Pope Francis has forcibly removed a Texas bishop who built a huge social media following with his brazen criticism of the pontiff, including a warning of 'blasphemies emanating from Rome.'
Bishop Joseph E. Strickland was removed from pastoral duties in the Diocese of Tyler, which will be temporarily administered by the bishop of Austin, the Vatican said in a one-sentence statement on Saturday.
Strickland, an outspoken conservative on issues including abortion, was known for his social media broadsides against the Holy See and had come to symbolize the growing polarization within the US Catholic hierarchy.

The Walt Disney Company just cannot do anything right these days.
Earlier this week, Disney CEO Bob Iger admitted that the company “lost some focus” with their content decisions and execution. That was a significant understatement, and given the myriad of problems they’ve created for themselves, fixing it was already a monumental task.
And that was before Disney got the first box office results from Marvel Studios’ latest signature release, The Marvels.
Pre-release tracking had suggested that The Marvels could gross $75 million to $80 million in its opening weekend, which would have been a disastrous failure for a film with an estimated $270 million production budget.

Roll the tapes: On Nov. 1, Connecticut Judge William Clark overturned the results of the Bridgeport mayoral primary, calling video evidence of potential fraud “shocking.” Wanda Geter-Pataky, the vice chair of the Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee, appears to have been caught on video stuffing handfuls of ballots into a drop box outside City Hall.
On Oct. 25, in Paterson, New Jersey, the sitting president of the City Council, Alex Mendez, was charged with personally collecting large numbers of mail-in ballots in his district, destroying ballots that did not favor him and replacing them with ballots that falsely chose him.

Donald Trump is pushing for his federal election interference trial in Washington to be televised, joining media outlets that say the American public should be able to watch the historic case unfold.
Federal court rules prohibit broadcasting proceedings, but The Associated Press and other news organizations say the unprecedented case of a former president standing trial on accusations that he tried to subvert the will of voters warrants making an exception.
The Justice Department is opposing the effort, arguing that the judge overseeing the case does not have the authority to ignore the long-standing nationwide policy against cameras in federal courtrooms. The trial is scheduled to begin on March 4.

In 2002, I discovered a 1927 lecture by Bertrand Russell entitled “Why I am Not a Christian”. It did not cross my mind, as I read it, that one day, nearly a century after he delivered it to the South London branch of the National Secular Society, I would be compelled to write an essay with precisely the opposite title.
The year before, I had publicly condemned the terrorist attacks of the 19 men who had hijacked passenger jets and crashed them into the twin towers in New York. They had done it in the name of my religion, Islam. I was a Muslim then, although not a practising one.

The word “genocide” may be the one rendered most meaningless in our discourse. It has some steep competition, of course. “White supremacy” now means asking someone to show up on time. “Trauma” means being referred to with the wrong pronoun. And “genocide” can, among other things, mean debating experimental sex reassignment procedures for children. (Go look up #transgenocide on Twitter and weep.)
But the supporters of Hamas and of the Palestinians have seized the g-word with particular zeal. And who can blame them? There’s a real, adolescent frisson in accusing the victims of the worst genocide in modern history of being genocidal themselves.

The barbaric concept of retaliation also implies the equally savage concept of proportionality. If your primitive tribe of desert bandits kill too many of the other clan, they might retaliate against you. You need to make sure your blood vengeance is proportional. To societies that seek the betterment of humanity, proportionality is a meaningless statement. Something is either an evil that needs to be eliminated or it’s not. Otherwise the United State should apologize to Nazi Germany for killing too many of them. Should Israel really try to find a music festival in Gaza and kill the exact number of people,

The pandemic-driven disruptions in our supply chains demonstrated why now, more than ever, America must control its own destiny, particularly when it comes to manufacturing. The delays have eased, but it wasn’t long ago that consumers in the U.S. waited months for everything from cars to refrigerators. And still, China dominates the manufacturing of products and components we need, from the medicines that improve our health, to the chips that run our devices, to the mining and processing of critical minerals. We are reliant on a global adversary – and it’s not just frustrating for consumers, it’s a threat to our national security.

Former Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby has been convicted on two counts of perjury by a federal jury.
The federal jury reached the verdict Thursday, finding Mosby guilty of perjury after she falsely claimed financial hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to withdraw money from the city's retirement fund, prosecutors announced. We respect the jury’s verdict and remain steadfastly committed to our mission to uphold the rule of law, keep our country safe, protect the civil rights of all Americans, and safeguard public property," U.S. Attorney Erek L. Barron said.
Mosby faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison for each of the two perjury counts.

Sadly, the Biden administration has yet to come out and publicly acknowledge Iran's role in Hamas's October 7 invasion of Israel, in which the terrorist group murdered over 1,400 Israelis and at least 31 Americans, and wounded over 4,500 Israelis. Hamas also abducted more than 240 people and took them back to Gaza, where they are being held as hostages.
Iran provides roughly $100 million a year to Palestinian terrorist organizations such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and $700 million a year to Hezbollah.
Iran and its proxies have clearly been waging a war against Israel, Jews and the United States.

Veterans Day is a U.S. legal holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars, and Veterans Day 2023 will occur on Saturday, November 11. In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I, then known as “the Great War.”
Commemorated in many countries as Armistice Day the following year, November 11th became a federal holiday in the United States in 1938.

In the aftermath of Tehran's recent warmongering in the Middle East last month, the ominous specter of the Iranian regime's designs materialized once more in a chilling act of terrorism on the streets of Madrid on Thursday. Prominent Spanish politician, Dr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras, President of the International Committee in Search of Justice and former Vice President of the European Parliament, was shot in the face in broad daylight. The audacious act of terror serves as a stark wake-up call to the escalating audacity of Tehran's mullahs.

It turns out that nations do not stumble into wars and conflict. Wars are generally the result of globalist forces with ulterior motives or political leaders who seek to shore up and protect their political position by demonizing a target, like Russia, and then rallying the people’s support around the enemy of that target, like Ukraine, in the name of patriotism and American interests. The American people are wising up after spending $8 trillion over some twenty years in the so-called war against terror in the Middle East in Iraq and Afghanistan -- protracted engagements that cost lives and ended in failure,

Drug addicts, dealers and homeless who have plagued San Francisco’s downtown have miraculously disappeared this week as the city cleans up for a huge international event.
Sources tell The Post the homeless have been pushed to other parts of the city in preparation for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which starts tomorrow and runs through Nov. 17.
However, residents and business owners said city officials’ attempts to “herd” transients and drug addicts is only a “Band-Aid” to a severe problem as drug overdoses continue to plague the city.
The city focused on seven intersections in the Tenderloin and South of Market, or SoMa,

In October, billionaire Leon Cooperman announced live on FOX Business that he would no longer donate money to Columbia University over the pro-Hamas demonstrations that were taking place there. He said that the students have s*** for brains.
Now another billionaire named Henry Swieca is pulling his support from the school for the same reasons.
This is a very loud wake up call for higher education in America. This is how things get changed.
When these far left indoctrination factories see their funding dry up, they might finally get the message that people are tired of this.

FBI agents seized the New York mayor’s cell phones and other devices in an escalation of a federal investigation into campaign fundraising, U.S. media reported Friday.
The seizure appears to be part of a corruption investigation into whether Eric Adams’ 2021 campaign conspired with Turkey’s government, according to The New York Times, which broke the story.
Citing people with knowledge of the matter, the paper said Adams was approached by agents on Monday after an event, who asked the mayor’s security personnel to step away from his vehicle before climbing inside with him.

Several blue states across the United States are automatically registering hundreds of thousands of residents to vote each year whenever they interact with state agencies, including welfare offices, a report from journalist John Fund details.
The report, issued by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, documents the Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) policy now imposed by 23 states and the District of Columbia. All but three of these states are blue states controlled by Democrats.

Twenty years ago, when I was a college student, I started writing about a then-nameless, niche ideology that seemed to contradict everything I had been taught since I was a child.
It is possible I would not have perceived the nature of this ideology—or rather I would have been able to avoid seeing its true nature—had I not been a Jew. But I was. I am. And in noticing the way I had been written out of the equation, I started to notice that it wasn’t just me, but that the whole system rested on an illusion.
What I saw was a worldview that replaced basic ideas of good and evil

A new report on the aftermath of the Issue 1 vote in Ohio finds that radical abortion activists spent almost $67 million buying the vote. The incredible level of spending, with significant amounts of dark money coming into Ohio from out of state and out of the country, raises questions about whether the Issue 1 vote accurately depicts the will of Ohio voters or merely reflects an inordinate amount of leftist spending to buy votes. [Snip] Meanwhile, Ohio exit polling shows that one third of those who voted for Issue 1 don’t support abortions up to birth and voted for the measure to preserve

The level of violence keeps escalating. In the past 24 hours there were two anti-Semitic incidents at Ohio State University, one of which involved beating up students who were targeted for being Jewish. Early Friday morning, around 1:30 am, two students were leaving a bar off campus.
The victims were leaving a bar when they got into a verbal altercation with two unknown male suspects, Columbus police said.
“According to reports, the suspects yelled a derogatory term and assaulted two students while asking if they were Jewish,” OSU’s public safety notice stated.
Columbus police said both victims “believe this to be a hate crime”

It appears at least some universities aren’t putting up with the pro-Hamas crowd’s antics. Ever since the current war began after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, members of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) have been causing trouble and engaging in rowdy demonstrations on college campuses across the country.
In several cases, members of these groups have engaged in violent and threatening behavior as they advocate in favor of Hamas and the Palestinians. However, Columbia University is not putting up with it any longer. On Friday, the Chair of the Special Committee on Campus Safety, Gerald Rosberg put out a statement

Things have been getting out of control on college campuses when it comes to the anti-Israel crowd.
As we reported earlier, anti-Israel groups at Columbia University were suspended for threatening behavior and intimidation.
At MIT (the Massachusetts Institue of Technology), the anti-Israel crowd took it to a whole new level, as this letter from the students revealed. Professor Retsef Levi posted what the letter said and it's some pretty scary stuff, like a throwback to the 1930s. Today, Jewish and Israeli MIT students were physically prevented from attending class by a hostile group of pro-Hamas and anti-Israel MIT students that call themselves the CAA.

TEL AVIV, Israel — Israel is preparing for the possibility that the Hamas terror organization in Gaza and the Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon may attack using rockets filled with various liquid fentanyl variants, designed to incapacitate and kill large numbers of people.
The Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s version of the Red Cross, sent an alert to staffers this week telling them that Israel’s health authorities had warned the MDA to prepare for the possibility that terror organizations might cause a mass casualty event using opioids from the fentanyl class of compounds. The MDA asked staff members to familiarize themselves with the protocol for treating

The White House announced on Friday that a high-stakes meeting between President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping will take place in San Francisco on Wednesday.
Being billed as the U.S.-PRC Leaders Summit, both will be attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco. The two met last November in Bali. APEC will start on Saturday and run through Nov. 17. "The leaders will discuss issues in the U.S.-PRC bilateral relationship, the continued importance of maintaining open lines of communication, and a range of regional and global issues," White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement.

As you’ve probably heard by now (we had it in the headlines yesterday), Sen. Joe Manchin is not running for another term in the Senate next year. Manchin would be running as a Democrat in West Virginia against Gov. Jim Justice, a popular Republican.
This move makes a lot of sense for Manchin. Rather than spend time and money only to lose a race he has little chance of winning, Manchin gets to go out on his own terms. But there’s no denying this is very bad news for the Democratic Party. In order to hold the Senate, they now need to win every seat they are defending and win
