Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Saturday led a delegation of Republican lawmakers to Kyiv and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Video shared by Zelensky shows him greeting the GOP delegation on a street in Kyiv, which remains firmly in Ukrainian control nearly two months after Russia launched its invasion of the country. The video showed McConnell, who represents the state of Kentucky, and senators Susan Collins of Maine, John Barrasso of Wyoming and John Cornyn of Texas greeting Zelensky.(Snip)'I strongly support the next package of lethal military assistance, which the House has passed with an overwhelming bipartisan majority. I hope the Senate can reach an agreement

Those in-person jaunts to Kiev also allow our esteemed leaders to bring their cut of the action home in cash, so it's untraceable.

Pretending he is President.
Acting like a petty Walter Mitty jealous of other’s success in trying NOT to spend U.S. into economic oblivion

No! we're broke, inflation is skyrocketing, and shortages abound. The deep state doesn't care about the common American people.

I agree with all the above comments.
Can’t they even cook up a reason why the US would need to put nukes in Ukraine under the nato flag and why it would be good for the US? Surely they can think of something plausible. I guess they don’t even have to pretend it’s in the citizens’ best interest now that they have millions of “new” citizens pouring across the border- just “Putin bad” is enough.

There’s an upside for pushing a desperate Putin into carrying out his threat to turn the US into ashes if we continue to wage war against his invading army: we won’t have to off the debt we incurred for the $40 billion we’re sending this month. Or the $30 trillion in other federal debt obligations. To paraphrase Dire Straits, Money for nothing, the war is free.
Why isn’t McConnell at Eagle Pass, Texas, observing the Biden led invasion of the US? Or at the Abbot baby formula plant in Michigan and asking why Biden’s FDA shut it down?

That explains the poor attitude he displayed when Sen Paul blocked the 43 billion+ give away Bill. It ruined the chance to play Santa Mitch, showing up with a sack of cash.

Ukraine/Russia isn't even in the top 10 of Americans' concerns.
Nor is climate change. They are distractions to the grift and graft of politicians and their media.

It wouldn't bother me at all if Mitch and his crew would just stay in Ukraine. I'm getting tired of being bilked at every turn. I guess he needs to supplement his income from the Chinese. I think Mitch is at the point where he has made enough money. (quoting BHO)
He can stop sending me requests for donations; they go straight to the trash unopened anyway - as do the requests from McCarthy.

I have come to the conclusion that our own government doesn’t give one rip about the working people, so much so that they are now killing up. Diesel fuel is at an all time high and continuing to rise, which will add to the outrageous cost of food. Watch, they’ll start shipping food to Ukraine and the southern border just like the baby formula. There has never been an administration that despises the American people until bozo Biden’s.

OP, you are correct. He is also probably there in person to facilitate the transfer of “a large donation” to a numbered Swiss bank account in his name. Remember, Mitch believes Ukraine is the most important issue in the world right now and I am sure his support garnered him a hefty check. This is the world the political class moves in. You scratch my back and I will scratch yours.

Does anybody else get the feeling we are being teed up to run into the strong arms of a savior?
We will need to be especially vigilant to ensure that the shining white knight who finally rescues us from the present madness does not utterly enslave us with central bank digital currency to complement the panoption surveillance system.

That's our Mitch. Steal our money and risk involving us directly in a hot war that has nothing whatsoever to do with US national security at a time when our own border is open to all comers.
