Joe Biden has exaggerated and lied about so many things in his political career, frankly, it’s hard to keep up with them all.
But one of the things that he has frequently exaggerated about in the past year has been a fire that occurred in his home in 2004.
His story has changed every time he tells it, as is typical with Joe Biden’s stories. When you’re not telling the truth, you can’t keep up with the lie that you told before. So it’s been an ever-evolving story.
When we first covered it in November of last year, Biden claimed his house had burnt down “with my wife in it,” and that

Conservatives in Oregon are gathering forces to vote on secession from the state in a concerted effort to join Idaho, which shares their values and political beliefs including those on Critical Race Theory, supporting the police, and bail laws. (Video) The Greater Idaho movement is pressuring state legislators as well as those in Idaho to redraw Oregon’s border so that the eastern two-thirds of the Beaver State becomes part of the Gem State, known for potatoes, gorgeous mountains, lakes, lower taxation, and conservatism.
Nine eastern Oregon counties have already backed secession. Two others are getting ready to vote in November on whether they want their representatives to

Former professional football player and businessman Herschel Walker is holding his first debate with Raphael Warnock tonight in Georgia.
And as the debate goes on it is clear that Herschel Walker is destroying the Georgia Socialist.
Warnock has voted with the Pelosi-Schumer-Biden agenda that has destroyed our economy, or foreign policy, our schools, our freedoms, and our way of life.

After initial complaints about the hurricane response, and some pre-storm criticisms, the press has little to say as the recovery impressively takes place.
There was a curious news item at CNN, regarding an announcement concerning the upcoming election in the storm-torn areas of southwest Florida. Due to infrastructure damage and other physical challenges in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, contingencies will be put in place to facilitate the ability to vote for residents adversely affected.
In the three counties most affected by the storm, early voting will be extended. Also, Sarasota, Charlotte, and especially Lee Counties will have broadened early voting sites,

Wisconsin Democratic Senate candidate Mandela Barnes was riding high in August. The state’s Lt. Governor had a 7-point lead in the respected Marquette Law School poll and Senator Ron Johnson — the most vulnerable Republican senator running in 2022 — couldn’t get any traction against the Democrat.
But in September, quotes surfaced that suggested Barnes was in favor of defunding the police and granting lesser bail for most crimes. More recently, Barnes has refused to rule out abortion in the later stages of pregnancy. Those two issues have combined to allow Johnson to portray Barnes as just another Democratic extremist and not right for Wisconsin.

I’ve got a confession to make. When I saw that Republican Herschel Walker had accepted a debate with Democrat incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock, I wasn’t exactly enthused. Yes, to some extent, Walker’s communication issues have been overstated, but no one was ever going to confuse him for a charismatic speaker, and certainly, no one thought he would be a good debater. The running assumption for the month leading up to the event has been simple: Walker would be lucky to get out alive, and absolutely no one was entertaining the possibility that he could excel.

The trial of Igor Danchenko shows how much previous Special Counsel Robert Mueller either failed to include in or did not know about for his own report in his investigation on Russia interference in the 2016 election, constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley told Fox News. Turley made his observation Friday after Special Counsel John Durham rested his case and Judge Anthony Trenga threw out one count against Danchenko. Attorneys for Danchenko suggested they would not put forth a defense.
Danchenko, a Russian national, pleaded not guilty last year to lying about the source of information that he provided to ex-MI6 Agent Christopher Steele for the much-discredited Trump-Russia dossier.

California’s agricultural production is as large as Texas and Iowa combined. The state’s Mediterranean climate and fertile valleys help make it the fifth largest supplier of food and fiber in the world. It all depends on water.
Most of the state’s crops rely on irrigation as opposed to rain. Irrigation is regulated by a system of water rights held by public and private parties. Notice these are "rights" and not "privileges." The exercise of these rights to bring about beneficial uses of water such as growing food is a complicated area of law and policy.
History proves that giving the government control over the food supply is usually a recipe for famine.

If you will, follow this (very brief) timeline of events: Trump warned them, they scoffed, and now they're burning COVID masks for heat.
So who are they?
"They" are the elitists at the helm of the German government, running the country into the ground, all in the name of climate alarmism.
But who do the German people think they are, placing undue expectations on public servants to prioritize citizens' prosperity over Big Government altruism? "They" are from the government, and "they" are only here to help. The audacity.

GOP Rep. Mike Garcia holds one of House Republicans’ most vulnerable districts. But Democrats have barely spent a dime on TV to take him down.
The decision, according to those involved, was driven by a relative lack of resources: As Republicans’ biggest House super PAC floods the election with hundreds of millions of dollars, their Democratic counterparts have lagged far behind. Some members of the California Democratic delegation were alarmed by the decision to leave Garcia’s district untouched — and they have urged their party’s campaign arm in recent weeks not to abandon a seat that President Joe Biden won by double digits, according to multiple people familiar with the discussions.

A judge has ruled that a federal law banning guns that have had their serial numbers removed is unconstitutional.
The law at issue prohibits any person from transporting a gun with the serial number “altered, obliterated, or removed,” across state lines. It also prohibits them from possessing such a gun if it has ever been transported across state lines.
Serial numbers were first required by the federal Gun Control Act of 1968 to allow guns to be traced. They were adopted in an effort to prevent illegal gun sales.
The decision filed on Oct. 12 (pdf), written by U.S. District Judge Joseph Goodwin in Charleston, West Virginia, blocks the law from taking effect.

I’m standing outside the Eastern District of PA’s U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia with 150 to 175 people, many with signs and cameras. It’s a sunny October morning at 6th and Chestnut. The mood is solemn but curiously upbeat.
One of the event’s organizers, Dr. William Devlin, pastor of Infinity Bible Church in the South Bronx, is at the podium. Devlin is a tall and lanky minister with a tight ponytail in the back of his head, which may cause some to assume that he’s “woke.” The truth is the opposite of that. Devlin is an international human rights advocate as well as a polished speaker

A new CNN analysis fretted that American voters might care more about the cost of their food than they do about the Jan. 6 hearings. Noting Thursday’s Consumer Price Index data which showed inflation reaching 8.2% in September, as well as a cost-of-living index at its highest level since 1982, CNN's Stephen Collinson noted polling has repeatedly reinforced that the economy is the top concern to voters heading into the midterm elections. The data included information about frozen potato products, as well as pork products, which have increased 10% and 5.5%, respectively. "While it would be too simplistic to say

Microsoft’s hi-tech headsets being tested by the Army have left soldiers feeling sick and have flaws that “would have gotten us killed,” according to published reports. The “HoloLens” headset, designed to give soldiers a “heads-up display” similar to a fighter pilot, has caused more than 80% of soldiers testing the augmented reality goggles to report feeling nauseous, getting headaches or suffering eyestrain, according to a US Army report that Bloomberg and Business Insider claims to have obtained.(Snip)The Defense Department handed Microsoft a 10-year, $21.88 billion contract for the gear in March, but has put its initial order for 5,000 headsets on hold

A reporter asked Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles about the significance of facing Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin this week, and their relationship as “two of the few black head coaches in the league.”

Famed Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling said she’s not worried about losing fans thanks to her hefty stacks of cash.

“How do you sleep at night knowing you’ve lost a whole audience from buying your books?” the person tweeted at the author.

You know things are bad when even the mainstream press is admitting that the latest inflation numbers “soared far above expectations last month” and that this is “wiping out pay gains.” But, according to President Joe Biden, Thursday’s report on inflation “shows some progress in the fight against higher prices.”
What progress? Inflation was up 8.2% in September, compared with the year before. And that’s on top of last September’s 6.2% increase.
Here’s another way to look at it.
In the 21 months since Biden took office, the Consumer Price Index has shot up 13.5%. That compares with 4% in the first 21 months of the Trump administration. (See the chart below.)

Pelosi's rogue Jan. 6 panel has added to its previous illegitimate actions, violating the terms of the House resolution establishing the committee, by issuing a subpoena to former president Trump. If this wayward action by this rabid, partisan committee is upheld by the courts, we shall have an unconstitutional amendment to the Constitution providing for parliamentary government, with the president answerable to Congress. Erased by congressional fiat, supported by the Judiciary, will be the important concept of separation of powers established by the Founding Fathers.

Queens is taking the largest share of migrants into emergency shelters set up by the city — fueling what the borough’s president on Thursday called a “powder keg” of crises and creating a “recipe for a social and economic disaster.”
Queens was housing 4,782 migrants, or 32% of the total 14,777 placed in emergency shelters as of Wednesday, according to data compiled by the Department of Homeless Services and obtained by The Post on Thursday.
That share is more than one-sixth greater than the 27.3% that Queens residents contribute to the city’s total population, according to 2020 census data.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon slammed Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s support for the Defund the Police movement during a debate Thursday in Michigan.
“We know the governor came out and said she supports the spirit of defund the police, and we know that while we were all locked down, she went out and marched with folks who held up signs that said, ‘Defund the Police,'” Tudor stated.
She continued:
I’m actually endorsed by the largest police union in the state of Michigan, the police officer’s association of Michigan, and more than two dozen sheriffs, including Democrats, because they are so upset

Another day, another leak to the Washington Post.
A Trump employee told the FBI he moved boxes of documents at Mar-a-Lago on the former president’s orders, according a report published by the Washington Post late Wednesday.
Apparently only Trump isn’t allowed to take possession of his own presidential records.
Barack Obama was never harassed or accused of violating the Espionage Act for storing highly classified documents at a warehouse.

Thursday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” during footage seen for the first time taken on January 6, 2021 by Alexandra Pelosi, her mother, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), said she would happily go to jail for punching President Donald Trump if he came to the Capitol.
During his speech on January 6, Trump said, “And after this, we’re going walk down, and I’ll be there with you. We’re going walk down to the Capitol.”
Pelosi said, “Tell him if he comes here, we’re going to the White House.”
A staff member said, “The Secret Service said they have dissuaded him from coming to Capitol Hill.

A former federal prosecutor told Fox News host Mike Emanuel that the Biden family faces serious legal jeopardy from Hunter Biden’s alleged business dealings.
“[President Joe Biden] should be worried, I think, obviously should be worried about his son who has had a very troubled past, but in terms of the investigation, I think the talk that we are hearing now about the possibility of a disposition of the case with tax charges and maybe the full statement that you refer to, could be a choreographed event, what is swept under the rug is the thing that is of consequence to the country, which is the fact that foreign regimes…

Five people, including an off-duty police officer, were killed in a shooting in a residential neighborhood in Raleigh, North Carolina Thursday night, officials said.
The suspect, a male juvenile, was apprehended nearly five hours after the attack, the Raleigh Police Department said.
The shooting began on the Neuse River Greenway near Osprey Cove Drive and Bay Harbor Drive at 5 p.m., Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin said. Police had “contained” the suspect in a residence in the area at 8 p.m. and placed the individual in custody almost two hours later.

“The problem with living under postmodernism,” Dean Hunter Baker commented, “is that everyone is constantly tending the narrative instead of doing something useful.”
It does seem that way, especially if you run in my circles.
But of course, plenty of people are doing something useful. The world is full of those whose diligent and largely unsung work makes the lights stay on, the grocery shelves fill with food, the toilets flush and even the Internet run. They have been ignored, denigrated and even subjected to a species of economic warfare for the last several decades, but suddenly people are starting to notice that they matter.

Denial is no longer possible: FBI headquarters not only pumped up the Russiagate scandal knowing none of the “evidence” held up, it then turned around to help deep-six actual evidence of Hunter Biden crimes that tainted now-President Joe ahead of the 2020 election.
The latest revelations come from special counsel John Durham’s prosecution of “Steele dossier” gofer Igor Danchenko. Specifically, disgraced FBI analyst Brian Auten testified that the FBI dangled $1 million for Christopher Steele to verify at least part of his package of allegations against Trump — all of which, we now know, came from Danchenko’s water-cooler gossip with pals in DC.

Never let a crisis go to waste, Rahm Emanuel once advised. Add to that this new axiom: Never let your emergency powers expire. As incompetent as Joe Biden might otherwise be, he’s proven adept at following both.
Again:
The Biden administration extended the Covid-19 pandemic’s status as a public health emergency for another 90 days, preserving measures such as expanded Medicaid and higher payments to hospitals.
The decision follows comments President Biden made in September describing the pandemic as over. Some Republican lawmakers said afterward that the administration should wind down its pandemic response and the emergency designation.
