Orlando, Florida – In his keynote address at the opening session of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) International Christian Media Convention here on Monday night, Rev. Franklin Graham minced no words regarding faith in today's society. He told all those gathered, "There’s a storm coming, and we’ve all got to be prepared." Rev. Graham also said that "every demon from hell" has been "turned loose" in our culture today. "The world has deteriorated so quickly," he said from the stage. "We cannot be deceived and we can’t be fooled. We need to get ready and be prepared."

Even as he turns 100 years old this weekend, Dr. Henry Kissinger is relevant and worth listening to. World leaders continue to consult with him, and he pumps out sage book after prescient opinion column. His record regarding Jews and Israel remains controversial, but I think that on balance Kissinger deserves respect.
Arriving in the US in 1938 as a 15-year-old Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany, Kissinger rose to become the most consequential figure in US foreign policy of the past century, serving as national security advisor and secretary of state to presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

The White House on Thursday released a broad national strategy to fight antisemitism, describing the initiative as unprecedented in scope amid a surge in anti-Jewish crime.
However, the White House evaded an increasingly contentious debate over how to define antisemitism, avoiding a clear endorsement of a mainstream, widely accepted definition while simultaneously welcoming an alternative pushed by progressives who argue the former doesn't allow sufficient space to criticize Israel, the world's only Jewish state.
The 60-page document details four pillars that undergird the strategy: increasing awareness and understanding of antisemitism and appreciation of Jewish American heritage,

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., slammed the Supreme Court's ruling Thursday that limited the Environmental Protection Agency's ability to regulate bodies of water, calling it a "MAGA" court even though the decision was 9-0. On Thursday, the high court issued an opinion that narrowed the EPA's broad definition of Waters of the United States (WOTUS). The court said the federal government must define WOTUS as a water source with a "continuous surface connection" to major bodies of water.
The decision upended an attempt by the Biden administration to regulate wetlands, lakes, ponds, streams and other "relatively permanent" waterways, which had relied on a broad reading of the EPA's authority

The current reports of executive branch illegality make Watergate look like kindergarten mischief. It is clear from the Durham report and the work of House Republican hearings that the current scandals in the Biden White House – and senior bureaucracies at the Justice Department, IRS, and elsewhere – are much deeper and more cancerous than Watergate ever was.
It may be hard to remember, but Watergate came about due to a weird, dumb, and fairly narrow set of criminal behaviors which mushroomed into 69 officials being indicted and 48 imprisoned. I remember Watergate vividly, because I first ran for Congress in 1974 during the Watergate scandal.

My four years on a high school debate team in Broward County, Florida, taught me to challenge ideas, question assumptions, and think outside the box. It also helped me overcome a terrible childhood stutter. And I wasn’t half-bad: (Snip) But let’s say when the high school sophomore clicks Tabroom she sees that her judge is Lila Lavender, the 2019 national debate champion, whose paradigm reads, “Before anything else, including being a debate judge, I am a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist. . . . Gary Shapley, an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower, said that the federal agency “slow-walked” its investigation into the finances of President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
“There were multiple steps that were slow-walked — were just completely not done — at the direction of the Department of Justice,” the IRS agent told CBS News in his first public interview on Wednesday night.
“When I took control of this particular investigation, I immediately saw deviations from the normal process. It was way outside the norm of what I’ve experienced in the past.” “Had you ever encountered that before?” news anchor Jim Axelrod asked following Shapley’s comments. “I have not, no,”

Only a country that has lost the will to survive would tolerate the invasion underway all across America. There is no longer a southern border to speak of. From Arizona to Maine, towns are under siege by a relentless, surging mass of humanity. The lowly citizen has been trampled underfoot to make lebensraum for the hallowed “asylum seeker,” whose conquering steps are greeted with suppliant knee.
These newcomers are an enormous, indefinite strain on public resources, which must provide schooling, housing, healthcare, and food. They bring unnecessary and unwanted violence and crime. Nobody actually wants them in their neighborhoods, including the dopey liberals who

To be clear, I am writing this as a pollster, not as a politician or partisan.
Here’s the bottom line. As it gets closer to the summer of 2023, I would rate the Democrats as more likely to again take/keep the White House. They might even hold on to the Senate and re-take the House.
This is a tough message to deliver to the Republican faithful at a time when inflation is way up, millions have crossed the border illegally, China and Russia both pose true threats to international stability, and crime has spiraled in many areas of the nation.
Sure, events and issues would seemingly favor the 2024 Republican nominee for president.

For many years before the climate change cult started to embrace electric vehicles as the thing that would save all of us from certain climate doom, the alarmists were in love with “light rail.” Taking a train somewhere instead of driving or flying was going to make the climate safer for everybody — or something.
The love of light rail is alive in France with a new policy that bans short domestic flights when passengers have the option to take a train. But, as is par for the course when the climate crazies get to make policy, it’s not convenient for some travelers.

I arrived three weeks ago to a Britain in full coronation celebration, reveling in the historic and impressive crowning of Charles III. I returned this past weekend from a Britain in stitches over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest whopper — what they claim to be a two-hour car chase. The jokes, the roasts, the eye rolls haven't stopped for days on both sides of the Atlantic. One thing is clear: this couple who take themselves oh-so-seriously have been reduced, in the world’s eyes, to circus clowns — out-cartooning even their "South Park" depictions.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis raised a ton of money for his blowout re-election victory in 2022 — and the leftovers are set to give a head start to the massive super PAC boosting his 2024 presidential campaign.
The governor's state political committee, Friends of Ron DeSantis, had at least $86 million in the bank at the end of April. That money can't simply transfer into DeSantis' presidential campaign — Federal Election Commission rules state that “a candidate’s authorized (federal) committee may not accept funds or assets transferred from a committee established by the same candidate for a nonfederal election campaign.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders is still promoting Medicare for All to “solve” several problems with the current health care system. What are those problems? Cost and access are the top two.
Advocates for socialized medicine schemes like Medicare for All get both wrong.
The U.S Doesn’t Spend ‘Too Much’ on Health Care
Typical framing of the cost issue shows U.S. healthcare spending relative to gross domestic product (GDP). But, health care spending should be divided by household disposable income, which is the amount of income available to spend after taxes. The U.S. ranks no. 1

Babe Ruth is #3 on the home run list behind Bonds and Aaron. However, 714 is one of those magic numbers for baseball fans like me. 60 (later 61) and 714 were the big baseball numbers that we grew up hearing about. Frankly, I never thought that anyone would catch Ruth's 714. At the same time, I cheered Aaron all the way, especially after he got to 700 and eventually passed Ruth in 1974.
Babe Ruth hit # 714 on this day in 1935. Like everything else, he did it with style and noise. This is how it went down:

After working hard to keep Ron DeSantis from entering the presidential primary at all, Donald Trump now is trying to make the case that the Florida governor has no chance of winning.
Trump might believe it – though his barrage of attacks against DeSantis suggests otherwise. But anyone who thinks that the Republican primaries are over long before they even get started needs a lesson in history.
When news broke earlier this week about DeSantis’ plan to enter the race, Trump immediately posted a series of links

Not so long ago, America had a great economy, the lowest unemployment ever for a range of demographic groups, energy independence, an increasingly secure southern border, a strong international profile, and no new wars. It had freedom. It had national pride. And all because it had a highly skilled president of unabashed patriotism who was devoted to the best interests of his people.
Now we’re being readied to eat bugs while our overlords dine on steaks. To live in “fifteen-minute cities” while they fly to conferences in Fiji. To tighten our belts to prevent rising sea levels while they luxuriate in sea-level mansions in Malibu and Martha’s Vineyard.

Elections matter. But just as important is the quality of the electorate. One of my long-time and wise colleagues who has passed on, Professor Bertram Levin, some years ago pointed out to me the irony that a democracy can destroy itself by voting itself into communism. Chicago, a beautiful and once vibrant city, has proven the point. Brandon Johnson, the new mayor, is an avowed communist. His recent characterization of businesses as evil profit-mongers is sure to accelerate Chicago’s death spiral as businesses flee the city. Johnson should not be blamed; the electorate should.
The quality of the electorate can have profound effects on society.

Whoopi Goldberg told her co-hosts Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R-FL) presidential bid will have to deal with “gay folks” rising up and fighting for what they need.
Discussing DeSantis’ presidential announcement, Goldberg said, “He has to work on, be articulate, so we know what you’re talking about. I don’t understand. I didn’t know what he was saying. Look, you know what, this idea of announcing on Twitter. I’m old and I’m okay being old, do that on television. Okay? I want to see you do it on television. I want to see you actually take real Americans’ questions. That’s what I want.

The 2022 stolen Arizona governor's election is an ideal template for 2024 — and it is equally a mirror reflection, with all the moving parts, of 2020.
This week, Kari Lake lost, again, in a court that wouldn't have given her a victory had 240,000 citizens signed affidavits saying their ballots were stolen and changed at gunpoint.
The courtroom exhibits may not have swayed the jurists, but those signature mismatches showed plenty of evidence that Kari Lake's election was stolen by a lack of signature verification — and more.
Kari Lake's election is the template for important American elections from now on.

Ron DeSantis appeared to compare his own military service to Donald Trump's draft-dodging when asked how he'd cope with insults hurled by the former president.
Speaking to Fox News on Wednesday night, the Florida governor said such jibes would pale in comparison to the hardships experienced by service personnel - with the lawmaker himself once serving as a Navy lawyer.
Trump, by comparison, dodged being drafted into the Vietnam War by claiming he suffered from bone spurs, with DeSantis seemingly keen to highlight the ex-president's much-mocked excuse.

An Arkansas man who was photographed during the Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol protest with his feet propped on a desk in then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office was sentenced on Wednesday to four and a half years in prison.
In January 2023, Richard "Bigo" Barnett was found guilty on all eight counts in his indictment, including felony charges of civil disorder and obstruction of an official proceeding.
Federal prosecutors asked the judge to sentence Barnett to more than seven years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for his actions during the January 6 protest.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) was mocked by Twitter users after his presidential campaign launch, which occurred on a Twitter space, was plagued with technical difficulties.
As Breitbart News reported:
The Twitter Spaces call, scheduled to launch at 6 p.m. Eastern, began several minutes late as one unidentified voice whispered that it was “quiet.” David Sacks, the entrepreneur hosting the event, began to introduce Elon Musk and asserted that this was “historic” before the audio cut out. From then on, the audio continued to cut in out several times, with continued echoing and seemingly random voices

Ron DeSantis' famous white rain boots have once again been ridiculed after his disastrous 2024 campaign launch, which saw a Twitter live chat fail in spectacular style.

In the iconic 1939 movie, the wicked witch of the east is flattened after Dorothy's home lands in the mythical land.

The highly-anticipated start of his 2024 White House run started 26 minutes late and crashed multiple times as hundreds of thousands of users tuned in to listen to DeSantis' conversation with the Twitter CEO.
The Florida Governor shrugged off the shambolic start in a follow-up video clip after the Twitter event, saying he 'broke the internet.' While the delivery was a joke and appeared to make light of the haywire announcement, DeSantis did not crack a smile.

While I was flying a plane somewhere over the mid-west this evening, Ron DeSantis finally made his much-anticipated presidential campaign announcement. Unfortunately, we’ve got no in-flight internet on our birds, so I’m disconnected when I’m up there and missed out on all the initial fireworks.
But from what I can gather, DeSantis demanded so much attention that he broke Twitter for about 20 minutes before he and Elon Musk were able to continue their Twitter Spaces conversation. I’m being assured that means the Florida man’s launch was a total disaster, effectively ending his campaign before it starts. Joe Biden even had his handlers fire off a silly tweet about

The Walt Disney Company’s ongoing feud with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has caused the Mouse House to plummet in a key gauge that measures the reputation of the most visible brands in America. The Bob Iger-led media giant plunged 12 spots to rank 77th in this year’s Axios and Harris Poll 100, which is based on a survey of 16,310 Americans from a nationally representative sample conducted March 13–28. The survey ranked Disney as the fifth most polarizing company — a metric that is measured by the gap between the reputational score among Democrats and Republicans.
The company has been engaged in a bare-knuckle battle
