WASHINGTON — A group of prominent Christians from both sides of the aisle, including a past faith advisor to President Obama, is forming a political action committee designed to chip away at Christian support for President Trump in the final weeks of the 2020 campaign. The new super PAC, dubbed Not Our Faith, plans to roll out TV and digital ads focused on Christian voters — particularly the evangelical and Roman Catholic voters who helped Trump secure victory in 2016. Its first digital ad, set to run in the battleground states of Michigan and Pennsylvania, takes sharp aim at Trump’s claim to a foothold with Christians. Correction*

Los Angeles Times: the local paper for me. They hate Trump with a passion. Don't believe a word they print. Good comics and crossword puzzles. The Irish Sports page(s) on Sunday isn't bad either.

I would put my religious trust into somebody who supported Trump vs one who caves to the world for worldly treasure. (Osteen anyone?) Anyone who is honestly Christian understands that no man is perfect, each man sins in his own way. But to assail the honesty of Trump, and his fighting for us against the Swamp, is not the mark of a Christian. What those people are would be better termed Churchians. They bow to the world, twist God's word from the Bible, all just like the Pharisees of old.
Wanna see somebody in the Bible who was very fallible and admitted it everyday? That would be a fellow named David, a man after God's own heart. It is the journey, not the sins along the way that makes us into better people. Churchians who embrace undermining their nation, immorality and those who practice it are going to have the most severe shock of their lives when God blows their stench out of His nostrils and tells them 'I do not know you'.

Is there anyone who is "Pro Biden"? Or are all these losers simply "anti-Trump"? If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for Biden or Trump, then you ain't Christian.

I find it extremely difficult to comprehend how any conscientious Christian off any denomination could vote Democrat today. The outright hostility that the Democrats have shown to Christian beliefs and culture, and their espousal of abortion up to and even after birth are barbaric. What Christian thinks this is a party they can follow and support?

I do not filter my Faith through the political lens that has been imposed on virtually everything else we see and do. That is reserved for Christ.

There are Christians and then there are Christians. I consider these cafeteria Christians who put politics over faith, CINOs. They like this part of christian doctrine, but don't like that part. I say quit calling yourselves Christians while advocating un-christian practices.

I don't think this Anti-Trump group will change any minds at this point in the Election! Also, if Obama's advisor (in this group) thought Abortion on Demand and killing unborn babies at the moment of Birth were okay, I don't think many "Christians" will take advice from this group! I think "Not Our Faith" maybe should read their Bibles before preaching to anyone else. I think True Christians will be offended that this Nor Our Faith group would spend their time trying to take down the President of our country. Maybe "Not Our Faith" really isn't OUR Faith, and we're happy it isn't! Go Away!

I wonder how many of these "Christians" are Loonytarians or similar kook sects.
An "Obama faith advisor," not sure if it was this clown, came to visit our pastor back in the dark early days of the Obama Administration. The meeting did not go or end well for the "Obama faith advisor." He never came back, and I can guarantee that our pastor ended up on Bathhouse's list.

FTA:
Among the PAC’s advisory council members are Michael Wear, a former faith advisor in Obama’s administration and reelection campaign, and Autumn Vandehei, a former aide to onetime Republican Rep. Tom DeLay of Texas. Wear said in an interview that Trump has “in a predatory way attached himself to Christians,” asserting that the faith would be “better off” without the president.
“Trump eked out 2016 with unprecedented support from white evangelicals and, important to note, a really strong showing among Catholics. We’re going after all of it,” Wear said. “We think Christian support is on the table in this election.”
Basically Wear’s baby. An Obot. Who’da thunk it?

Michael Wear needs to be shot down before he does any damage. His own website is the best place to start:
Michael Wear is a leading strategist, speaker and practitioner at the intersection of faith, politics and public life. He has advised a president, as well as some of the nation’s leading foundations, non-profits and public leaders, on some of the thorniest issues and exciting opportunities that define American life today. He has argued that the spiritual health and civic character of individuals is deeply tied to the state of our politics and public affairs.
As one of President Obama’s “ambassadors to America’s believers” (Buzzfeed), Michael directed faith outreach for President Obama’s historic 2012 re-election campaign. Michael was also one of the youngest White House staffers in modern American history: he served in the White House faith-based initiative during President Obama’s first term, where he led evangelical outreach and helped manage The White House’s engagement on religious and values issues, including adoption and anti-human trafficking efforts.
Today, Michael is also the founder of Public Square Strategies LLC, a sought-after firm that helps religious organizations, political organizations, businesses and others effectively navigate the rapidly changing American religious and political landscape. Michael previously served as Chief Strategist and member of the executive team for the AND Campaign, and is the co-author of Compassion and Conviction: The AND Campaign’s Guide to Faithful Civic Engagement, alongside Justin Giboney and Christopher Butler.

I thought they were up by 8-10 points in both of these states, why are they wasting the money and time then?
Biden's 2019 tax returns show he never contributed even $1 to a Catholic parish, which means he likely does not belong to any parish, thus, doubtful he's a "good" Catholic, as he claims.
I did see he donated $1200 for a Presbyterian church, however - he made nearly $1,000,000 but could only find $100/month, it seems.

They may call themselves Christians, but I don't think they are. If you don't support Trump then, by implication, you want Biden to be President. Biden an pro-murder of babies are synonymous terms. No Christian supports the murder of babies.

Rather judgmental, wouldn't you say? yea, it's all about political power, grasping, venal political power.
There are strong liberal and even marxist influences in a couple of Protestant denominations, especially Methodist where "good works" get you Salvation. Then there is Liberation Theology, at home in the Catholic church, really influential in South America, and it pops up all over the place here, too, and look at the current Pope.
So they don't really care about the President's eternal destination. They dare about enriching themselves with the thing so many have lusted for and have fallen because of: power over other people.
They keep bringing up what was a symbolic gesture when President went over to the historic church which the blm rioters had set on fire the night before.
By the way, our papers up here in NH and ME are also not independent any more, like what #1 says. They do not publish anything positive about our President, they publish only the harmful and hurtful, nasty Letters to the Editor. Clearly the editorial boards are lefties out of J-schools, they do not have real journalists on the payroll. I think this is probably the case in most papers. This makes it almost impossible to resist the daily propaganda onslaught, and people are harmed by not getting as objective reporting as humans can do.
Last thing on the "Christian" attack machine being formed, we were listening to a wonderful Church in Boston, online, last week and were shocked that in the Pastoral prayer there was no mention of praying for President Trump (they prayed for others), Scripture tells us to pray for our leaders that we may have a peaceable life, as much as it possible.
President Trump is not orthodox, he doesn't pretend to be, he admits his foibles, he has been grateful for the support of Christians. He has done more for Israel than any President other than Truman. He has protected religious expression; he certainly has done nothing to curtail or oppress any religious institution.
And, the express hatred toward President Trump. That really IS unChristian. They ought to repent. They ought to feed their flocks. They ought to humble themselves. They ought to introspect before condemning President Trump. God searches the heart.

Yep, vote for a party base that is trying to take God out of society and has no problem with abortion. What happened to the Greatest Commandment to love God with all your heart, mind and soul? What happened to love your neighbor as yourself? Not a very good way to treat that blessing and creation from God. . .

Hmm, wonder if this “aide” to Tom DeLay was part of his problems at the end of his career? Don’t think I’ll be basing my spiritual or political opinions, or my vote, on any “Christian” who supports abortion and advised a POTUS who stood for the political agenda of Barack Obama. But, neither will the religious opinions of President Trump’s “pastor” guide my religious beliefs or my vote.
