CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The same man who oversaw the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp is now overseeing security at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. And students want him removed. "If I don't even trust you to go to you for help, why would I want you to stay here?" UNCC sophomore Kenya Banks said. Former commander of Guantanamo Bay John Bogdan is now the associate vice chancellor for safety and security at UNCC.

Comments:

There was a mass shooting at UNCC this year in which two students were killed. It was followed by an outcry for more security...

To students, especially those in the humanities, everything is political. Why don’t they take a campus-wide vote and see how much support they get for this inane protest?

To clarify the headline. If the group of students = 200 and the number of students enrolled at UNCC = 29,600, that means that less than 1% (0.67%) of the students want the security head fired. You know, the cancel culture is alive and well at UNCC.

It used to be pretty much understood that only around 10 per cent of the population had any business being near a college, 15 per cent at the most. And many of these would be gone before the end of their second term. Now, with EEOC crap pushing employers to require credentials for clerical positions and the like, the push is on for EVERYONE to go to college. Pointing out the inconvenient truth of the Bell Curve will get you accused of all sorts of awful things. So, as here, we get loudmouthed imbecilic brats demanding all sorts of things. And equally imbecilic SJW admins swoon and grant them. Assuming the SJW admins didn't start the push. And so, all sorts of politicians kneel at the altar of the false "god" of Education. Guess what the sacrifices are.

At best, this student would only be here for 4 years...is the university taking into account the tenure of the Head of Securityor the tenure of the student? These kids are too stoopid for college, they should be asking for their money back from UNCC. See how THAT goes over!

#12, I was about to make the same inmates observation. When I was in university, misbehavior, upsetting the good order of the educational institution and they'd give you a warning, and then the bood on the derriere is necessary. So it rarely happened, and the campus was a relatively peaceful place to be and study.

A few years ago, something mildly embarrassing occurred at a Halloween party hosted by a Washington Post cartoonist: A white woman painted her face black and wore a name tag that read "Hello, My Name is Megyn Kelly," in reference to the TV host's controversial defense of white people wearing blackface. The intended butt of the joke would appear to be Kelly, not black people. Regardless, several guests approached the woman and explained to her that it was still not OK to wear blackface. The woman reportedly left the party in tears. Suffice it to say, this is not a story that needed to be told.    Corrections*

Sixteen students to a class. One-way hallways. Students lunch at their desks. Children could get one ball to play with — alone. Masks are required. A staggered school day brings on new schedules to juggle. These campus scenarios could play out based on new Los Angeles County school reopening guidelines released Wednesday. This planning document will affect 2 million students and their families as educators undertake a challenge forced on them by the coronavirus crisis: fundamentally redesigning the traditional school day. The safe reopening of schools in California and throughout the nation compels the reimagining — or abandoning — of long-held traditions

Not only do they allege the city isn’t doing enough, but they also said the city cut back on measures to keep them safe. Union members spoke Tuesday morning about the issues they're facing. “We should not have to risk our lives because people, rich people, want their trash collected,” said Dominic Harris, president of the UE 150 Charlotte chapter.

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Nancy Pelosi’s top priority is to turn America into a one-party nation ruled by Democrats. Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. Noncitizens are obligated to identify themselves and opt out,

I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
