Joe Biden continues to age at warp

There's a bad joke about a music scholar who visits Beethoven's grave in Vienna. As he nears, he hears the Ninth Symphony being played backward. He turns to the cemetery caretaker and asks, "What's that strange music?" The caretaker answers, "Oh, that's just Beethoven de-composing." That joke pops into my mind every time I see photos of Joe Biden or hear him speak. On the one hand, Biden is holding up better than I would have expected a few months ago. On the other hand, no one can deny that the man is aging with incredible speed Today, several people emailed me the same meme. Correction*

I saw some videos of the "young' Biden being shown on TV. He has deteriorated but not by much! Like a leopard he was born with spots and they are still there.

The speed of Biden's mental deterioration is increasing week by week. Will his puppet masters allow a 2nd debate? Biden's potential downside risks include him loosing his campaign in an instant, i.e., Michael Dukakis' tank helmet and Howard Dean's "Dean Scream."

He's so far gone you have to wonder who the hell would be the real POTUS. I refuse to believe that they would let Harris run the show after the way she got slaughtered in the primaries. Someone else is the man or woman behind the curtain. It is a pitiful display of abuse trotting the old wreck out there.

I am still fascinated by the fact that Biden can do as well as he does such as the debate with PDJT where he at least had stamina, could stay on-topic and argue a thought with detail and some depth for a long period. Then, a few days later, in Arizona, he requires arrows chalked on the pavement to help him follow a simple path and even then he struggles to stay on course. I have seen dementia patients and these inconsistencies were not evident in any of them. They lost mental acuity across the board. High level thinking and sustaining thoughts and ideas long enough to argue them are not hallmarks of dementia. I honestly can’t understand how Biden’s debate appearance, all 90 minutes of it, was possible.

When he bluntly refuses to state his position on the Supreme Court and then bluntly re-states that the American people don't deserve to know his position, does he really know what he's saying? Does he have a clue of the impact those statements have?

The polls appear to be shifting in favor of Joe Biden. A commonly heard explanation from Trump supporters is many of the polls are oversampling Democrats. This is true in some cases but not all. So, is something else going on here we do not really understand? (snip) According to a recent Cato Institute poll, 77% of conservatives are now afraid to express their political views versus roughly 50% of liberals. This includes 40% of Republicans with a college degree and 60% with a post-graduate degree, who are afraid their political views will harm their careers, versus only 25% of Democrats.

The surest way to convince people that they ought to pay attention to something is to tell them they shouldn’t be allowed to see it. About a century ago, when Boston had a municipal movie censor, producers vied to be “banned in Boston” as a way of convincing the public to flock to their flicks. This century’s version of the same lesson is called “The Streisand effect,” after the singer drew attention to her lavish seaside estate in California by attempting to suppress aerial pictures taken of it. Nobody ever said Joe Biden was a quick learner.

With apologies to Groucho Marx, we now have the answer to the question: “What if they held a Biden-Harris rally and nobody showed up?” The answer is a shocked TV street reporter. With nobody visible on the street outside, the reporter said, “Pretty much all the people we saw who pulled into the parking lot about 45 minutes ago were with the Biden-Harris campaign or the pool reporters.” And she noted that because both halves of the ticket were appearing,it was “technically, a big event.” Not big enough to draw a crowd.

The CDC answers this question with a “case definition.” A case is not just a positive test. Instead what is needed is, “Presumptive laboratory evidence AND either clinical criteria OR epidemiologic evidence.” Notice the AND, meaning not simply a positive test. Yet what the media trumpets as “surging cases” are only positive tests. There is no discussion of whether or not any of the individuals with positive tests are showing symptoms or are actually sick

When Breonna Taylor died in a hail of police bullets, she joined the pantheon of Black Lives Matter martyrs, men such as George Floyd, Michael Brown, Jacob Blake, and Trayvon Martin. Initially, she seemed anomalous because she was not engaged in criminal activity or resisting arrest when she died. New evidence, though, shows that, in addition to her relationship with a drug dealing ex-boyfriend (which is what caught the police’s attention), the boyfriend who shot the police was also a drug dealer. Taylor hung out with the wrong people.

The left lives on “narrative.” In other words, it tells stories. It tells stories about race, gender, criminal violence, and a host of other things. Occasionally, these stories intersect with the facts, but more often than not, they don’t. (snip) Georgia H describes how, as a teacher, she was force-fed the narrative about systemic racism in America. However, when Georgia was actually in the classroom, and again when she was working as a nurse, there was a chasm between what she was told and what she knew to be true – and of course, a chasm between what she knew to be true and what she was allowed to say.
