Virginia Democrats last week took control of the state House and retained control of the state Senate by one seat — but a winning senator may have lied about residing in the district, a situation that could lead to the chamber falling into Republican hands. (snip) Hashmi filed candidacy paperwork saying she lived in an apartment on Boulder Lake Drive in North Chesterfield in Senate District 15. But four neighbors filed a complaint saying she actually lives outside the district on Bosham Lane in Midlothian, (snip) she may have committed a felony by concealing her ownership of the Midlothian home on sworn election forms.

Two state senators are calling for an audit of Connect for Health Colorado after a CBS News Colorado investigation found the organization was giving money to certain political organizations and funding political functions like galas and helping certain political organizations with fundraising.

Stefanik filed her complaint against Judge Arthur Engoron with the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct, alleging that he is “not honoring [Trump’s] rights to due process and a fair trial,” according to her tweet. In a brutal episode of violence, a 17-year-old Las Vegas native, Jonathan Lewis Jr., died following a vicious attack by an estimated group of 15 individuals near Rancho High School.
Jonathan Lewis Sr., the victim’s father, confirmed this on Tuesday.

Protestors again called for a cease-fire and demanded that the U.S. stop sending funding to Israel amid an increasingly desperate situation for Palestinian people living in Gaza.
