The Senate voted along party lines Thursday to confirm Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, as President Trump’s director of National Intelligence. Ratcliffe will replace Richard Grenell, who has been the acting director — Grenell has held the post since February, while retaining his role as U.S. ambassador to Germany.Unfortunately, for Democrats, Ratcliff is expected to maintain the same commitment to transparency as Grenell, who reinforced that stance in a Twitter dust-up with Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif. Swalwell, a failed Democratic presidential hopeful best known for appearing to loudly pass gas on live television, leveled baseless accusations that Grenell and Ratcliffe are protecting the president.

This is like a not-so-instant replay against a dishonest ref. The ref falsely calls the play. Then Grenell says, "Let's go to the tape.". The dishonest ref is exposed and embarrassed.
The advent of instant replay must have been like this for dishonest refs. They must have hated it. Dems are used to them and their propaganda media calling the plays. The FIX was in. Now, their rigged game is falling apart but they are too corrupt and dumb to understand that the jig is up and that their back room book making is on candid camera.
Only the most venal liars, like BO and Schiffty, can stand in front of a camera with the truth known and smoothly continue to lie. Most dems, like Nasty Pelousy, just look and sound like idiots.

As has been noted, Amb Grenell is indeed a National Treasure. However, how easy for anyone to smoke Poor Eric. He’s a First Class Moron and National Embarrassment.

I watched and listened to Swalwell at the hearings. I was not at all impressed.

Ambassador Grenell has done a fine job representing us in Germany, but I'd like to see him stay in Washington.

Ric Grenell Has done an excellent job as interim DNI Director. He takes no prisoners and I hope that the President has a plum job somewhere in the intelligence community in mind for him. He is trustworthy and that quality is in short supply in the cesspool that’s is Washington DC. Plus, he gets it and is willing to do what it takes to flush out the criminals embedded in the deep state. Thank you for your service so far, Mr. Grenell. You have exceeded expectations.

It really wasn't a fair fight. Gas bag wasn't armed, he literally has Schiff for brains and he's so stupid that he doesn't know Grenell owned him.

It's a horrible thing when the only thing you are remembered for is passing gas on camera but that is Swalwell's legacy other than that he's an airhead pea brained idiot.

There is no reason now not to release the transcripts of the Flynn telephone calls with the Russian Ambassador. Anyone who has had dealings with the Russians knows that the Russian intelligence services almost certainly recorded the calls, so the Russian Government knows the content of those calls. Democrats saying that the transcripts must remain classified to protect intelligence sources and methods does not hold water.
Those transcripts will show the American public if Flynn had a motive to lie to the FBI that already had the transcripts in hand at the time the FBI interviewed Flynn. Since the FBI already had the transcripts they knew exactly what Flynn and the Russian Ambassador talked about on the telephone, so if the FBI knew that, what could their motive have been in interviewing Flynn? Obviously to set up Flynn in a so-called perjury trap by finding a discrepancy in what Flynn told the FBI, that was supposedly different then the exact language Flynn used in the telephone call, a finding that would almost certainly be immaterial and unnecessary in normal times, as the FBI already knew the content of the actual call.
Why would the FBI do that? To ensure that Flynn lost his National Security Advisor position in the Trump White House as was then President Barack Obama’s clear objective all along, as Obama in a meeting with President-elect Trump warned Trump not to hire Flynn on as his National Security Advisor.
What really went on between Flynn and the FBI during the interview is uncertain as the original FBI report (302) of the interview has gone “missing” if you can believe that, with only a later edited version of that report now available. The next move in this political fiasco is obviously to release the telephone transcripts that will tell the true story.

Swalwell is bucking for Schiff's position when Schiff is not re elected and he is eminently qualified.
