Baltimore Mayor Doubles Down: Trump’s
‘Violating the Law’ with Memorial Day Visit

Original Article

Baltimore Mayor Jack Young (D) is once again demanding President Donald Trump scrap his planned visit to the city on Memorial Day, arguing that he believes the trip is against the law, citing the city’s stay-at-home order still being in place due to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. “We don’t need to be spending our resources for the president who’s coming here under our orders to stay at home. I think he’s violating the law,” Young said, according to CBS News Baltimore. The White House announced this week that President Trump and first lady Melania Trump will travel to Baltimore to visit the Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine.

From day 1, I refused to "stay at home". Yes, I did avoid getting close to people and handling objects that others had handled. I get shutting down large venues to slow the spread, i.e, concerts and sporting events. But shutting down everything was and is a mistake. POTUS can go wherever he likes. People who underwent or are going thru chemotherapy have practiced social distancing before it was a thing. A simple cold when your immune system is shot can be miserable and painful at best, fatal at worst.

Like #2, we never stayed at home and cowered in our basement. Yes, at first this Chinese Flu was scary because we were told so many outrageous lies about it. We kept our distance from most people, and still kind of do that, but we refuse to wear masks. This has gone on too long. And President Trump can go to Baltimore if he wants to, but not sure why anyone would want to visit this formerly great city that is now a rat and drug gang infested hellhole!

Hogan is not exactly a conservative Republican or he would never have been elected in Maryland. And he has DC and Coonman Northam’s Virginia right next door so he does pretty much what they are doing. And, Mayor Young, an order is just an order. It’s not a law, so PDT is not “violating the law”. As a mayor, you should know the difference, but your power madness is in the way.

Fort McHenry is Federal property - it is a unit of the National Park Service, which is a division of the Department of the Interior, which is a Cabinet level component of the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. As head of the Executive Branch, the President is entitled to visit Federal property any time he wishes, The small, insignificant mayor of Balmore can take his threats and shove them you-know-where.

An election for mayor is going on in Baltimore and this clown isn't even in the top three. He got to be the current mayor because the last one was caught for some crime (I can't remember what the crime was) and sentenced to jail. His current edict, has Baltimore shutdown until the end of August. The current crop of corrupt contenders for mayor includes a former mayor caught stealing gift cards for the needy(currently leading in the polls), an Obozo devotee, and about eight or nine other democrats spouting the same message. There are as far as I know, no Republican candidates for the position of mayor in Baltimore. The media has had several debates, and each candidate tries to out socialist the other. They all agree on one thing, and that is the police are the problem and they need to be reformed. I don't even know why anyone would want to visit this place. I go to work there, and leave four hours earlier than I'm supposed to just to get out of town before it gets dark.

I’m with #10. Chances are President Trump and his companions will arrive by US Marine helicopter and land, take part in the ceremony, and then depart by helicopter all on Federal property at Fort McHenry. So the Mayor should just get back to his job of mismanaging his city and ensuring that the sewers are plugged up.

The Supreme Court should not require President Trump to release his tax returns on several grounds. There is not one good reason for his tax return to be released, and far too many why they should not. In addition, the Supreme Court should not vote along party lines on this issue. This should be a unanimous vote in order to send a message that the release of these documents would set a dangerous precedent. Without getting into whether it is unconstitutional or not; for sake of argument let’s just assume it is not. All the problems that can occur cannot be foreseen.

Stats now show that the mortality rate for the coronavirus is hardly more than the seasonal flu. And when this is all over, it may even be less. Trump was right all along. But the left mocked him as they elevated Dr. Anthony Fauci to sainthood. It turns out, this “expert” deceived us all. The mortality rate for the coronavirus dropped from WHO’s estimate of 3.4% to 2% to Fauci claiming it was 1%, and therefore ten times deadlier than the seasonal flu. (He plucked the 1% figure out of thin air, since there was insufficient data to make such a claim).

To hear the mainstream media tell it, President Trump is somehow paranoid at Michigan's latest gambit to mail absentee voting applications to all registered voters in the state. Here's the selectively distorted reporting from the Detroit News (emphasis mine): President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday to attack Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's plan to send absentee ballot applications to qualified Michigan voters ahead of the August and November elections. The president threatened federal funding for Michigan and erroneously said Benson planned to send absentee ballots, when the Detroit Democrat instead plans to send voters applications for the ballots ahead of the elections.

In the United States, we don’t have kings or queens of any variety. Still, some judges apparently think they are philosopher-kings, and an order released Tuesday by a federal district court judge in Texas shows he may be in that group. Judge Fred Biery’s order that state officials allow mail-in voting for all eligible voters in upcoming elections seems totally disconnected from the law and reads like a manifesto from a wannabe philosopher-king, complete with rhetorical flourishes, endnotes, and appendices. There are many issues with the opinion. First, issues of Texas state law are still working their way through Texas state courts—

It's a sentiment captured long before the outset of the coronavirus pandemic when the public became sharply aware of the gaps in our supply chains. Oregon famously voted in the 1990s to go to a vote-by-mail-only system for all of its elections. In Oregon’s federal and state primary elections this past Tuesday, a number of voters received the wrong ballot. Many center-right observers say that the number of errors has spiked in 2020, and have sought answers to the problem. Oregon has a closed primary election, meaning that voters who don’t register to vote with a party cannot vote in that party’s primary for state or federal candidates. Anecdotal reports have flooded in that indicate non-affiliated voters have received ballots to vote in the Democratic primary, incorrectly allowing them to vote in the presidential primary.
