Microsoft News poll: Buttigieg breaks
out of the pack in Democratic debate

Wednesday's debate was a breakout moment for Pete Buttigieg among Democratic and independent voters. Microsoft News polls taken before and after the debate also found significantly weakened support for Joe Biden. Support for Buttigieg jumped 5 percentage points, placing him in a narrow lead. Biden's support fell 6 points. That leaves the race with two leaders with a virtual tie when accounting for the margin of error. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren were also tied. There was little change among Kamala Harris and other lower-ranked candidates. (Snip) Now, for a grain of salt These polls do not predict an outcome.

Comments:

A poll like this probably doesn't mean much, but it's certainly not good news for Crazy, Old Joe.

Careful Pete. Hunter Biden's got his eye on your hubby. Won't have to sweat the paternity test though.

Keep it up, Buttplug! No matter what anyone on the left says, America is not ready for a sodomite and his “husband” to occupy the WH.

PeteButt is proof that Democrats cannot get excited about any of their candidates. Also get the impression that some in the media have decided to push this guy. Most likely because they are part of the LGBTQ community like Pete.

Whatever elected office Mary Pete is running for, it is NOT the presidency of the United States and it is NOT in 2020. He is really running for some statewide Indiana office after 2020, in spite of his inability to manage even South Bend. For now, he's building name-recognition and collecting money, running solely on his sexuality.

I wouldn't dismiss this guy, as dismissible as he ought to be. He is a fresh face and a smooth talker, with a knack for hiding his extremism and conning the unwary and somnambulant who yearn for "normalcy" after three years of (Dem contrived) fireworks. He has the potential to break out in the early contests and win the nomination.

A senior Joe Biden campaign staffer in charge of outreach to Latino, African-American and women’s groups has quit her post, telling two allies she was frustrated over her lack of input and with the presidential candidate’s immigration rhetoric. (Snip) “The campaign is just hyper-focused on whites in Iowa and African-Americans and it placed less value on Latino outreach,” an immigration activist and friend who spoke with her told POLITICO. “Vanessa kept banging her head against the wall trying to get them to take the community more seriously,” the friend, who wasn’t authorized to speak on her behalf, said. “And Biden

Paris - The United States and Europe bear more than half the cost of repairing the damage already wrought by climate change, a coalition of environmental groups said Monday. Based on their historic greenhouse gas emissions, the US and EU should be held jointly responsible for 54 percent of funding owed to developing nations already dealing with extreme flooding, droughts and megastorms rendered more frequent and intense by global warming, the groups said. (Snip) But as climate change outpaces efforts to tame it, poorer nations -- historically virtually blameless for manmade emissions -- are pleading for richer countries to compensate them for the

Congressional Republicans dug deep in defense of Donald Trump over the weekend, frustrating Democratic hopes that the impeachment inquiry would build bipartisan support following weeks of testimony laying out how Trump attempted to extract a political “favor” from Ukraine in exchange for official acts. At the same time, the White House said it was preparing for a trial in the Senate. If the House of Representatives votes for impeachment, the matter would move to the upper chamber with Trump’s removal from office on the line. But that prospect seemed distant as not a single elected Republican stepped forward to criticize

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was released from the hospital Sunday, two days after she was admitted for chills and fever. "She is home and doing well," the court said in a statement. Ginsburg checked in to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore on Friday. "She was initially evaluated at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. before being transferred to Johns Hopkins Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of any possible infection," the court said in an earlier statement, which noted that Ginsburg's symptoms abated after she received intravenous antibiotics and fluids. The hospital stay is the latest in a

WINTERSET, Iowa — Former Vice President Joe Biden on Friday night identified several prominent Democratic women who he said could serve as his vice president if he is elected president. At a town hall, Biden was asked who his vice presidential pick would be if he wins the Democratic nomination. "You. Are you available?" Biden joked to the questioner, before giving a serious answer. Biden didn't name anyone specifically but said there are a number of people who are qualified. "I could start naming people but the press will think that’s who I picked," he said, before obliquely referring to

It is one poll in one state and therefore not a definitive reading of public opinion. But the latest survey from Marquette University’s law school of attitudes in Wisconsin highlights one of the challenges Democrats face as they move steadily toward impeaching President Trump. (Snip) The Marquette poll found 40 percent of registered voters favoring impeachment of Trump and his removal from office, compared with 44 percent in October. At the same time, 53 percent oppose impeachment and removal, compared with 51 percent the previous month. Statistically these are tiny-to-insignificant shifts, but the direction of the changes on this and

WASHINGTON — The House Intelligence Committee has begun work on its report in the impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump, Chairman Adam B. Schiff, D-Calif., said in an interview Friday. The committee, which on Thursday wrapped up public testimony with a dozen current and former administration officials, will continue working on its investigation while compiling the report, Schiff said in his Capitol Hill office. The report will signify a handoff in the impeachment inquiry from the Intelligence Committee to the House Judiciary Committee, which would write articles of impeachment. “We’re not foreclosing the possibility of additional depositions or hearings, but

A new poll shows support for the impeachment of President Trump has declined since public hearings have started. The Emerson poll released Thursday found support for impeachment has dropped from 48% to 43% since October, while opposition to impeachment has risen from 44% to 45%. Independents are key in the shift, with 49% opposing impeachment and only 34% supporting impeachment. In October, 48% of independents supported impeachment and 39% opposed. The poll also showed Trump's approval rating rising to a net positive. Forty-eight percent approved of the president while 47% disapproved. His approval rating was only 43% a month ago.

Gender transition can leave transgender people in a bit of a bind about their sexual desirability. While a transgender female may look, act, and feel masculine and exhibit male tendencies, she is just as female as any other female. If she is interested in either gay men or straight women, she could find herself perpetually attracted to individuals who are not going to be interested in her simply because of her vagina. The same holds true for transgender men who have retained their penises. If they are into lesbian women or straight men, those two demographics will most likely be turned off by their body parts.

’ll take the opportunity up front to double down on this post from Friday. I’d bet my life savings plus several internal organs that Pelosi will have 218 to impeach. That’s based on the simple reality that failing to do so at this point would cost Democrats more politically than proceeding with impeachment would. Voters who hate Trump would be furious and voters who like Trump wouldn’t give Pelosi and Schiff an ounce of credit for standing down in the end. The president would gloat about it every day unto eternity. Pelosi, long respected by both sides for her ability to whip votes, would be humiliated utterly.

The goal of the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and other Democratic Party leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives has been to use the impeachment inquiry to destroy President Donald Trump. They hope to impeach him, followed by conviction and removal from the U.S. Senate. Otherwise, they believe he will be so politically damaged that he will resign before the next election. Ironically, the exact opposite political result is occurring. The past two weeks, the nation was subjected to partisan impeachment hearings orchestrated by House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA). The process has been unfair to not only House Republicans but also to the target of their investigation, President Trump.

One poll could be an outlier, but when two resected polls find the same outcome, it’s time to realize that, most likely, something serious is going on. Rasmussen, whose own daily tracking poll revealed that 34% of black likely voters support President Trump, was initially cautious about interpreting that result, as this response to a tweet by Dineen Borelli shows: So when Mrs. @deneenborelli - a friend & an engaged supporter of @realDonaldTrump today presents a snapshot of our privacy-focused daily likely voter results, please remember, not all survey samples & collection techniques are equal or comparable.
