Miraldi heard evidence today on what the college owes in attorneys’ fees. The House Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote Thursday to authorize subpoenas for a dozen witnesses of former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation as part of the panel’s probe into whether President Donald Trump committed obstruction of justice or public corruption.
According to Politico, the panel’s targets include several current and former high-level Trump administration officials, including senior White House advisor Jared Kushner, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, ex-Justice Department Deputy Rod Rosenstein, and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn.

CNN released the outline for the second round of Democrat primary debates Tuesday evening, but some of the rules have critics wondering if the network is rushing to protect Democrats.

The headline out of the recent Washington Post/ABC News poll was that President Trump’s approval ratings had hit an all-time high. Trump and his supporters were happy about that.
But the real news was buried in the poll and went largely overlooked by the press. And it should terrify everyone.
The poll found that Trump’s approval rating climbed five points to 44%, his best showing ever in that poll. Most polls have, in fact, shown Trump’s approval edging up. Tuesday afternoon, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments in Texas v. Azar and aggressively interrogated attorneys defending Obamacare’s individual mandate. They seemed deeply skeptical that the mandate can survive constitutional muster unless the lawyers representing Democratic attorneys general in 21 states and the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives can produce more convincing arguments than they have thus far put forward. Two-thirds of voters approve of a citizenship question on the 2020 census, and that includes a majority of Hispanic voters — despite claims by Democratic lawmakers that the inquiry would discourage participation in Latino communities.
A Harvard University Center for American Political Studies/Harris poll found that 67% of all registered U.S. voters say the census should ask the citizenship question when the time comes. That includes 88% of Republicans, 63% of independents and 52% of Democrats.
Most notably, the poll found that 55% of Hispanic voters favor the idea.

Rip Torn, an Emmy Award-winning actor who starred in "Men in Black" and HBO's "The Larry Sanders Show," has died, according to his publicist Rick Miramontez. He was 88. Torn died Tuesday at his home in Lakeville, Connecticut with his family by his side, Miramontez said.
