Pelosi's rogue Jan. 6 panel has added to its previous illegitimate actions, violating the terms of the House resolution establishing the committee, by issuing a subpoena to former president Trump. If this wayward action by this rabid, partisan committee is upheld by the courts, we shall have an unconstitutional amendment to the Constitution providing for parliamentary government, with the president answerable to Congress. Erased by congressional fiat, supported by the Judiciary, will be the important concept of separation of powers established by the Founding Fathers.

When Congress asked Harry Truman to do this, he told them to pound sand.

The morons on the J6 committee should have known that this was a pointless action: Trump only needs to tie this up in court until January 2 at which point the incoming GOP majority will put this freak show out of its misery. In which case it was all for show.

What we’ve got here is a government of the congress, by the congress, for the congress. You filthy peasants go stand over there and shut up. Don’t you know who we are?

Can you imagine if the tables turn and Biden is subpoenaed before a Republican congressional committee for hours on end to answer for all the incompetent actions and non actions during his years in the White House. One thing you could bet on if that happens, the media networks would not be showing those hearings on live TV with the American people only hearing a leftist Democrat media readout of the hearings on TV. The upcoming election will tell the story.

January 6, 2023 will result in the disbandment of this farce committee and the beginning of the investigation of this farce committee. Every committee member that survives the 2022 election should have ALL committee assignments taken away for this next Congress as a penalty.

Maybe I'm a bit contrary to a couple of posters but I would love to keep the J6 dig going under Jim Jordan's control. Let the subpoenas fly.

"...Systemic hatred of Donald J. Trump is no excuse for tearing down the Constitution". It might be helpful to remember Trump's admonition here. It is you they hate. I am merely in the way.

Agree, #6. Just imagine subpoenas being sent out to Pelosi, Ray Epps, Antifa leaders, Michael Byrd, the female officer who beat that woman to death in the tunnel, and all the rest of the capitol police, particularly the ones who unlocked and opened the doors welcoming in the protestors. Then subpoena all of the members of this fraudulent committee. All under penalty of prison time for non compliance. If it’s good enough for Steve Bannon, it’s good enough for all of those weasels.

The thing that ticks me off is that democrats get away with their lawless investigations with zero repercussions when we know the J6 committee is an illegitimately formed investigative committee. Why isn’t the Republican leadership making that point? They have been silent pretty much since it’s inception thereby giving it legitimacy. How do we ever win when our own party is unwilling to stand up to this lawless party? McConnell and McCathy are worthless but I fear if we win the majority in both houses nothing will change. They will be promoted to higher positions with the same defeatist attitude. We must get rid of this dead wood and make room for someone willing to understand the war we are engaged in and are willing to fight to the death to defeat the lawless democrat machine. We’ve got one chance to get this right and restore this government to a semblance of integrity and it will not be done with the guys who are committed to the status quo. Clearly, they don’t even acknowledge the evil that is determined to destroy this country because they act like it doesn’t even exist. These men are not worthy of support. When they could have acted, they did nothing. Why should we reward them for that kind of behavior? McConnell and McCarthy MUST go. They earned their demotion, now give it to them.

Assuming the Republicans take control of the House in January 2023, I sure hope that the GOP does not decide to "play nice" and return to the Marques of Queensbury rules with the Democrats.
Democrat loons like Tlaib and Omar should be prohibited from any committee. Same with all the witches from the J6 Committee. All committee assignments must be approved by the Republicans and Democrat access and power will be severely curtailed as it was the past two years. I'd add the elimination of funding to any caucus that does not welcome members of both parties AND that any outside funding to all of these caucuses have to go through the Speaker's office so that those contributions can be properly documented and made public record.
I'd add another new rule. Any law passed by the House must be available in its final form for public inspection for a minimum of 5 business or legislative days before it can be passed. Any changes means that the bill must wait another 5 days OR if it is a true "emergency" bill, it will automatically expire in 90 days unless the Congress passes an identical law in that form within those 90 days.
If the Democrats behave, maybe we can have nice things in another year or so. But I'm not holding my breath.

Pop some popcorn and get the softdrinks out. This will be fun to watch Trump handle them. And even better, watch next year when the republicans subpoena Biden. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will \\have to step in. That will be sad to watch!

#10, they did but no one in the MSM would listen since they were told to report what the Democrats presented.
I am also under the impression a valid subpoena from the House requires a ranking member, but the J6 committee does not have one on the GOP side, thus, not likely valid.
If the J6 committee was a court trial, it would be thrown out or a multitude of reasons. Plus there are over 14,000 hours of video still not released (presumably has information that is counter to their desired narrative).
