Attorney Ron Meuser told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS the number of Minneapolis police officers who have filed for disability claims since this spring's civil unrest and rioting has now reached 175, with 100 other officers considering similar moves. "The 100 additional officers are doing their best to hang in there and not leave because they want to serve their community," Meuser said. "But if there is more rioting in the near future, I would not be surprised to see the number of officers filing for disability to reach between 250 and 300 officers."

Just today I heard from my nephew who lives in Edina, a very upscale Minneapolis suburb. He was on his way to a swanky mall last Saturday evening when he was approached by two young males holding belts. They asked him if ‘wanted a beating?’ He ignored them and hop skipped to the safety of the entrance to the mall. How does this insanity end? Or will it?

Of course. Have they hired the psychologists/psychiatrists to respond to 911 calls yet?

I live in a forth ring suburb of Minneapolis. With a carry permit, I feel fairly safe for now. However, the new light rail system is headed my way. That will bring trouble.

#1, it ends only if massive numbers of people vote for every Republican on any ballot. Do not think only Trump can do the job, but elect Republican House and Senate members to help stop what is today's Democrat party - they aren't anything like Democrats from 20-40 years ago as none are conservative any more, and few if any are even considered moderate. Today's Democrat party is either a Liberal, a Progressive, or Socialist.

Every city surrounding Minneapolis should offer to hire those police officers and have them doing 24/7 patrols of their border with Minneapolis, tracking miscreants from that city that are want to cause trouble in the suburban community.

I don't know how Minneapolis works , but where I worked filing for disability doesn't mean you get it. I also know of a few instances where someone got disability retirement and was investigated and had to come back to work.

When the Glass fire hit Amorosa and other Napa wineries Sunday and Monday, it did little damage to the front of the castle. But it badly scorched the back building and heated up a stone wall on a processing facility where thousands of wine bottles were stored, many now ruined.   Climate change, which has been linked to much of California’s current apocalyptic wildfire season...

Voters marking ballots from home could lead to an increase in the kinds of mistakes that typically would be caught by a scanner or election worker at the polls. Experts say...

When President Trump refused to concede the election to Joe Biden in the immediate aftermath of Nov. 3, we argued that he had the right to mount legal challenges if he believed there had been irregularities, mistakes, fraud, or all three. Democratic objections and outrage were as hypocritical as they were inevitable, coming as they did from a corps that refused to accept the 2016 election result not for days, weeks, or even months, but for four years. But although fair-minded people know there are legitimate procedures for litigation, and that these should be allowed to play out, there is also wisdom in the phrase, “put up or shut up.”
