A New York judge ordered the New York Times to destroy all copies of attorney-client privileged memos from Project Veritas. The order, signed by Judge Charles Wood of the State Supreme Court in Westchester County and dated Thursday, found the newspaper improperly obtained and published materials from the memos written by a lawyer for the conservative group that discussed Project Veritas's methods of reporting. The group sued the New York Times in November 2020 for defamation.

Big whoop. They've already had the forbidden fruit of protected attorney-client communications of a party in whom they are in litigation. Can't un-ring the bell.

Under the guise of investigating a stolen diary the FBI steals privileged legal documents from the plaintiff in a lawsuit and hands them over to the defendant. Christopher Wray, always classy . . .

Dominion voting machines in Fulton County, Pennsylvania, will be sent to the state Senate for inspection next month following a ruling by the commonwealth court, according to a press release Thursday by The Amistad Project. “The court recognized that it was improper to demand that the county – which owns the machines, and has the responsibility of running the election along with the legislature – can’t determine whether the machines worked properly,” Amistad Project Director Phill Kline said. “As the judge noted, there’s no justification for preventing the county from looking at their own machines.”

The California Department of Education's equity project manager has resigned due to the fact she lives in Texas. Pamela Kadakia worked for the California state department while living in Texas, according to Politico. Additionally, the Lone Star State is on California's state-funded travel ban list. California law mandates that state employees live there unless they need to live in another location for their work, such as lobbying in D.C. Kadakia is the second California education equity official to depart in recent weeks.

It’s fifty years now since I was at university and a great deal of my time there -- especially the weekends -- is long forgotten. I do remember going with the intention of studying math and economics. At that time, and maybe still, there was a requirement, in the first year, to take other subjects. Whether this was to prevent specializing too soon or to provide a more rounded education or both I don’t know but, when my second year began one of those other subjects became all of my classes, either Modern History or Economic History.

It’s hard to say who is the bigger object lesson of the Trump resistance. Is it former Gov. Andrew Cuomo who briefly became the hero of the pandemic before falling under suspicion for lying about the death toll and for creating a hostile work environment for several of the women who worked for him. He wound up resigning, having lost the support of the people who’d once lionized him. But Michael Avenatti arguably fell even farther. In 2018 he seemed to be on television almost every day. He became such a media rock star that there was briefly talk that he might run for president.

The court, in an order, said that its consideration for requests to stay those mandates would be deferred until oral argument on Jan. 7. The Supreme Court consolidated the applications of both challenges, which were considered by Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Justice Samuel Alito, and both will be heard on Jan. 7.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk declared he’s "not perverted enough" to be welcomed on CNN as the liberal network struggles through a series of embarrassing scandals. Musk sat down with satirical website The Babylon Bee for a lengthy podcast interview and, during a conversation about "pointless" companies that "shouldn’t exist" and "should probably be disbanded," a co-host joked they didn’t feel qualified to interview Musk. "I’m not the one who asked for the podcast. You guys did, just to be clear," Musk joked.

A federal court ruled on Monday that a faith-based women’s shelter in Anchorage, Alaska, was allowed to remain open exclusively for women after the city passed an ordinance to mandate otherwise. The Downtown Hope Center sued the city in 2018 when officials sought legal retribution against the charity over its refusal to allow an inebriated and injured biological man who identified as a woman to sleep at its facility alongside homeless women. The shelter referred the man to a hospital instead where he was sent in a taxi paid for by the group.

President Biden is botching the COVID response. With a new Omicron variant spreading and Christmas upon us, home tests are nowhere to be found. Worse, the ever-changing goal posts given by the Biden administration have made many skeptical or even outright rebellious toward health experts; confidence in Dr. Anthony Fauci has waned with every political group. We're used to hearing about those feeling skeptical toward the powers that be as recalcitrant Trump voters—despite the fact that President Trump recently shared that he is not only vaccinated but he had received a booster shot. Writers at leading news outlets and liberal politicians routinely portray the vaccine hesitant as white Republicans.

The events of the past five or six years have demonstrated to America that the FBI is no longer the unbiased law enforcement agency it once was. (snip) There are only two options: rehabilitate the FBI, or eliminate it. The current state is unacceptable in a functioning constitutional republic.(snip) The DoJ has not only failed to provide course correction to the FBI, it has arguably contributed to the problems. The rebuilding of the FBI should be overseen by a board chartered with the mission of rehabilitation, and staffed with people who care about integrity and understand what a well-functioning police organization should look like.

Santa Claus is too white, too straight and too male for most young people in the UK today, according to a poll. The modern depiction of Father Christmas as an old white man with a big bushy beard who wears a red and white suit was made globally famous by Coca Cola’s adverts of the 1930s. A survey by YouGov has now found that 60 per cent of 18–24-year-olds in the UK think it is ‘acceptable’ for Santa to be gay. But 41 per cent across all age groups said it was not OK, including 17 per cent of lesbian, gay and bisexual respondents.

Ah, tis the season of joy and happiness---NOT! It’s time for the tyrannical power gods to inflict more terror and angst into our over stressed lives so we’ll be eager to let our government save us. The latest scourge is the limp omicron virus that is basically the common cold but media demands it wear the cloak of a bubonic-like plague. Political tyrants are mandating vaccinations or else {even though they know these vaccines are useless and, in some cases, dangerous}. Formerly independent-minded Americans have become lemmings rushing to the cliffs erected by Uncle Sam’s Plantation. "Come on, man" as Biden is wont to say.

Leftism is driven by committee advice; it’s how the echo-chambering communal groupthink works. After the White House COVID “Winter of Death” messaging was ridiculed and ignored by almost everyone in the general public, the communications team quickly went back to the drawing board. You can almost hear Ron Klain instructing the team to find ways to avoid the ‘Grinch team‘ labeling. However, the ordinary emotional disposition of leftists and Democrats, writ large, is depressing, angry and negative, the result from a lifetime of blame casting.

Sen. Liz Warren, an early adopter on the fake Indian front, suddenly has a lot of company. Get a load of this from Legal Insurrection: The Native American population in the U.S. grew by a staggering 86.5% between 2010 and 2020, according to the latest U.S. Census – a rate demographers say is impossible to achieve without immigration. Birth rates among Native Americans don’t explain the massive rise in numbers. And there certainly is no evidence of an influx of Native American expatriates returning to the U.S.

The conviction of former Minnesota police officer Kim Potter for manslaughter brought closure for the family of Duante Wright and many in our society. The fact, however, is that it will not bring closure on the problem that originally lead to a hung jury until the judge sent the jury back with an instruction to try again. (snip)As with the jury in the murder trial of Ahmaud Arbery, these jurors showed again that they exhibit the objectivity and integrity too often missing in our commentators and politicians. The question is not whether the jury got the law right but whether the law itself is wrong in its vague criteria.

Millions of us are experiencing a terrible void in the absence of Rush Limbaugh this Christmas. Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” contains a character soliciting charitable donations, who reminds Scrooge that “want and grief are both felt keenly during this festive season.” Though critics (most of whom never listened to him) will never understand, Rush Limbaugh was undeniably loved by so many of us. As we celebrate what may be the last shared American tradition, Christmas, Rush’s absence is palpably felt — his voice is being missed.
