If he was killed for his activism, I am sorry. Sit back kids, the old man has one for you.. I am in my first assignment in Korea (the 80's or close to it) and having been a brat, I'm not shy around rank. A Captain (O-3 engineer) came out to do some technical stuff(skip the details..get on) I was assigned to help him in any way possible (E-2), We needed to work at night so the conversation became less formal as time went on. ONE night we had discussed the Vietnam war in relation to the protesters back home. I asked, I wonder what became of them? His response stuck with me through my entire life... They grew up. Folks this child MAY have grown up one day, the 20 somethings in Portland and Seattle may yet grow up. In fairness, I was closer to 30 before it all clicked and I was a responsible person from about 21 on. Sometimes I really do think a 2 yr commitment to service isn't a horrible idea, but then, I wouldn't want to be a DI. :)

Thousands of New York City residents fled Manhattan and Brooklyn earlier this year when the city was the COVID-19 epicenter of the world.
