sussmann’s trial on Monday, in Washington, DC. It will be the first trial to arise out of the Russiagate probe, which began over three years ago. That’s when former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr assigned Durham, a longtime Justice Department prosecutor from Connecticut, to investigate how, in the middle of a heated presidential campaign and based upon scant evidence, the FBI came to suspect one of the candidates of being a clandestine agent of the Kremlin —

If we know anything about the Democrat Party and Joe Biden, it’s that Democrats gonna Democrat and Biden gonna Biden. We also know Democrats Democratting and Biden Bidening includes creating crises, and when the polls go south, blaming Republicans, billionaires, and evil corporations for them.
Case in point: The Biden Oil Crisis™, which was soon followed, of course, by Biden Gas Price Hikes™.
“Shockingly,” that’s not how Biden and the Democrats see it.
Nope, skyrocketing gas prices are the fault of oil-company “profiteering” — a favorite go-to bogeyman of Democrats. And laugh-out-loud ridiculous, Vladimir Putin, as in “Putin’s price hikes.”
So naturally, as gas prices across the country hit new record highs this week,

A new Donald Trump “scandal” dropped on Friday, and it may be the most asinine yet.
I don’t say that lightly. If this doesn’t top the list, it’s at least in the top five. And don’t get me wrong, there have been a lot of really dumb accusations made against Trump, but the level of purposeful obfuscation of context in this latest example is something to behold.
The setup is a report from the House’s select subcommittee dealing with the coronavirus crisis. According to the Associated Press, Democrats have decided that the former president is a really bad orange man for…pushing to keep meat processing facilities open during the pandemic.

They're out of control. These teachers are out of control. It's not just an American problem either. Our neighbors to the North are also dealing with some out-of-control educators. Since the COVID pandemic, it's been a steady stream of teachers wanting to make everyone gay, transgender, and everything in between. They're decorating their classrooms with far-left propaganda. The BLM, gay pride, trans pride, and other pride flags are being plastered everywhere.
There is nothing wrong with supporting these movements, even though it's all rooted in cultural marxism. People can support whatever they want; they think we're all terrorists for supporting gun rights.

With gas prices at record highs, billionaire John Catsimatidis, CEO of United Refining Co., said Americans should brace themselves for the prospect of shortages and rationing, particularly for diesel.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to see diesel being rationed on the East Coast this summer,” Catsimatidis told Bloomberg. “Right now, inventories are low and we may see a shortage in coming months.”
East Coast stockpiles of the fuel have fallen to the lowest in data going back to 1990. National inventories stand at the lowest in 17 years as the US has become the world’s diesel supplier of choice. Fuel markets have been in disarray since growing bans against Russian products

It’s an absolute delight to watch the Democrats go all-in on Hispanic voters and then, in the way one might expect from pasty ruling caste goofs, unwittingly do everything in their power to make Hispanic voters despise them. And the results are undeniable – Latinx voters not only hate being called “Latinx” but hate pretty much everything else that the Dems are doing. The faculty lounge set that sets the party’s agenda is utterly oblivious. They don’t know any Hispanics – except maybe ones they hire to work around the mansion – and the Dems have certainly never thought to ask Hispanic Americans what they want. Instead, the condescending commies

Democrats are insane. We know this, they can’t hide it. They’re also evil. They used to hide this, but can’t or won’t anymore. Whatever the case, the curtain has been pulled back. But unlike the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz, Democrats aren’t even bothering to try to close the curtain, they’re quite proud of it. Good for them, I guess, but better for the rest of us – we can see these people for who and what they are. It ain’t pretty.

Progressive activists have long fallen on the tactic of resorting to violence, destruction, and even bloodshed to get their points across. With the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on abortion, I feel assured they will once more pull this oft-used tool from their belt, and once again resort to carnage and mayhem. Already, they vandalized several Catholic churches last weekend, and firebombed a Right to Life group’s headquarters. A bullet was fired into the office of the Virginia Attorney General this week as well. Violence is already here. These were all pre-game activities as they warm up for what is to come. In reality however, members

How many different diagnoses is this for him now? At different times I’ve heard Parkinson’s, thyroid cancer, and forthcoming surgery for some unspecified form of cancer.
Cancer does seem to be a recurring theme, though.
Yesterday at New Lines, Michael Weiss wrote that he’s obtained audio recorded in March of an unnamed Russian oligarch who’s “close to the Kremlin” admitting that Putin is very ill. Notably, the source of the recording claims the oligarch didn’t know he was being recorded when he said it. There’s no shortage of reasons to be skeptical, though

A curious development — positive, but still curious. Ever since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Defense Secretary has tried to get Sergei Shoigu to pick up the phone, at least for the purposes of deconfliction. The Russian defense minister has refused to engage … until today.
Whatever could have changed?
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Friday spoke with his Russian counterpart, the first such conversation between the two officials since the Kremlin’s attack on Ukraine began in February, according to the Pentagon.
Austin spoke with Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu by phone

We’ve reported extensively on President Biden’s health woes and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s rumored cancer. Add another major world leader to the list of the afflicted, because several media outlets claim Chinese President Xi Jinping, 68, is suffering from a brain aneurysm. Making his life more difficult are rumors of a possible coup by rivals tired of the nation’s uber-strict, economy-killing COVID lockdowns. According to New Delhi-based ANI news service, Xi decided against surgery, instead choosing treatment involving traditional Chinese medicines that soften the blood vessels and shrink aneurysms.
