Fauci says extended stay-home orders
could cause ‘irreparable damage’

Stay-home orders that extend too long could cause the U.S. “irreparable damage,” Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday. Strict crackdowns on large gatherings and other orders, such as for home quarantines, were needed when the coronavirus first hit the nation, but those rules can now begin to be lifted in many parts of the country, Fauci said during an interview on CNBC. “I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” the member of the White House coronavirus task force said.

wa state has 13000 hospital beds and only 332 r occupied by covid patients. a FEMA hospital was sent away. why is washington still locked down. simple the governor hates trump so much he doesnt care how much he damages his residents. the usdoj needs to slap these fascists to make them understand that we the people have a constitution and we did the job to slow the spread and prevent the system from being overwhelmed. the governors draconian measures are alynski like to ensure that the system is overwhelmed and radical change to our society can be made. he should have to prove the people wrong at this point that his cure is not worse than the disease.

Fauci's "I voted for the bill before I voted against the it" moment would be funny if it wasn't so stunningly tragic. President Trump, therefore a nation of some 350 million listened to this guy when he said you've got to shut down the country. He was the master and the scarf queen was flown in from wherever she was in Africa to lead the nation in this battle with the "invisible enemy." Their scorecard: nearly 40 million people unemployed; countless people who have not received needed medical treatment are in for God knows what kind of horror over the next year; kids' brains and psyches are scrambled with this all encompassing fear to which they've been exposed. And now, NOW it's like well if we keep the country shutdown irreparable harm could be done? Honey bun, you have already caused irreparable harm. I said a few weeks back, our beloved President was rolled. He listened to the experts. He had little choice when faced with what we now know is a fake number of 2.2 million dead. But he ain't never gonna be rolled again. Thank God he is President. This country will come back because with his strength, determination and fearlessness, he'll WILL it back. I don't ever want to hear the phrase again, listen to the scientists. They are as corrupt and lame as the media.

Short version of my usual long screed: The death rates predicted for Covid-19 were idiotic from day one. They relied on Case Fatality Rate (cases confirmed positive who die). This was nonsense even then. The people being tested were the sickest, so the confirmed positives were the most likely to die. If you actually read the Imperial College's February 11th article, they make it pretty clear that they don't know what they're talking about. This is the biggest mistake in human history, and we will be paying for it for a long time. I don't blame President Trump at all. Most presidents make at least one major error before they learn to stop trusting the "experts." This is his Bay of Pigs Invasion. Hopefully, our President has learned a valuable lesson about listening to people who don't know what they're talking about.

The governing of nations cannot be left in the hands of doctors. This was just a bad case of the flu blown out of proportion by bad doctors. All models were wrong, just as the global warming ones are. The death rates are vastly inflated because Medicare pays 39K per death and you do not need a positive test to sign off the death certificate as determined by the CDC. In the meantime the NIH in Bethesda is deserted, with all scientists staying at home under their beds. The CDC, NIH and WHO need a spring cleaning. Fauci is a walking USA demolition crew. He single-handedly challenged President Trump on Hydroxychloroquine which was the cure. Too late now, epidemics disappear with the summer. Happy Memorial Day!

I can't recall just where but I just read yesterday an on line posting on which compared how Cuomo and DeSantis dealt with this "crisis". I do know that the criticism of DeSantis, who kept his state pretty much open (opened beaches and entertainment venues, etc.) that he was "killing senior citizens" quickly paled when the 28,000 deaths in Cuomo's New York, many in Nursing Homes where Cuomo FORCED them to take in Covid-19 patients, and where the infected quickly infected the uninfected. Yet, surprise, surprise, the media glorified the butcher, Cuomo and condemned Florida's Governor.

All during Reagan, GHWBush, and Clinton we were told heterosexual aids was going to kill all of us. It was never ending propaganda. It only finally faded out about 2000 when it was undeniable that it was pretty much a gay disease. I remember Clinton's Surgeon General Joycelyn Elders sitting there testifying to congress that we were all going to die. No one was going to be left alive. When I was a kid there was always someone on one of the downtown streets with a sign that said the world was going to end. It was based on religion. But it was the same fanaticism, the same mental illness, the same insanity. .

A shift to mail voting is increasing the chances that Americans will not know the winner of November’s presidential race on election night, a scenario that is fueling worries about whether President Donald Trump will use the delay to sow doubts about the results. State election officials in some key battleground states have recently warned that it may take days to count what they expect will be a surge of ballots sent by mail out of concern for safety amid the pandemic. In an election as close as 2016's, a delayed tally in key states could keep news organizations from calling a winner.

Thursday on MSNBC, former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett said because there is “de minimis vote fraud in our country,” we “should have vote-by-mail in every state.” Jarrett said, “This week, we launched Civic Cities, where we are working with mayors across the country. I started in local government, so I appreciate how mayors really do have a touch on what’s happening in the communities. They are extremely influential. So I asked them to help us engage with the constituents they have. We have 31 mayors off the bat. Many more joined on since then. We’re working in high schools because people who are first-time voters tend to be lifelong voters.

George Floyd's death in police custody is renewing criticism of Sen. Amy Klobuchar's (D-Minn.) prosecutorial record. Before she became a senator and a top contender for former Vice President Joe Biden's vice presidential spot, Klobuchar spent eight years as the Hennepin County attorney, in charge of prosecution for Minneapolis. And while in that position, Klobuchar declined to prosecute multiple police officers cited for excessive force, including the officer who kneeled on Floyd's neck as he protested, The Guardian reports. Ex-Minneapolis police officer Derick Chauvin saw at least 10 conduct complaints during his 19-year tenure before he was fired Tuesday, according

Joe is a friend of mine. I don’t know T.J. Klausutis. Joe can weather vile, baseless accusations but T.J.? His heart is breaking. Enough already,” Romney tweeted.

Chuck Hagel, a former GOP senator and Obama administration Defense secretary, says he's voting for Democrat Joe Biden over Republican Donald Trump in November. Hagel said during an interview with AL-Monitor's On the Middle East podcast that his choice is based on the belief that America continues to lose sight of its mission in Iraq and perhaps the entire Middle East. "We can't afford to just abandon Iraq," Hagel told show host Andrew Parasiliti. "I don't think our continued role should be to fight ISIS," on an indefinite basis.

As the “official” tally of COVID-19 deaths tops 100,000 in the U.S., we keep hearing how that number is likely a low-ball estimate. But there’s far more evidence that the death count has been knowingly exaggerated – possibly by a very wide margin. A recent Seattle Times article pretty much lays out the charade going on. The headline reads: “Washington state’s actual coronavirus death toll may be higher than current tallies, health officials say.” But the story itself leads one to the exact opposite conclusion. Well down in the article, the reporter reveals that: “The rapid onslaught of this coronavirus forced

There’s a great deal to be upset about regarding the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police officers under color of authority, but it’s quite another thing for protesters to turn into rioters and steal stuff under cover of righteous indignation. That’s what happened in Minneapolis Wednesday night after Police Chief Medaria Arradondo announced that four police officers involved in the stop on Sunday night were fired. Floyd died in custody Sunday night after getting stopped for forgery. Floyd was held down at his neck by an officer using his knee. Onlookers recorded the hold for minutes as Floyd protested he couldn’t breathe

One might think that MSNBC might give Rev. Al Sharpton the day off when the hot topic is protesters burning down buildings. In 1995, Sharpton's protest against the "white interloper" who ran Freddy's Fashion Mart in Harlem led to a fire where seven people died of smoke inhalation (and the arsonist shot himself). Discussing the rioting in Minneapolis on today's Morning Joe, Al Sharpton began by telling protesters that the goal of a fair criminal justice system wouldn't be achieved by "appearing" to be criminal themselves. He warned that people would "exploit" that. A clearly upset Sharpton then said: "As I walked around Minneapolis yesterday . . .
