Conservatives in Oregon are gathering forces to vote on secession from the state in a concerted effort to join Idaho, which shares their values and political beliefs including those on Critical Race Theory, supporting the police, and bail laws. (Video) The Greater Idaho movement is pressuring state legislators as well as those in Idaho to redraw Oregon’s border so that the eastern two-thirds of the Beaver State becomes part of the Gem State, known for potatoes, gorgeous mountains, lakes, lower taxation, and conservatism.
Nine eastern Oregon counties have already backed secession. Two others are getting ready to vote in November on whether they want their representatives to

Congrats if this works! You’re setting a precedent that other counties should consider. We could whittle the blue states away one county at a time.

Greater Idaho has a nice ring to it. Then they can always rename what remains to "The Peoples Republic of Oregon". Doesn't mention how many of the seven electors will be transferred to Idaho.

It would be great if it passes. However, we all know some democrat judge appointed by Clinton or Obama will nullify it. A few years ago we in Oklahoma voted to end Sharia law in the state. Within two weeks some judge had nullified the vote and Sharia was reinstated.

Democrat-Communists in Salem (and Sacramento) abide by the Marxist dictum...you can't leave once you're in. People in the old Iron Curtain countries, Cuba and North Korea now, and soon, Russia, know what this means. San Bernardino county wants to become a state...Democrats are in a froth.

Several years ago there was a rude, but reality based, bumper sticker saying, "Don't Californicate Oregon."
Texas is receiving an influx of liberty seekers and we endorse that sentiment.
I Image Idahoans feel much the same.

For some reason, Firefox will not find bizpac review, even if I go to a search engine and find it, then click on that link.

I switched from a phone with FIrefox browser to a computer with Firefox browser and bizpac review opens normally.
No idea why the phone couldn't find any of the bizpac review pages.

I wish them the best, but the liberals never let their tax paying subjects leave without a fight.

For a matter like this, you don't ask Oregon's permission to leave, you just do it as long as youve got everything lined up with Idaho. You think Oregon will say yes? Think again.

I really hope they successfully pull this off. Set a precedent. Soon after, other states will follow suit...and eventually the country will be red all over with blue large cities.

If counties in all states did this, they’d isolate all blue bastions of bulls**t, and let them topple themselves.

Sounds fun and empowering, but it's not Constitutional. Counties owe their origin to, and derive their powers from, the state. They have no independent legal rights . . . certainly not to secede. A SCOTUS case in 1907, “Hunter v. City of Pittsburgh,” says so:
“Municipal corporations are political subdivisions of the State, created by it and at all times wholly under its legislative control.”
Unlike the U.S. - which is a federation of states - the states are not federations of counties. The U.S. didn't create the states that comprise it and from which it derives its power, but the states DID create their counties.

Playing devils advocate—the whole state could join Idaho and Idaho would lose two senate seats.
