The ladies won and let's salute them. The TV ratings were great and everyone is happy. How does this translate to more people watching women play soccer in the U.S.? I hope it does but women's pro soccer has not been good at selling tickets. (snip) someone should remind the ladies that they are wearing the U.S. uniform not "blue states." They should show respect for U.S. fans who don't like to see flag disrespected. In particular, the outspoken Megan Rapione who thinks that she was put on this planet to talk politics

All soccer is boring, hours of running around with maybe one or two goals. Women's soccer is even more boring than men's soccer. Purple haired, foul mouthed, America-hating lesbians do NOT make alread boring women's soccer more interesting, they make it way less interesting. People do not turn in to be insulted by angry abnormals. Gee, and they wonder why there is no audience for this drivel? Pretty obvious.

It's one thing for an NFL team, San Francisco notwithstanding, to insult patriotic fans. It's something else entirely when Team USA does it. At least one of their players had the good sense to rescue our flag from its abusers. mr. Megan. you should never be allowed to put that uniform on again.

She has her right to free speech, but so do I. I don't give a flying fig what she thinks--but she's wearing our flag/colors so she owes us, the American people, some respect. I didn't like her president (over the 8 years, maybe 16 if she was old enough to vote during Clinton's terms), but I didn't disrespect my country over it. She's from the "every person gets a trophy" generation--so she expected this one, and even--it appears--figures she's the reason they got it. I take her loudmouth stance to be deterrent to anyone on that team being "allowed" to go the WH if they want to. "Better not!" under her watch. But she'll be a byword, a no name by the end of July. No one will remember anything about her, but they will know the President--he has put more food on the tables of middle America in two years than she has trophies! MAGA!!! KAG!!! Let her spew, no one will care in the long run. TRUMP 2020!!!

The Chicago Sun-Times has an article about her being "gay and proud". She claims that you can't win a championship without a gay on the team and that it's never been done. Why must they make everything about their sex lives?! And does anyone really think girls want to be like her? When I was young my friends and I wanted to be like Chris Evert, not Billie Jean King or Martina N.

In reality that Megan with the purple hair looks to be a frustrated lesbian who thinks that she is a man stuck within a female body who is in need of a check up from the neck up. Her fraudulent projection that President Trump has discriminated against homosexuals (LGBTQ people) does not hold water as Trump has appointed homosexuals to some high level positions in his Administration. The most prominent being the US Ambassador to Germany. In addition Trump has never made comments adverse to homosexuals. No doubt there are a lot of others appointed by Trump who just do their jobs and keep their sexual preferences private. Even after Megan started attacking Trump he still invited the team to the White House. As usual like almost all committed lefties, this Meagan must attack Trump’s personality because the left does not have, or support, a political agenda that once the details become known to, and are understood by most Americans who actually vote in US elections, will result in enough support with the greater US electorate for the left to win enough elections to permanently politically control the country as is the leftists ultimate mission in life. The author’s comments about the lack of balance in talent among the various national teams has not been an issue in the USA, likely because the US team has been winning all along. Remember the team representing the USA was recruited from a US population of over 325 million people while the other team in the final game, representing the Netherlands, was recruited from a population of about 17 million people. No professional sports league could survive very long if the individual teams in the league had such a disparity in recruiting their talent.

Anything a 5 year old can do is not a "sport". Soccer is, and always will be boring, just by nature of the game. It typically goes on for hours on end, running up and down a field with little or no scoring, then the game gets decided by a penalty kick at the last minute. Why do so many little kids play soccer? Because even a little kid, regardless of athletic ability, can run and kick a ball. So go ahead and think you're special pink-haired (whatever you are). You're a boring person, playing a boring game and managing to disrespect and embarrass your country in the meantime. And be sure to do your "look at me/how great I am" pose. That's a nice touch to announce to the world what a narcissistic idiot you are.

If Rapione dislikes Mr. Trump and his political points of view, that's fine; she has a right to her opinion. But claiming that Mr. Trump hates or mistreats gay people is patently false. Frankly, I don't think the man cares what people do or are sexually as long as it (a) doesn't hurt anyone and (b) isn't illegal; I believe he considers it a private matter.

For a guy who is purportedly stupid and lacking in nuance, President Trump yesterday masterfully trolled Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party while superficially supporting her. In just a few sentences, speaking to reporters prior to boarding Marine One, he took the high road, affirming Nancy Pelosi is not a racist, gaining points as a healer. But at the same time, he aggravated existing tensions in the opposition party and pushed the ranks of Democrats into a circular firing squad formation where their anger can be directed against each other. Why did Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resign? His supposed “offense” was declining to prosecute Jeffrey Epstein in return for the billionaire sex predator’s guilty plea in state court (and concomitant jail sentence) when he was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida. That is hardly an offense or even scandalous. It’s a professional decision that prosecutors across the country make every day. You can agree or disagree with it, but it is hardly grounds to lose your next job over. So what is going on here? The least likely possibility is that there really was something scandalous about Acosta’s decision.

The leftist media machine has launched an effort to link Donald Trump with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This tiresome methodology of character attack is a threat to the core of free speech, as victimhood — whether of border children, women, blacks, gays, transgenders, or inquiring people — is transformed into a self-righteous weapon unhindered by policy prescriptions, employed by one political group against another on purely ideological grounds. It strikes me as quite unlikely that Jeffrey Epstein’s motive for allegedly inviting powerful figures from the US and Europe aboard the Lolita Express on a trip to Orgy Island was mere fellowship – as if they were playing a round of golf together. My dominant hypothesis is that he was video recording highly illegal and morally reprehensible rapes for use as blackmail material. It might have been insurance against serious prosecution for his indulging in his own perversion, which would explain why his punishment the first time he was prosecuted was laughably light
