It's pretty amazing when leftists have to live with the results of their own decisions. Deep-blue San Francisco's descent into violent crime and chaos following its voters' choices to elect officials on platforms to "defund the police" is Exhibit A. But for the political perpetrators of these imposed anti-police agendas, it doesn't usually happen. They are, after all, a nomenklatura of sorts, and membership has its privileges. But for two leftist politicos who unleashed 'defund the police' on the public, the result was so big they couldn't escape it. They got what they voted for, "good and hard," as H.L. Mencken put it.
Is America officially a nation of sheep? replies

Is America officially a nation of sheep? No, but a recent YouGov poll does prove that about half of us are. It showed that Democrats are both more fearful than the rest of us of COVID and more authoritarian when it comes to mandating vaccines for those who have chosen not to submit to the jab, the “Fauci-ouchy” as Michael Knowles calls it. So, one can conclude that democrats are indeed more sheeplike. The Democrat party was not always scaredy-cats, motivated by fear and a will toward authoritarianism.

President Trump gave an interview to Candace Owens for The Daily Wire. The full interview is only available for subscribers; however, there is a segment released by Mrs. Owens where Donald Trump talks about the specifics of his position on the vaccine and the mandates. (snip) …the issue of the vaccines overall, and the mandate specifically, President Trump’s position seems quite pragmatic and reasonable. He’s proud to have developed the vaccines, believes they are of benefit, but strongly respects individual choice, liberty and the freedom to decide for yourself and your family. I don’t see anything controversial in this position.
Christ, COVID, and the Spirit of Fear replies

It’s Christmas. The Lord’s angel who announced the good news of the world’s Savior and commanded the shepherds to be not afraid spoke not only to them but to us as well. The advent of Christ, the logos (word, reason) of God made flesh, doesn’t just render fear superfluous. The incarnation of the second person of the Blessed Trinity unequivocally forbids indulgence of, as Paul refers to it, “the spirit of fear.”

Thirteen-year Border Patrol Agent Roy Cantu warns that Biden’s border crisis could soon get worse and urges Americans to “utilize your Second Amendment” for safety. FOX News reports that Cantu told the NRA that Biden’s vaccine mandate for all federal employees means agents must either get vaccinated or give up their jobs. He noted that if the agency loses numerous personnel, there will be increased danger for all Americans via an open border:
What Do We Do with the FBI Now? replies

The events of the past five or six years have demonstrated to America that the FBI is no longer the unbiased law enforcement agency it once was. (snip) There are only two options: rehabilitate the FBI, or eliminate it. The current state is unacceptable in a functioning constitutional republic.(snip) The DoJ has not only failed to provide course correction to the FBI, it has arguably contributed to the problems. The rebuilding of the FBI should be overseen by a board chartered with the mission of rehabilitation, and staffed with people who care about integrity and understand what a well-functioning police organization should look like.

The California Department of Education's equity project manager has resigned due to the fact she lives in Texas. Pamela Kadakia worked for the California state department while living in Texas, according to Politico. Additionally, the Lone Star State is on California's state-funded travel ban list. California law mandates that state employees live there unless they need to live in another location for their work, such as lobbying in D.C. Kadakia is the second California education equity official to depart in recent weeks.

Leftism is driven by committee advice; it’s how the echo-chambering communal groupthink works. After the White House COVID “Winter of Death” messaging was ridiculed and ignored by almost everyone in the general public, the communications team quickly went back to the drawing board. You can almost hear Ron Klain instructing the team to find ways to avoid the ‘Grinch team‘ labeling. However, the ordinary emotional disposition of leftists and Democrats, writ large, is depressing, angry and negative, the result from a lifetime of blame casting.

I regret to inform you that Joe Biden is stumping for tyranny again. But before we get to the president, let’s engage in a thought experiment.Imagine a world in which Republicans control all three branches of the government, and in this world, there’s a national election coming. Further, the Republicans are heavily favored to lose. Now, imagine that the GOP then spit on centuries of precedent and introduced a federal takeover of the voting system in order to try to rig that election. Lastly, when they failed to pass it via traditional legislative means, they then moved to change the rules of the Senate in order to pass it anyway.
