Four people are in a critical condition after being gunned down at a Los Angeles mansion party believed to have been held for an NFL player, says a report. A terrified partygoer filming as multiple shots rang out at the plush Beverly Crest pad said "a bunch of gangsters came in and robbed everybody and started shooting". The shooting occurred hours after cops were called to a gated community in Mulholland Drive, near Franklin Canyon Park, Officer Mike Lopez told Fox 11. As mobs push to tear down statues of George Washington across the country, author John Berlau points out that the first president and revolutionary general was clearly better than the era he lived in. Berlau joined “The Right Side of History” to discuss his new book “George Washington Entrepreneur: How Our Founding Father’s Business Pursuits Changed America and the World.” Berlau is an award-winning journalist, columnist for Forbes and Newsmax, and a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Washington not only excelled as a military commander and political leader, but the book explains he was also America’s first true entrepreneur.

The memo comes at a time when the United States has minimal strategic capabilities in the polar regions—there is not a single U.S. port in the Arctic capable of housing icebreaking ships.

The Democrats are obviously committed to using the COVID-19 pandemic as the latest pretext for achieving their longtime goal of widespread voting by mail. They may, however, end up outsmarting themselves. The Democrats are so invested in their revisionist history concerning Bush v. Gore that they have forgotten why SCOTUS actually stopped the Florida recounts on December 12, 2000. That was the “safe harbor” date after which the state’s electors may not have been counted. Federal law requires that states must resolve post-election disputes (e.g. recounts) within thirty-five days after Election Day or risk disfranchising their voters. In 2000, that would have changed the outcome of the presidential election.

The debate over Joe Biden’s running mate has recently ticked through a familiar list of stereotypes about women in politics as the Democratic presidential candidate and his allies stumble through a search they had hoped would stand out for its inclusion and diversity. Instead, the vice presidential vetting has resurfaced internal party divisions between the old-guard establishment and a younger generation that’s more attuned to gender and racial biases and willing to speak out. Some contend it’s just more evidence of why Biden needs a woman on his ticket.

So long as homocide doesn’t threaten the power or wealth of the governing party, murders are largely unsolved and are often committed by the very police who should be preventing them. As Business Insider reports, in Venezuela murders happen with “widespread impunity” because of “the complete [dysfunction] of the judicial system that allows for a significant degree of impunity for some, usually high-profile, offenders, and, as a result, disregard for the law, because it’s selectively applied.”
