Hawaii should be able to better than Sen. Hirono. Does she know that Hawaii was 1 of 4 States that allowed legal abortions PRIOR to the 1973 Roe v Wade decision, thus, even if it's overturned her constituents in Hawaii, or anyone visiting, would still be able to get a legal abortion? I am still trying to assess whether or not adding the 50th state resulted in a net increase in value to the USA. I have my doubts it did, and Senator Mazie Hirono further confirms that. In the history of that state, they have only had one Republican senator, and he left office in January of 1977.

So this is the gotcha at the last moment. Dems will drag out some liberal burned out Rodes College grad that will claim Amy called a 'big stud' and then made him, made him make passionate love and have oral sex under the Memphis Stars will listening to Elvis since 'In the Ghetto". He will even claim their is a blue dress with proof onf the encounter in Amy's closet. This will lead to the demands the FBI storm the Barrett house in full swat gear to find the elusive Lewinski stain on Amy's college blouse.

Justice Thomas was asked a similar question. Herman Cain was asked that question. So was Candidate Trump and Justice Kavanaugh. They all said no. Then, up pops... (drum roll please) ... someone (paid) who said otherwise. Historically, this question is followed in a couple of days by an accuser. I hope Hirono was just trying to kick up dust on Judge Barrett. #55, in my house, we consider Senator Kennedy a national treasure! His questions about how a judge uses reasoning, and legal analysis, including textualism, were brilliant, because he was able to allow Amy Barrett to explain the processes in simple terms. The Biden campaign lashed out at the New York Post after it reported Wednesday on emails showing that Hunter Biden arranged a meeting between an adviser to the Ukrainian company he worked for and then-Vice President Joe Biden, despite the elder Biden’s repeated denials he ever discussed business dealings with his son.One email dated April 17, 2015, said, according to the Post: “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”Andrew Bates, a spokesman for the Biden campaign, said in a statement to Politico:

Tommy Lee, known best as the drummer of the heavy metal band Mötley Crüe, has promised to leave the United States if President Trump wins re-election in November. The 58-year-old musician told The Big Issue he'll go back to Greece, where he was born. “Dude, I swear to god if that happens then I’m coming over to visit the U.K. I’m out of here," Lee said. "I’ll go back to my motherland, go back to go Greece and get a house on one of the islands."

Republican Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah is stressing that the country’s politics has “moved away from the spirited debate to a vile, vituperative, hate-filled morass that is unbecoming of any free nation.” And the 2012 GOP presidential nominee warns that the "rabid attacks kindle the conspiracy mongers and the haters" to launch "dangerous action” such as the recent kidnapping plot against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Former President Barack Obama, still a hugely popular figure among Democrats, fronted a new video campaign Tuesday to get out the vote for Joe Biden. In videos tailored for states vital to Biden's challenge against President Donald Trump, Obama urges voters to get organized ahead of an election disrupted by COVID-19, increased use of mail-in ballots, and Trump's unprecedented - and debunked - claims of a rigged contest. En route to Florida Tuesday, Biden also said Obama would soon be hitting the campaign trail too. 'He's doing enough for our campaign. He'll be out on the trail,' Biden told reporters.
Donald Trump’s Supreme mistake: Amy Coney
Barrett’s nomination may well supercharge

As the Senate conducts its hearing to confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court this week, the timing of her nomination — just a week and a day after the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and weeks before a presidential election — has enraged Democrats in Congress and many Democratic voters. (Snip) And exit polls showed that nationally, more voters opposed Kavanaugh’s nomination than supported it. The numbers were especially stark among women. If Barrett has a similar effect on turnout — mobilizing more Democrats than Republicans — that’s even math that Trump can do, and it isn’t good for him. Trump needs every vote he can get.

Sen. Kamala Harris is the very embodiment of today’s progressives. She proved this again and again on the debate stage with Vice President Mike Pence, most clearly in her continual willingness to twist or rewrite history to make a point. This time she simply made up a story about Abraham Lincoln’s decision to appoint Salmon P. Chase to the U.S. Supreme Court as the election of 1864 approached. Chief Justice Roger Taney, author of the notorious Dred Scott decision and an implacable foe of the president, died in early October. In Ms. Harris’ version of what happened next, Lincoln delayed appointing his successor until after the election

Not long ago, business was a very dry arena. If a company made a calculator, that’s all you would ever know. These days, it seems corporations have calculated the benefit of messaging. Therefore, they’re investing in the social and political realm. Case in point: Oreo has teamed with PFLAG — Parents and Friends of Lesbians And Gays — to release a special edition of its delicious, milk-ready mainstays. And not only that — the confection colossus has produced a short film about a mom and her lesbian daughter. As for the new multi-colored treats, don’t look for ’em in-store — they can only be won online.

Suspicious Dem questions for Amy

For those who have watched the Senate confirmation hearing of Amy Coney Barrett for Supreme Court justice, we know one thing: facing the inevitability of her confirmation, the Democrats are using this entire hearing as a big, fat campaign ad for Joe Biden. It's all about COVID, the ACA, and health care — just like his entire shtick for the last few months. But is this really all they are up to? History proves that the Dems are usually up to no good, especially when they seem to be behaving. It's possible they will just use the remainder of their time to filibuster,

As far as I can tell, critics have them dead to rights on this. Check the Wayback Machine and you’ll find that Merriam-Webster’s definition of “preference” said nothing about the term being offensive as of September 28, the last time the page was archived. Today the label “offensive” has been attached, with this note about usage: Usage of Preference The term preference as used to refer to sexual orientation is widely considered offensive in its implied suggestion that a person can choose who they are sexually or romantically attracted to. It’s … strange that the alleged offensiveness of the term came to M-W’s attention only recently if it’s “widely considered” to be taboo.

They came, they questioned and they got nothing. It’s almost enough to make you feel sorry for Democrats. Almost. With a history of vicious misbehavior and the political calendar limiting their ability to smear Amy Coney Barrett, Dems on the Senate Judiciary Committee were reduced to being annoying nags and finger-wagging scolds. They were never going to vote for any Supreme Court nominee of President Trump’s to replace the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, but they don’t even have the option of giving Barrett the Brett Kavanaugh 2.0 treatment.

I was listening to the NASCAR race at Concord, N.C. last Sunday. I was several times "treated" to a commercial decrying racism and racial inequality. After hearing it for the third time, I began to think about the transformation NASCAR, whose TV ratings are down, is trying to pull off. NASCAR, founded in 1948, was content to sanction races for seventy years. Then, on October 1, 2018, it appointed Steve Phelps as its president. Of the appointment, Matt Weaver, Autoweek columnist, wrote, "And for the first time since the decline of NASCAR's mainstream popularity began, the sanctioning body is publicly admitting what Phelps is calling
