Tom Klingenstein explains why 2020 may be the most consequential election since 1860--and why President Trump is the man most uniquely suited to the moment.(Snip)The multicultural movement, which has taken over the Democratic party, is a revolutionary movement. I do not mean a metaphorical revolution. It is not like a revolution; it is a revolution, an attempt to overthrow the American Founding as President Trump said in his excellent Mt. Rushmore speech.(Snip)The Black Lives Matter/Democrats understand (which Republicans seem not to), that if they are to achieve this policy agenda they must get Americans to change their values, their principles, and the way they understand themselves.

The federal prosecutor appointed by Attorney General William P. Barr to review whether Obama-era officials improperly requested the identities of individuals whose names were redacted in intelligence documents has completed his work without finding any substantive wrongdoing, according to people familiar with the matter. The revelation that U.S. Attorney John Bash, who left the department last week, had concluded his review without criminal charges or any public report will rankle President Trump at a moment when he is particularly upset at the Justice Department.

President Donald Trump roared back to the campaign trail for an energetic rally in Florida last night. It was his first rally since his short battle with the coronavirus, and if the attendee data from that rally is any indicator, Trump is set to defeat Joe Biden as swiftly as he did the coronavirus.
Ronna McDaniel posted attendee data to Twitter last night showing that President Trump has continued to bring in a broad coalition of voters – and first time voters. The following data is sourced from those who signed up to attend the rally: [Snip] These sort of statistics have been kept for a number of rallies held earlier

The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday effectively allowed the government to stop the census count immediately, blocking a lower court order that would have required the Trump administration to continue gathering census information in the field until the end of October.
The Census Bureau said it wanted to stop the count so that it could start processing the data in order to meet a Dec. 31 deadline, set in federal law, for reporting the results to the president. But the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ordered the government to keep going with its field work until October 31, concluding that a longer time in the field would increase accuracy.

You can rack your brains with this simple exercise for hours—probably days—and fail to identify one political figure from the Left who has even a gentle musky whiff of masculinity. David Petraeus, the vaunted commander in Iraq and later CIA Director to President Obama, or the image-conscious “Mad Dog” Jim Mattis both fail the test.

The election campaign, now finally approaching its climax, will long be studied because of the paradoxical reactions of American public opinion to an astonishing series of events and revelations. It is now clear from intelligence declassifications—now temporarily taking the place of indictments by the special counsel on the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation—that the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, knew that she was transmitting reports compiled by Russian intelligence agents and transmitted via former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele. These were presented to the U.S. intelligence and justice communities and ultimately to the public through the media as hard intelligence evidence of treasonable conduct by her opponent Donald Trump.

Oddly during her segment to deliver prepared remarks she relied on a teleprompter for the broadcast. Senator Harris does not use a teleprompter well, and the effort was transparent. WATCH: (Video)This is an example of how/why the DNC club control agents are pressuring for virtual debates. Everything about the Harris-Biden ticket is a Potemkin village; both candidates are avatars, puppets, for the big club control agents behind the curtain.

CBS News Catherine Herridge has obtained a 94-page spread sheet (pdf here) showing dates of media reports, dates of Steele reports on the same material, and the FBI effort to verify or validate the circular process. In essence this is evidence of the process we initially shared almost three years ago; only now we know the names.Former SSCI staffer Dan Jones, former Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson, and Simpson’s crew at Fusion-GPS, pitched and planted phony Trump-Russia evidence with the media and simultaneously gave those fake points to Chris Steele to supplement the dossier. Using the same method of Ezra Klein’s “JournOList” replication, Dan Jones

The race for U.S. Congressional District 21 has been one to watch since the primaries when election officials announced Wendy Davis won the Democratic nomination and would challenge Republican incumbent Chip Roy on Election Day.
The Candidates
Roy is a former federal prosecutor, advisor to elected officials, and was first assistant attorney general to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Roy recently called Paxton to resign amid accusations against Paxton of bribery and abuse of office.
Davis is a former state senator for State District 10 who led a 13-hour filibuster to block a bill restricting abortion rights in Texas. She was also the Democratic challenger in the 2014

In Iran, this summer was a season of combustions. As fires and explosions followed hard upon one another, the New York Times reported that “for many Iranians, anticipating what will blow up next has become a kind of parlor game.”
Some of these conflagrations must have been natural occurrences: A string of forest fires owed much to a period of intense heat. Some fires or blasts at industrial facilities were likely the consequence of derelict maintenance due to foreign sanctions or managerial incompetence. Others, however, were attributed to arson or the detonation of bombs.

Less than a month before the presidential election, one billed as “the most important of our lifetime,” Donald Trump’s chances in the forecasts have shrunk to impossibly small. More conventional Republican talking heads decry his tone and demeanor on cable news, confident that he will be rejected by the voters in November. Democrats appear to be poised to claim not just the presidency, but Congress as well in a decisive victory that will usher in a new, progressive era of politics.
Sound familiar? Of course, these words perfectly describe not only 2020, but also 2016, and the ending of that story is all too well-known.

In Billy Joel's rock classic, "You May Be Right," he has the memorable lines:
You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for.
It's too late to fight
It's too late to change me
You may be wrong, but for all I know,
You may be right.
Billy Joel's classic came back to me as everybody seems eager to bash the "Q-Anon" phenomenon these days.

There's a bad joke about a music scholar who visits Beethoven's grave in Vienna. As he nears, he hears the Ninth Symphony being played backward. He turns to the cemetery caretaker and asks, "What's that strange music?" The caretaker answers, "Oh, that's just Beethoven de-composing." That joke pops into my mind every time I see photos of Joe Biden or hear him speak. On the one hand, Biden is holding up better than I would have expected a few months ago. On the other hand, no one can deny that the man is aging with incredible speed Today, several people emailed me the same meme. Correction*

Lockdowns to slow or even halt the coronavirus pandemic have been the focus of an intense debate since early this year. But in recent weeks and months, both the scientific and economic discussions have come down hard on one side: The lockdowns have been an immense failure, costing the economy trillions of dollars and, more importantly, thousands of lives. Time to put an end to this craziness.
For those who don’t recall, the initial lockdowns were sold to the public as an emergency move to “flatten the curve” for 15 days during March to keep hospitals from being overwhelmed with

Democrat mayors and city councils have surrendered America’s largest cities to “domestic terrorists,” said Howard Safir, former New York City police commissioner and fire commissioner, offering his remarks on Monday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.Safir said, “It’s the Democratic cities who have basically ceded their cities to what got called ‘peaceful protesters’ but are really people who are vandals and looters, and in some cases, not only assault people but are murderers.”Safir added, “You look at Seattle, you look at Minneapolis, you look at Chicago, and places like that where basically they have given their cities to these — what I call — domestic terrorists.”

President Trump said he was “immune” from the coronavirus at a campaign rally in Florida on Monday night — and offered to kiss everyone in the audience to prove his resilience. Trump was about 20 minutes into his speech in front of thousands of supporters at an airport hanger in Sanford when he made the offer to kiss the audience members. “I feel so powerful… I’ll kiss everyone in that audience. I’ll kiss the guys and the beautiful women,” he said. “I’ll just give you a big fat kiss.” Trump then continued riffing on his bounce back from his bout with COVID-19, saying

On the opening day of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings, Democrats seemed to want to avoid talking about nominee Amy Coney Barrett.
Evidently, polling showed Democrats that their scorched-earth tactics against Brett Kavanaugh backfired in the 2018 Senate races. And they got the memo that the attacks on Barrett’s religious beliefs that they deployed during her appellate court confirmation hearings were likely to go over about as well as a Yankees parade in South Boston. Furthermore, they cannot question the credentials of Barrett, who is widely respected by lawyers regardless of their ideology and earned the American Bar Association’s highest “well qualified” rating.

ALBANY, N.Y. — Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo had barely finished a fairly routine coronavirus briefing earlier this month when he got word that the New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, had just blindsided him.
The mayor unexpectedly announced that he intended to close down schools and nonessential businesses in parts of Brooklyn and Queens, where the coronavirus was surging in communities with large Orthodox Jewish populations. Mr. de Blasio asserted that he had been in contact with the state, whose approval was needed.
It took less than 24 hours for Mr. Cuomo to fire back.
He halted the mayor’s plan to shutter businesses, calling it imprecise

Add up everything we know about the ongoing violence in America’s cities, and you get a troubling picture.
It has nothing to do with law-abiding, peaceful demonstrations in favor of civil rights and police reform. No, the violence that exploits these well-intentioned activities — which often occurs after night falls and demonstrations have ended — is part of an organized effort to implement a radical political agenda.
For starters, the violence is organized criminal activity. The same destructive activists have been identified at different times in different cities around the country. For example, in August eight members of the Seattle-based group Riot Kitchen were arrested after wreaking havoc in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

It would be great if the President was an icon of virtue and goodness, but he isn’t. As much as my Democratic friends want to parse otherwise, neither was Bill Clinton, but we overlooked Clinton’s repugnancy because we loved his booming economy. When you strip away the media noise, the fundamental question is: do you want a Trump or Biden economy in 2021 and beyond? Thankfully, both men have records in leading the country so the question isn’t a speculative one.
Additionally, given that the states are experiencing dramatically different post-pandemic economic recoveries, we can see what a Trump economy is doing under conservative leadership

The mayor of Anchorage, Alaska, on Monday admitted to an “inappropriate messaging relationship” with a local TV news anchor who lodged bizarre and unsubstantiated allegations against him.
“I apologize to the people of Anchorage for a major lapse in judgement I made several years ago when I had a consensual, inappropriate messaging relationship with reporter Maria Athens,” Mayor Ethan Berkowitz said in a statement.
Athens, an anchor for the local Fox and ABC affiliated news stations, posted a video to her professional Facebook page last Friday alleging Berkowitz posted an illicit photo of himself to “an underage girls website.”

A federal judge is allowing a whistleblower complaint to proceed against the Clinton Foundation, ruling the IRS "abused its discretion" in trying to dismiss allegations of nonprofit wrongdoing by one of America's most famous political families.
U.S. Tax Court Judge David Gustafson denied the Internal Revenue Service's request for a summary motion, ruling the whistleblower complaint by John Moynihan, a former Drug Enforcement Agency official, and Larry Doyle, a corporate tax compliance expert, "provided 'specific credible documentation' supporting their allegations" of possible tax-exempt legal violations by the Clinton charity based in Arkansas.

Chicago has seen a rise in murder cases, not just compared to the previous year but compared to the previous four years, according to figures released by the Chicago Police Department.
The CPD regularly posts statistics about crime in the city, both week to week and year to year. A look at recent stats shows that murder has risen in the city, doubling in the first week of October from the previous week with 15 murders, and the city is on track

As if woke capital hasn’t made life in America dangerous enough for those slightly to the left of center, popular internet review website Yelp has taken it upon itself to allow users to report “racist behavior” on the part of a business. Called the Business Accused of Racist Behavior Alert, Yelp’s own blog states that the process begins with a milder Public Attention Alert “to inform consumers if someone associated with the business was accused of, or the target of, racist behavior.” It only gets escalated to a BARBA (my term) when there is “resounding evidence” of “egregious, racist actions from a business owner of employee.”

Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee devoted their opening statements on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to repeating a shameless lie. Why can’t they share their real reasons for opposing her?
The Democrats, one after another, claimed that confirming Barrett would result in ObamaCare being overturned when the court takes it up Nov. 10, with Americans dying as a result.
It’s plainly false: Several conservative justices clearly don’t buy the arguments made for striking down the law in this case. And Barrett, based on her overall philosophy, is likely to agree with them.

A cafe owned by a military veteran was shot at during a chaotic demonstration in Portland over the weekend after being deemed by rioters as unfriendly to the Black Lives Matter movement.
Heroes American Cafe was targeted for being an "unfriendly business" by so-called Antifa-linked Twitter accounts, owner John Jackson told Fox News.
Two windows in the cafe's downtown location were shot at and another was struck with a blunt object -- possibly a baseball bat -- said Jackson, a Black man who served in the Army and Marine Corps.

Joe Biden was quick to dismiss voters who say they are better off now than they were in 2016.
A recent Gallup poll taken Sept. 14-28 made headlines after it revealed that 56 percent of voters said they were better off now than they were four years ago. Just 32 percent of them said they were worse off.
During an interview with Cincinnati's WKRC Local 12 on Monday, reporter Kyle Inskeep cited the Gallup poll and asked the Democratic nominee, "Why should people who feel that they're better off today under a Trump administration vote for you?"
"Well if they think that, they probably shouldn't," Biden responded.

CNN White Correspondent Jim Acosta snapped back at a crowd of Trump supporters Monday for chanting “CNN Sucks” during his live shot at President Donald Trump’s Florida rally. “But Iowa and North Carolina are really states that should be in the bag for President Trump right now, that’s an indication as to how much trouble he is now,” Acosta said before being interrupted by growing chants of “CNN sucks!” at Trump’s Sanford, Florida rally. “And as this crowd is chanting that there are members of the press here who suck, I should also point out what also sucks — getting the coronavirus,” Acosta told Wolf Blitzer.

On a night when the NBA broadcast its most important game, you would think that the league would own the night. That, once again, turned out to not be the case. The viewership numbers for the sixth and final game of the NBA Finals are in, and they are atrocious. Game 6 drew, at its peak, 6.028 million viewers. To put that in perspective, Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals, which included a team from Canada and did not include LeBron James, drew 18.34 million viewers. Those figures represent a 66 percent drop.(Snip) The heavy viewership losses are consistent with disastrous viewership numbers
