FBI Director Christopher Wray on Friday ordered an internal investigation of the case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn.
The move follows the Justice Department’s decision this month to drop its prosecution of Flynn, who pleaded guilty in late 2017 to lying to the FBI. President Trump alleges the Flynn case was part of a conspiracy by “dirty cops” to “take down” his presidency.
“FBI Director Christopher Wray today ordered the Bureau’s Inspection Division to conduct an after-action review of the Michael Flynn investigation,” the FBI said in a statement first reported by Fox News.

Internal investigation is not good enough. Bring a group from the outside in to investigate.

an "internal" probe - it is the old, "let's keep it in house" strategy again.

This loser should not be allowed to investigate anything. I will never understand why he was put in his current position. He was (and is) part of the original Obama swamp creatures who tried to oust Trump. He should not be allowed access to any FBI documents that he could destroy to cover for himself and his buddies. He probably has already done this. He should be fired immediately and check his pockets before he leaves !!

Wray, you are a little late to the rodeo. We all know what happened and for the most part who did it. All we need now is some justice.
I suggest we let Rick Grennel conduct the investigation.

Let me save you some effort. Nobody did anything wrong, especially those who have dirt on the Klinton crime family. Everything is hunky dory. Nothing to see here.

I don't trust a word any FBI agent or FBI leader utters from their lying dishonest mouths. They have become nothing but corrupt to the bone Democrat "Jack Booted Thugs" like the Brown Shirts of Hitler. It's time to completely replace and restructure the FBI from the bottom to the top. They are nothing but a national disgrace.

It's like the Fox investigating the chickens in the Chicken Coop! Wray should be fired Now! He has dragged his feet every inch of the way since he was appointed Director. He is a Deep Stater! I nominate Ric Grennel to clean out the FBI!

Wasn't Wray brought in to clean up the soiled reputation of the FBI when he arrived? He has failed. He needs to be removed. An outside group or person is needed if the FBI is to rehab itself after 8 years of Obama/Comey.

This takes the pressure off Lindsey Graham to hold his hearings on the Flynn fiasco in June since he has said numerous times he will not interfere with any investigation.

I believe the FBI has so destroyed its reputation that a total dismantling and rebuilding is essential. Wray could have done it but chose to remain loyal to the Deep State. Therefore, he should be fired for dereliction of duty. It was his responsibility to investigate his agency and you would think that would have been a high priority for him so that the people would regain their trust in the organization. What guys like him are doing is waiting to see if the deep state can take out Trump. They certainly do not want to be seen as supporting the President if by some chance he loses his bid for re-election because the retribution will be swift and sure. This is the rankest form of loyalty. Wray just has to go. My preference would be without a severance package, his cushy pension and whatever other perks he has. Letting these criminals off the hook to go home and enjoy the benefits we the people have paid for is just another slap in the face for the American taxpayer. Look at Lois Lerner. What price did she pay for using the IRS against conservative political groups? Has she suffered? This is exactly why the American people despise the government. It cannot police itself and rewards the criminal element within.

Now the cat enters the litter box what do you think the cat does once inside. Internal investigation means nothing to see here so move along. The bank robber investigates the bank heist that he was part of how clever is that? What a freaking joke.

OK!
I want to know..... Who got the Contract to supply the WhiteWash?
walcb (#11) I think you're on to something.
Lindsey is always TALKING about doing something, but he never DOES anything.
Just as they used the Muller 'shamvestigation' to stall the truth coming out for what..... 3 years?... this gives Graham an excuse to not do anything ..... so as to 'not interfere'..... for as long as Wray SAYS they are 'investigating'.
Wake me when Zero, the HildeBeast and all the REST of the CROOKS are in fancy matching black-and-white striped jumpsuits with nice shiny 'connected bracelets' for accent.

#11 nails it! Old "nobody can do nothin' until the investigation is complete" dodge.
It's especially meaningless because it only looks at current employees. Most of the criminals are gone. But that won't stop Lindsey from using it to delay. He has to protect himself, McCain, and the other crooks in DC

Add Director Wray to the "human scum" at the FBI. It is now coming out that there was never a "transcript" of a Flynn-Kislyak call. The existence of this transcript was an FBI lie. It was used (along with a threat to prosecute Flynn's son) to get Flynn's guilty plea for "lying to the FBI". Wray, the DOJ Mueller gang and many others (including some Republicans) have known this from the beginning. Yet, they allowed Flynn to be destroyed and our President to be misled by Comey et al. Wray should be fired immediately for his part in this conspiracy.

FBI chief Christopher Wray opens internal probe of Michael Flynn case, or so he SAYS. There, fixed your headline. You needn't think this will bless General Flynn in any way.
Historic note: J. Edgar was right to ride those guys like a rented mule.

Cripes, with all the new procedures and training that the folks who DIDN'T abuse their powers have to take to satisfy Faye Wray's concern, how do they solve any crimes at the FBI?

Seems to me they need to include the prosecutors office at DOJ. Misconduct by that office seems to be a day to day operation. How many other cases have they violated the judicial process?

I heard Gowdy last night say something about "what will he investigate next, John Wilkes Booth?"
Yep, a bit late.
Wray needs to be gone very soon after the election and I thing Grennell would be an excellent acting
head of the FBI.

The primary investigative tool to be used will be a burn barrel and the 'delete' key ......to make sure that all the related records are just "somehow missing".

While Barack Obama was claiming after he was elected that he was going to transform America, all he succeeded in doing was to destroy the professional reputations of the CIA and the FBI by putting political hacks in the positions of Director of the CIA and FBI.
The FBI essentially consists of two levels, FBI Headquarters in DC where all the politicized super bureaucrats are assigned and housed, and the many FBI Field Offices located all over the country where the street level FBI agents and their supervisors are assigned to conduct counterintelligence and criminal investigations.
If they really want to take DC politics out of the way the FBI operates, they must prohibit any future counterintelligence or criminal investigations from being run out of FBI Headquarters by the super bureaucrats, and leave all such investigations to the Field Offices to assign, supervise, and run.
