Seen Her? Clearer video shows a woman assaulting a Staples customer in Hackensack, breaking the victim’s leg, after she asked the assailant to wear her coronavirus mask. Recognize her? Margot Kagan, 54, of Teaneck was using the fax/copy machine at the Hackensack Avenue store Wednesday afternoon when the suspect approached another machine with her face mask pulled below her mouth, Detective Capt. Darrin DeWitt said. Kagan, who’d had liver transplant surgery four months ago and was walking with a cane, said she asked the woman to put on her mask. The woman became angry and rushed at Kagan, pointing her finger,

NJ, always one of my favorite places on earth. S/O
I spent 2 years working there in the 6:15 AM I got to work before 8 AM. Going home - never got home earlier than 7 PM leaving as early as 5 or easier at 5:30. The “lovely” people of NJ showing their graciousness in ignoring the woman with the broken leg. Staples should be horrified at this video and any employees in it should be fired.

The USA has an ignorant, irresponsible and generally uncivilized population group, mainly in the inner city “communities”, and as the liberal Democrat politicians who have ruled the political roosts there keep surrendering to them, the danger from them will only get worse, especially as we can see to the old and vulnerable.

The assailant wasn't even wearing her mask correctly. Your nose is supposed to be under the mask too.
No one came to help the lady?

People have the right to be left alone. If you don't have a relationship with that person, it is not appropriate to correct them. Think otherwise? Try correcting someone else's kids.

I am dumfounded at the number of incidents with such grossly inappropriate/abusive/violent behavior. And it comes both from those who want to force others to use a mask as well as those who refuse to use a mask. If you don't want to wear a mask, don't go to a store that requires it. If you don't want to wear shoes or a shirt, don't demand to be let into a place that requires it. Good grief. I think the real pandemic these days is bad behavior bordering on mental illness. May God help us all.

While I am disgusted by the violent response, I really do wish people would mind their own business. If someone is in fear for their own health, and they see a behavior they think might threaten their health, they should keep their distance and even leave the place if they perceive the threat to be that menacing. Stop telling other people how to live their lives.

No one should get attacked, but the Karens need to stop it!
If you trust in masks, trust your mask to protect you.
If you don't trust in masks, you need to stay home!
What on earth was essential that required a trip to Staples (which will mail you their products)?
Democrats love to lecture and boss people around, and we are getting sick of it!!!!

To echo what others are saying here, you have responsibility for yourself and no on else. If the victim's health was compromised, she should stay home, not expect the public around her to defer to her wants and needs. It's simple freedom of choice. You're sick? Stay home. You want to wear a mask when out? Wear it. You choice. My choice.

I believe if I had a liver transplant recently I wouldn't be at a Staples making copies, nor would I attempt any exchange with morons.

People assaulting people all over the place these days is awful. There really is no excuse for it, people should simply walk away from the loud mouthed self-appointed hall monitor.
The real sad thing is that the woman, who is recovering from a liver recent liver transplant, patient believes...because she has has been told by medical professionals like Dr Fauci...that wearing a mask will "keep her safe." She should not be exposing herself to any strangers...masked or not. The common cold, much less Covid, is a potential killer.
As the result of her confrontation, she received an in her face response, an assault that resulted in a broken leg, which will probably lead to hospitalization, possibly a surgical repair, which will expose her to multiple hospital infections, additional exposure to the virus, and complications in her recovery from the transplant.
No excuse for the attack but maybe if she had simply streered clear of the woman and gotten out of there she'd be home and fine today.

There are bossy people who can’t mind their own business and mouth off. There are plain old busybodies who always have “helpful suggestions” and mouth off. There are organ transplant recipients who fear for their health, go out in public anyway and mouth off. Mouthing off does not justify a physical attack especially on someone smaller or weaker. If we can call bossy obnoxious white women “Karen’s” what about violent foul-mouthed black women? May I suggest “Shaniqua’s”.

Personally, the woman had a right to defend herself against wacky Karen that started the entire thing about the other woman's lack of mask. The wacky Karen made a decision to approach and condemn the woman not wearing a mask. That woman probably told her to mind her own business. Then the wacky Karen picked up cane and started poking or putting in this woman. The wacky Karen was luck that the woman did not grab the cane from her and beat her with it. I have no sympathy for that wacky Karen.

Moral of the story....Quit trying to dictate to other people what they should do. Just because you believe that masks can protect you (they can't) gives you no right to force your sheeple ideas on others.

If masks are so effective why do both people have to wear them when two people are together? Why do we have to social distance if masks are effective? Has anyone seen the specifications for the government mandated masks? There aren't any.

If you're going to play Mask Nazi you are responsible for the consequences. There are less painful ways to commit suicide.

Certainly this is uncalled for on the part of the masked woman...an employee? But, notice the "victim" immediately brings her cane up into the chest of the masked woman...and that's when the real hilarity ensued. Others may see it differently...

Right now it is not a good idea to confront anyone about anything. Whether or not others wear or don't wear a mask is none of my business. I am anti-mask but wear one when required; now that I'm in my 70's I definitely do not want to be confronted by some insane Ken or Karen who is capable of inflicting bodily harm on me if they wanted. Perhaps if I were younger I might give the other person a piece of my mind if I chose not to wear a mask but now I subscribe to "discretion is the better part of valor".

People have been locked up too long and have turned surly. However, some people have felt entitled by the color of their skin, but that has nothing to do with the lock down and has more to do with "it's payback time."

If you had liver transplant surgery four months ago......STAY HOME. It is not everyone else's responsibility to change THEIR behavior because YOU have a PERSONAL problem.

1st: She WAS wearing a mask - a face shield. Probably better than a mask.
2nd: Who goes up to an old woman of any race and throws her to the floor? The raised cane was definitely NOT being used as a weapon.
3rd: None of the employees went to help her. NONE. Fire them and sue their asses off! And sue Staples.
4th: Find that assailant and make sure she pays for all the damage she's done. Probably will think its more 'white privilege', but I don't care. You don't DO that.

If people are so afraid of this virus, why don't THEY stay home to keep themselves safe? What makes them think they can force or even expect others to keep them safe? People are really selfish. That said, respect your elders, even when they're wrong. Chances are, you'll live longer. This girl obviously hates her grandmother, if she has one. I would never disrespect an older person, because one, I was raised right, and two, I adored my grandmother, and I would think of her before I attempted to hurt (again, never would unless absolutely necessary) an elderly person. Shameful all the way around here.

A couple months we were worrying about the destruction of the nation by race wars and CommieAnarchists.
Now it is mask wars that are destroying civility, common decency and common sense.. Even supposed conservatives and libertarians are at each others throats over the stupid dang masks .
Not that I think that either of the women involved in this ridiculous event might be even remotely conservative or libertarian.

That was a fight waiting to happen. The older woman tried to kick the black woman when she went by again.
I have to confess what happened yesterday. When I went in the local dollar store, two kids were screaming and running down the isles while the mother and a grandmother did nothing. The cashier was working on her last nerve and trying to get them to stop. When I got on the same isle, they were still screaming. I said "I have a headache and they are just tired. Stop it right now" Not sure if the kids or grandma was the most afraid, but it stopped. Imagine when they become teens and uncontrollable.

In return for tearing down old monuments, redesigning product labels, renaming sports teams, having cities destroyed by rioting, having people fired from their jobs over past behaviors, canceling long-running TV shows, and all the other overreactions we've had during our Great Leap Backward, is it too much to ask that African freedmen stop violently attacking "Karens" over the slightest provocation?
