On Thursday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., told a school choice activist in Atlanta that she had sent both of her children to public school. On Friday, her campaign told a different story.
In a video that was originally uploaded on social media, Sarah Carpenter of the Powerful Parent Network challenged Warren's opposition to charter schools, at one point saying: "We are going to have the same choice that you had for your kids because I read that your children went to private schools."
"My children went to public schools," Warren told Carpenter.

Felix Antonio Juarez-Antunez, a 35-year-old illegal alien, is accused of killing 15-year-old Ethan Handley and 65-year-old Marjory Howell Wagner while allegedly driving drunk at 90 mph in a 45 mph zone in Smithfield, North Carolina.
Jaurez-Antunez also allegedly injured Hailey Wagner — a newly crowned teen beauty queen in Garner, North Carolina — and her brother, Stephen. Both are in stable condition but suffered severe neck injuries.
A South Carolina school district is apologizing for the way boys and girls were treated differently at an event about leadership and character for elementary school students. The Pickens Elementary School in Pickens, South Carolina, came under fire after it posted a series of photos on Facebook from a school event on November 19. The images showed that the students - third through fifth graders - had been divided up by gender, with boys participating in one set of activities and girls doing another set.

On Friday morning, President Donald Trump told Fox & Friends that spygate — the Obama administration's surveillance on the Trump campaign during the 2016 election based on the false pretense of Trump being in league with Russia — will be "perhaps the biggest scandal in the history of our country." He said Attorney General Bill Barr's investigation of FISA abuses and U.S. Attorney John Durham's criminal investigation will prove "historic," and he predicted that the investigations will implicate former President Barack Obama himself.

In an interview with AP News, Mr Barr said the jailhouse suicide, which came as Epstein awaited trial, was due to a "series" of mistakes.

A quick-thinking Ohio woman pretended to order a pizza — but was really calling 911 — to save her mother from an alleged abuser, police said.
The unidentified woman covertly called police on Nov. 13 to calmly request that a pizza be sent to her apartment, where Simon Lopez, 56, allegedly showed up drunk and started assaulting her mother, the Toledo Blade reported.
“I would like to order a pizza,” she told Tim Teneyck, a dispatcher with the police department in Oregon, a suburb of Toledo.
“You called 911 to order a pizza?” Teneyck replied. “This is the wrong number to call for a pizza.”

The recently completed audit uncovered 1,300 new problems with the Pentagon's budgeting and record-keeping. Minneapolis residents and visitors will see a change when they visit a grocery store in the city following the City Council's passing of the "Bring Your Own Bag" ordinance.
The ordinance, which places a 5 cent fee on each paper or plastic bag shoppers carry out of a store, was passed at the council's Friday meeting.
Under the ordinance, businesses would keep that 5 cent fee, not the city.
Anyone using federal or state assistance programs, like SNAP, would be exempt from the ordinance.
Minneapolis officials tried to ban plastic bags two years ago, however, the state legislature ruled cities could not make that decision.

The Emerson poll released Thursday found support for impeachment has dropped from 48% to 43% since October, while opposition to impeachment has risen from 44% to 45%. Independents are key in the shift, with 49% opposing impeachment and only 34% supporting impeachment. In October, 48% of independents supported impeachment and 39% opposed. The poll also showed Trump's approval rating rising to a net positive. Forty-eight percent approved of the president while 47% disapproved. His approval rating was only 43% a month ago.

Democrats on the Intelligence Committee have spent the vast majority of their impeachment hearings trying to persuade voters that bureaucrats believe Donald Trump is impulsive, self-serving, and misguided — all of which is unsurprising, and completely irrelevant to the matter at hand.
Quite often, in fact, the most breathless coverage of these tedious hearings has absolutely nothing to do with the allegedly impeachable offenses of quid pro quo or “bribery” — or whatever focus group-tested terminology Democrats are deploying today. Zhejiang - In a medical case that has emerged from China's Zhejiang province, a 43-year-old Zhu Zhong-fa, was found to have taeniasis, a parasitic disease due to infection with 700 tapeworms present in his lungs, chest after he had complained of persistent headaches and seizures. Tapeworms usually enter the body if the host has consumed tapeworm eggs from infected meat that hasn't been cooked properly. Zhong-fa, from Hangzhou in east China, was taken to a hospital after he was suffering from the symptoms for almost a month. (Snip) Scans revealed the man had as many as 700 tapeworms in his brain, chest, and lungs.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday said that the five scientists killed in a nuclear explosion in the northwestern part of the country last August were working on the “most advanced and unparalleled” weapons in the world.
Putin was speaking to relatives of the fallen men during a televised state awards ceremony at the Kremlin, assuring them that the scientists had been doing “critically important” work, The independent Moscow Times reported.

South Korea will extend a critical military intelligence-sharing agreement with Japan, Japanese media reported on Friday, November 22, just hours before the pact was due to expire.

If there’s one Republican on the House Intelligence Committee who Democrats could reasonably hope would vote to impeach President Donald Trump, it’s Representative Will Hurd of Texas. But even he isn’t sold yet.
Hurd, a moderate former CIA analyst who announced this summer that he would not seek reelection next year, joined every other House Republican in voting against a package of rules for the impeachment inquiry last month. But he had been more open-minded than most of his colleagues and gave little indication of his leanings during the committee’s hearings over the past two weeks. CNN anchor Chris Cuomo made a stunning omission on Thursday night and failed to ask former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former FBI General Counsel James Baker about the network's own report regarding an unnamed FBI official being under criminal investigation by Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz.
CNN first reported that Horowitz had been investigating an FBI official who allegedly altered a document used to obtain a FISA warrant in order to surveil a former Trump campaign adviser during the 2016 election.
