CNN Becomes Unhinged Because Trump

CNN has made a name for themselves as one of the most anti-Trump networks out there. After all, they heavily pushed "Russia! Russia! Russia!" When Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no collusion took place between the Trump campaign and Russia, CNN focused their coverage on Ukraine and a supposed quid pro quo. Then it was impeachment. Anything that is anti-Trump can be found on CNN. So it's no surprise that one of their photographers captured pictures of President Trump golfing *GASP* without a mask on Saturday. Not only was he golfing with a few other people but he was riding in his own golf cart.

Allegheny County, Pennsylvania — home to the city of Pittsburgh and its surrounding suburbs — has settled a lawsuit directing officials to clean up voter registration rolls. Representatives of the elections watchdog said researchers discovered almost 1,600 dead registrants, nearly 7,500 with erroneous data, and more than 1,500 who were older than 100 years —

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to play out and Americans see many of their leaders adopting draconian lockdowns, mandating business closures, and implementing additional policies that seem to run afoul of the Constitution, scores are concerned about what a ‘new normal’ may look like. And not everyone is going to like it. On Friday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham addressed the issue with renowned futurist Dr. James Canton, who suggested that major social and cultural changes would be needed in order to “rebuild trust” among Americans who harbor lingering doubts and fears about the COVID-19 outbreak. “We are going to need to rebuild trust in the community. The White House announced this week that President Trump and first lady Melania Trump will travel to Baltimore to visit the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) denounced Joe Biden’s assertion Friday that “you ain’t black” if voters might not support him over President Donald Trump, saying the former vice president’s comments were just further indication Democrats take the black community for granted. Scott, one of the most high-profile black elected officials within the Republican Party, took to social media shortly after Biden appeared for an interview on the Breakfast Club, a popular radio program, and made the controversial remarks. “1.3 million black Americans already voted for Trump in 2016,” Scott wrote. “This morning, Joe Biden told every single one of us we ‘ain’t black.’
Retracting My Claim that Andrew Cuomo

Based on new facts, I have no choice but to officially retract my earlier statement that Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) should not be held responsible for any coronavirus deaths. Unfortunately, Cuomo is directly responsible for a number of coronavirus deaths. Possibly thousands. My earlier assumption was based on a sound premise: there’s nothing we can do about plagues. Like floods, tornadoes, and other natural disasters, this is the price we pay to live in the natural world. To blame a politician, or anyone, for a single death caused by a virus is obscene. Further, in the event of a plague, all we can expect from our government is to avoid triage.

The nation’s economy is on track to drop by more than 30% in the second quarter. Unemployment is well into the double digits. Half of small businesses might close in the next six months. All for naught, it would appear, giving the growing pile of evidence that the economic lockdowns didn’t work. The latest evidence comes from a report out of JP Morgan Chase & Co. this week. It finds that there’s been no increase in cases or deaths as other nations and U.S. states start reopening. This flies directly in the face of all the public health expert predictions

It is obvious the Democrats are using the Coronavirus as an excuse to push for mail-in ballots rather than in-person voting in an effort to steal the 2020 election.House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has repeatedly tried to sneak in federal ballot harvesting laws into several of the Coronavirus stimulus bills. Pelosi is now trying to shove a $3.6 billion ‘vote-by-mail’ proposal into the latest Coronavirus stimulus bill. “First of all, we’re now calling it ‘Voting at Home’ because that’s really what it’s all about, enabling people to vote at home,”

San Fransisco is giving homeless encampments the social distance treatment. The city is joining others around the world in begrudgingly authorizing its homeless encampments by marking safely distanced spaces for tents and other makeshift shelters. In San Fransisco’s Civic Center, about 80 tents are now lined in tidy rows on a wide street near San Francisco City Hall, part of a “safe sleeping village” opened last week. The village is one of two Mayor London Breed has planned to open, with another coming to the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.

Ratcliffe will replace Richard Grenell, who has been the acting director — Grenell has held the post since February, while retaining his role as U.S. ambassador to Germany.Unfortunately, for Democrats, Ratcliff is expected to maintain the same commitment to transparency as Grenell, who reinforced that stance in a Twitter dust-up with Rep. Swalwell, a failed Democratic presidential hopeful best known for appearing to loudly pass gas on live television, leveled baseless accusations that Grenell and Ratcliffe are protecting the president.

An extensive National Review cover article by Andrew Roberts asserts that “we must teach Western Civilization.” He is correct that Western Civ should be taught, and not just as an exercise in the self-flagellation of critical theory. But studying our cultural heritage without living it is only intellectual embalming, and some champions of Western civilization may prefer it that way. Preserving Western Civilization requires living it. This distinction between information about a tradition and living it is obvious in religion, in which study does not in itself instill belief. Unlike instruction at the local parish school, a secular college’s religious studies course is not meant to inculcate Catholic belief and behavior,

That’s better than Britain’s National Health Service or the healthcare systems of France, Belgium, Canada, Italy, Spain, Ireland, or Sweden, among others. But there are limits to how quickly commercial and economic life can resume because no government snap of the fingers can restore life to the way it was. Customer-facing businesses, in particular, can resume commercial activity only to the extent

At the bottom of the Russian hoax story is a tale of narcissism: Hillary Clinton’s shock at losing the election, the media’s shock at being wrong and less capable of manipulation that they thought, and, importantly, Barack Obama’s shock that his priorities — all of them, but most of all the Iran Deal — would be swept away as so much ideological detritus. Memorial Day 2020 will be a weekend of cancellations—most parades and picnics must wait until next year. Typically, Memorial Day weekend marks an annual pilgrimage to cemeteries, where volunteers, families, and friends decorate the graves of those who defended our nation. This year, many of the fallen won’t receive their annual visitors. In Hazleton, Pennsylvania, though, my family’s hometown, the tradition will go on this year, despite Covid-19’s impact on this mountaintop city, which, at one point, was a virus hotspot. New York- Hertz filed for bankruptcy Friday night, the latest victim of the sudden economic downturn sparked by the Covid-19 pandemic. The company has been renting cars since 1918, when it set up shop with a dozen Ford Model Ts, and has survived the Great Depression, the virtual halt of US auto production during World War II and numerous oil price shocks. By declaring bankruptcy, Hertz says it intends to stay in business while restructuring its debts and emerging a financially healthier company. "The impact of Covid-19 on travel demand was sudden and dramatic, causing an abrupt decline in the company's revenue and future bookings," said the company's statement.

China is currently transgressing the terms of its 1997 treaty over Hong Kong, which promised a “one country, two systems” settlement that preserved Hong Kong’s somewhat autonomous democratic institutions. These institutions guarantee rights to Hong Kongers and guard its common-law inheritance. China’s legislature in Beijing is preparing a new national-security law aimed at Hong Kong to prohibit and punish terrorism, foreign influence, and secession. By that, they mean demonstration, free speech, and a functioning democratic system with rights guaranteed to citizens. Meanwhile, Beijing’s loyalists installed in Hong Kong’s legislative council have been making open attempts at a putsch against the pro-democracy majority.

Stay-home orders that extend too long could cause the U.S. “irreparable damage,” Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday. Strict crackdowns on large gatherings and other orders, such as for home quarantines, were needed when the coronavirus first hit the nation, but those rules can now begin to be lifted in many parts of the country, Fauci said during an interview on CNBC. “I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” the member of the White House coronavirus task force said.
