In his last documented political act, self-made billionaire and two-time presidential candidate Ross Perot wrote out two checks to President Trump’s re-election campaign before succumbing to his battle with leukemia at the age of 89, according to a report. Perot, who ran for president as a third-party candidate in 1992 and 1996, is largely credited with providing a road map for Trump's presidential campaign. Like Trump, Perot ran as a billionaire populist against the Republican establishment. One last good move. Maybe preventing Bush the Senior from being President was a good thing. It didn't seem like it at the time, but my opinion of the Bushes is way different now than it was then.

Don't care how much money he gave PT. (Why does PT need money?) It doesn't make up for him putting Slick Willie into the White House. Ross had a long shot chance at the White House. But then he started spouting stuff such as the Republican Dirty Tricks team was trying to ruin his daughter's wedding by starting rumors that his baby girl was a lesbian. At that time most people who were sitting on the fence decided that Ross was a few cans short of a six pack.

A death-bed atonement for having foisted the odious Clintons on us twice? I hope that it works in God’s eyes as well as Splash Kennedy’s death-bed appeal to Pope JPII after a lifetime of perversion and abortion support. JPII told him to go pound sand.

Glad to hear that he was a Trump supporter. I couldn't predict it----he was always somewhat of a loose cannon. I am glad that his dastardly political deeds influenced Donald Trump to run as a Republican. I wonder if Ross ever truly, truly so the error of his ways.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admonished Democrats for personally attacking one another, warning in a closed-door meeting Wednesday that the party’s fracturing was jeopardizing its majority. Without naming names, her target was clear: the four liberal freshmen known as “the Squad.” “You got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it. But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just okay,” Pelosi (D-Calif.) told Democrats. But “the Squad” — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), Ilhan Omar (Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (Mass.) — is convinced it is Pelosi who is being

Rosie O’Donnell is calling for Joe Biden to drop out of the 2020 race for president. During a Tuesday appearance on CNN’s Cuomo Primetime, the comedian and TV personality cited the 76-year-old former vice president’s age and ideas as the reasons she’ll be backing someone else seeking the Democratic Party’s nomination. “I think that Joe Biden should say, ‘I’m gonna to sit this one out,’” O’Donnell said. “‘I’m gonna be an elder statesman, and I’m gonna advise.’ And then whoever is the nominee, I think, should think about how to best use somebody with the experience that Joe Biden has

Berlin - German Chancellor Angela Merkel suffered a new trembling spell on Wednesday, the third time in less than a month, raising questions over her health. Merkel began shaking involuntarily as national anthems were being played at the reception of Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne, an AFP photographer witnessed. A government spokesman played down the trembling, telling AFP: "The chancellor is well and the talks with the Finnish prime minister will go on as planned." The shaking was visible although less severe than during the first episode in June. On that occasion she appeared unsteady and shook as she stood in

Spend some time in New York City, and you're bound to glimpse a rat - or a bunch of them - scurrying about the subway tracks, rummaging around in a heap of curb-trash, or nervously attempting to abscond with a slice of pizza. Now that July is upon us, sightings are about to escalate once again. (Snip) In New York City, rat sightings reported to 311 have nearly doubled over the course of five years, rising by 80% between 2012 and 2017, when service requests topped out at nearly 20,000. WASHINGTON — In the summer of 2016, Russian intelligence agents secretly planted a fake report claiming that Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was gunned down by a squad of assassins working for Hillary Clinton, giving rise to a notorious conspiracy theory that captivated conservative activists and was later promoted from inside President Trump’s White House, a Yahoo News investigation has found. Russia’s foreign intelligence service, known as the SVR, first circulated a phony “bulletin” — disguised to read as a real intelligence report —about the alleged murder of the former DNC staffer on July 13, 2016, according to the U.S. federal

The bevy of Democrats running for president seems determined to test my silent vow never to vote Republican, especially for President Trump. The truth is that I cannot imagine that happening, but I can imagine entering the voting booth with about a colonoscopy level of enthusiasm. Please, can we get this over with? At the moment, the party is squabbling over what is called forced busing to achieve school desegregation. It seems the party has forgotten that, with the possible exception of the Civil War draft, no program has been more hated by working-class Democrats — more whites than blacks, but

On his second day of events in Nashville, Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke met with immigrants and refugees living in Tennessee on Monday for a roundtable discussion. O'Rourke, a former Texas congressman, first held a rally at Marathon Music Works on Sunday, drawing hundreds of supporters to the campaign event where he largely focused on immigration and decried President Donald Trump's policies on detaining migrants at the southern border. The Monday roundtable was organized by TIRRC Votes, the political action committee of the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition. O'Rourke's campaign reached out to the organization about holding the meeting

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren spent most of the spring as the Democratic presidential hopeful on the rise. Her poll numbers steadily ticked up, as she carved out a spot as a policy-focused candidate whose weekly plan rollouts set much of the broader campaign agenda. The momentum translated to fundraising. Warren took in $19.1 million in April, May and June — more than three times what her campaign raised during the first quarter of 2019, according to her campaign Monday. The fundraising total is about $1 million more than Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders raised, and about $7 million more than California Sen.

Pelosi’s decision to support the Senate version of the border funding bill instead of the House version triggered the rift. The bills differed in terms of stricter oversight of migrant care in detention facilities, which the House version demanded, and the additional funding for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which the Senate version demanded. The Senate version was not well-received by the progressives, who

I suppose I should be thrilled that the U.S. Women's soccer team won its second world title but I confess to rooting for all their opponents during the games. I don't particularly care for soccer anyway but it was the purple-haired star player Megan Rapinoe who turned me off by spouting her disdain for any White House visit before she was even asked. Did she do that for publicity or was her Trump derangement too deeply entrenched?
