A sex offender freed from prison earlier this year after 35 years behind bars victimized two women in under two hours in separate “terrifying” attacks in Queens last week, prosecutors said Friday. Ralph Toro, 62, was arrested Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Express in Corona—a hotel for recently released registered sex offenders—for a midday Dec. 17 knife-point sexual assault of a 51-year-old woman in the elevator of a building at 62nd Drive and 108th St. in Forest Hills. But prosecutors revealed Friday that just an hour before Toro attacked the 51-year-old, he tried to attack a 28-year-old woman at knife-point

Comments:

Seems he was making up for lost time. I know a cheap and permanent cure for this behavior.

He gets let out of prison after 35 years for being a sex offender, and an hour later he attacks two women? What is wrong with our prison system? Granted after 35 years you'd think he'd have learned something - evidently not.

Just put a bullet in his head. Some carreer criminals need exterminated for the safety of the community. Way back when, someone who persistently was a threat to the community would eventually be hung... but Democrats became concerned they might get caught up by such legal technicaliries and changed the laws.

The judge ordered this creep held without bail. Shocking. I've been under the impression that attempted rape with a knife was a mere misdenor enshrined by the 100% ruled demonrats in the legislature, since they love criminals so much. Done by another feral animal to boot.

President Biden won the White House on a pledge to crush the coronavirus through a commitment to science, testing for anyone who wants it, and a major vaccine sprint in his first 100 days in office. Things haven’t quite gone as planned. More than a year into the vaccine drive, and nearly 12 months since Mr. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris memorialized 400,000 COVID-19 deaths on the eve of the inauguration, the U.S. is mourning another 400,000 lives lost to the disease and now battling another winter surge in the virus. Pandemic-weary Americans face a third calendar year in which offices are shuttered, Broadway shows are postponed

Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo is backing up a Jewish congressman’s incendiary claim that he heard protesters scream “Jew!” at him during a September event in New Jersey. Garden State Democratic Rep. Josh Gottheimer caused a stir during a Dec. 13 speech at Rutgers University in which he said he was set upon by anti-Semitic protesters on Sept. 20 as he and Raimondo made a series of stops in Bergen County promoting President Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill. The pair were greeted by around 100 hecklers in Glen Rock—most of whom, Gottheimer claimed, came from the local chapter of the Working Families Party. The situation was intense enough

The USS Milwaukee has delayed its deployment to South America after sailors tested positive for COVID-19 on board. The Navy combat ship, which left Mayport, Fla., on Dec. 14, will remain docked at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, where it stopped for a scheduled port visit. The Navy did not specify how many sailors have tested positive, but said only some of those are showing mild symptoms. All have been isolated from the healthy crew. The Milwaukee’s crew is “100% immunized,” officials said. “The ship is following an aggressive mitigation strategy in accordance with the Navy and CDC guidelines,” the Navy said in a statement Friday.

Santa Claus is too white, too straight and too male for most young people in the UK today, according to a poll. The modern depiction of Father Christmas as an old white man with a big bushy beard who wears a red and white suit was made globally famous by Coca Cola’s adverts of the 1930s. A survey by YouGov has now found that 60 per cent of 18–24-year-olds in the UK think it is ‘acceptable’ for Santa to be gay. But 41 per cent across all age groups said it was not OK, including 17 per cent of lesbian, gay and bisexual respondents.

As we celebrate what may be the last shared American tradition, Christmas, Rush’s absence is palpably felt — his voice is being missed.
