Virginia Democrats last week took control of the state House and retained control of the state Senate by one seat — but a winning senator may have lied about residing in the district, a situation that could lead to the chamber falling into Republican hands. (snip) Hashmi filed candidacy paperwork saying she lived in an apartment on Boulder Lake Drive in North Chesterfield in Senate District 15.
But four neighbors filed a complaint saying she actually lives outside the district on Bosham Lane in Midlothian, (snip) she may have committed a felony by concealing her ownership of the Midlothian home on sworn election forms.

It's OK if a Democrat lies and cheats. So let it go. No big deal.

Being a carpetbagger is just another longstanding tradition of the Democrat Party from the old Reconstruction days, like the KKK. Lovely people with a rich and interesting history. /heavy sarcasm off/

Shifty Schiff has been living in Maryland for 9 years, openly...but still gets elected to "Represent" California, Cali's newest Senator, appointed to replace Feinstein doesn't live in the State, wasn't even registered to vote there when it was announced she was it's Senator.
In Britain they are called "Rotten Burroughs", many come with a seat in the House of Commons...some several.
Her neighbors notified the "Authorities" in October, no media picked it up...it's the same old same old "Yellow Dog" democrat issue, they will vote for Anyone/anything the Machine puts on the ballot under the "D" heading.Living or dead, even sitting in a prison cell, or soon to be in one.

Congrats to the good folks who checked out the lying Dem's housing "lie."
I remember a Dem city council person who was elected to a district across town -- but his permanent residence was in another home where his wife lived. He left his city council job when the feds convicted him of taking bribes.
A good friend of mine caught the Pres. of our local school board was living in another city. He claimed that his residence was in a mobile home (more like a weekend trailer) in a mobile home park in the community, but they never found him living there. He actually claimed on his election forms he lived in another house, where his then- and now- ex-wife actually lives. The guy resigned when the local DA mentioned that this was a felony. Seems the guy had to resign for "medical reasons."

Democrats hardly ever tell the truth about anything especially when pledging fealty to America and the Constitution...
Anyone who has ever voted for a Democrat, for anything, expects and counts on that too be the case.

The far left Richmond Times Dispatch must be unaware of this situation...I searched & failed to find any mention of the subject??? If this was a republican it would be headline news!

Is residence still a thing? Somebody should have told Nancy Pelosi, Auntie Maxine and the many others in Congress who had primary residences in and around the Beltway but hail from "home" states. Their own IRS defines "primary residence" is the place where you spend the majority of your time. The occasional weekend flight home does not make it home.
