If you’re anything like me (and I’ll bet you are), over the past month you’ve been feeling uneasy watching the zealots on the left and the squishes on the right unabashedly cheering for Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the events of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. After the political animosity of the last several years, something has seemed off, not quite right about pundits on the left and the right fervently cheering for the same side in anything let alone a war.
To be clear, I’m not questioning American support of the Ukrainian people. What I’m uneasy with is the blind support

People used to talk about “resistance” to President Donald Trump. That’s old hat. Now it’s resistance to the woke.
And we’re seeing more and more of that resistance. University of Michigan economics professor Mark J. Perry is working with numerous folks across the nation to file equal-opportunity complaints with the federal Department of Education when colleges and universities discriminate on the basis of race and sex.
Perry recounts that in three years of research, he’s found more than 1,200 Title IX and Title VI violations — and continues to uncover more. “The significant and troubling frequency of violations of federal civil rights laws in higher education demonstrates unaddressed systemic sexism and racism

Diminished food supply resulting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has potential consequences beyond empty stomachs, Agco chief executive Eric Hansotia told CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Thursday.
According to Hansotia, about “13% of the global calories came out of production” when Russian and Ukrainian borders shut down.
“This is a really big deal, because when that volume of calories comes out of the food chain, it triggers other things. Not only hunger, but unrest. The last time we had this kind of disruption, it was one of the major triggers for the Arab Spring,” he said in an interview on “Mad Money,” referring to the pro-democracy protests

We frequently see video clips of deranged leftists going off on one of their pet peeves, but seldom do we see footage that shows a lefty wrapping virtually all of their favorite lecturing topics into one remarkable rant. Have a look: [video]
Let’s review some of the highlights of this deranged diatribe and while we do, let’s be honest: It is fun to watch:

President Biden warned that the Russian invasion of Ukraine will likely cause food shortages in some parts of the world because both countries are major exporters of wheat, in remarks to reporters in Brussels on Wednesday.
“It’s going to be real. The price of these sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia; it’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well,” Biden said. “Both Russia and Ukraine have been the breadbasket of Europe in terms of wheat, for example — just to give you one example.”

President Joe Biden repeated the infamous “very fine people hoax” on Thursday evening in Brussels, Belgium, falsely claiming that his predecessor praised neo-Nazis who rioted in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.The president was speaking at a press conference to close the NATO summit on Ukraine. A European reporter asked the president how he could be sure that his successor in 2024 would not undo his diplomatic approach to NATO. (President Trump irked European powers by demanding that they live up to their NATO commitment of spending at least 2% of gross domestic product on defense. Germany belatedly agreed, finally, to meet its commitment only after Russia had invaded Ukraine.)

Judicial confirmation hearings are rarely illuminating. Since the introduction of television cameras, they mostly serve as a way for senators to say what they want their constituents to hear and for judicial nominees to say as little as possible. Nothing is learned, at least not on purpose.
But occasionally, we learn something by accident. At Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation hearing on Tuesday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee asked a seemingly innocuous question: “Can you provide a definition of the word ‘woman’?”

Yesterday’s drama between the Mo Brooks campaign in Alabama and Donald Trump is an interesting one, which sees some of what we’ve been hearing behind the scenes spilling out into the open.
Yesterday, Trump rescinded his endorsement of Brooks, who is currently running for U.S. Senate in Alabama. Trump took aim at Brooks urging Republicans to move on from the 2020 stolen election and focus on winning future elections. Trump also accused Brooks of hiring NeverTrump consultants and changing his messaging in a way that made him plummet in the polls.

Even before Ketanji Brown Jackson's extraordinary statement that she does not know what a woman is, I'd concluded that she's a dim bulb and, really, the judicial equivalent of Kamala Harris: an uninspiring Black woman who's floated effortlessly upward through affirmative action and fealty to leftism. I'd spent the day mentally writing an attack on her, only to see Tucker Carlson hold forth with an incendiary monologue that attacked her "I'm not a biologist" lunacy, the whole transgender madness that the left is advancing, and the real agenda of remaking society in an ugly way, especially through the death of free speech.

As we’ve previously reported, the mainstream media and the “progressive” left have been braying like mules for the last several weeks over the Florida parental rights legislation that critics have falsely labeled the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
To his credit, Gov. Ron DeSantis has responded accordingly to the outcry and various fake narratives surrounding the bill, noting that it does not in fact “ban” saying “gay” in public school classrooms and that in actuality, what it does is prevents age-inappropriate lesson plans on sexual orientation and gender ideology in K-3 classrooms, and enshrines parental rights when it comes to discussions of such sensitive subject matters with children.

One century, one decade and one year separate us from the birth of Ronald Reagan. With each passing day, especially in these troubling times, we are reminded of Reagan’s basic goodness and, yes, greatness.
Derided by the Manhattan elites and the Georgetown Cocktail Set as a “simpleton,” Reagan’s genius was his ability to simplify the seemingly complex.
“If you want less of something, tax it,” Reagan said, succinctly explaining the rationale for tax cuts. History recalls that the reduction of tax rates led to the expansion of economic opportunity during the Reagan era.

I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that Biden won’t be spending his umpteenth weekend vacationing at his beach house in Delaware over the next few days. The bad news is that he’s spending that time in Europe attempting to defuse a possible world war. So yeah, that’s not preferable for the rest of us given his track record.A promotional video of the president’s arrival at NATO in Brussels has been released, and there are several noteworthy things about it. Here’s what that looked like.(Snip for video)Can we start with the fact that he’s grinning like a Cheshire cat? Does he know where he’s at?

President Joe Biden arrived at NATO headquarters in Brussels Thursday to kick off his effort to rally military and EU allies to stay together in opposing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and offer energy solutions to a worried Europe.
He exited his presidential motorcade Thursday morning, ignoring shouted questions about the situation in Ukraine.

British airlines, our own airline pilots, Republican lawmakers and anyone with common sense knows mask mandates on planes are worthless—so why do the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention refuse to “follow the science”?
Last week, the Transportation Security Administration became essentially the last holdout in extending a mask mandate on airplanes and in airports (along with other transportation hubs), as enforcement of the CDC transportation mask mandate. The Texas Public Policy Foundation has sued over that mandate, pointing out that it’s an unconstitutional power-grab, far beyond the powers granted to the CDC by Congress.

In an op-ed piece for NBC News, Cheryl Cooky, professor of American studies and women’s, gender and sexuality studies at Purdue University, likened “Lia” Thomas (formerly Will) to Jackie Robinson. Nothing could be further from the truth.
In fact, Prof. Cooky’s editorial is a slap in the face to female athletes and an insult to the legacy of Jackie Robinson, who courageously broke the color line in professional sports. Yet, according to Cooky, and with reference to Thomas’s blow-out victory in a national swimming competition last week, “For anyone who cares about the advancement of sports, and women's sports in particular, her win should be celebrated.”

It’s official: 2021 was the most lucrative year ever for Wall Street financiers, according to data released Wednesday by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.
The average bonus last year for those working in the New York City securities industry was $257,500 — that’s 20% more than 2020’s average bonus, the previous record high. Last year’s bonus pool of $45 billion, also a record, was 21% higher than 2020’s bonus bool of $37.1 billion.
DiNapoli noted the massive surge in bonuses are “historically unique” given the nation was reeling from the coronavirus pandemic and resulting lockdowns.

The results are in, and behavior grooming works really well on kids, and not just selling cigarettes. Market research firm The Barna Group is about to release its study that found 39% of Generation Z kids (18-24 years old) report a sexual identity other than their actual biological sex.
This is up from less than 2% in 2010.
Snip.
However behavior grooming lived on in other products and eventually morphed into Sexual Grooming in child-centered institutions including the Catholic Church, Boy Scouts of America, and public schools.

U.S. and European allies are set to announce a new round of sanctions on Thursday meant to dramatically widen the circle of pain among Russian officials as the country's invasion of Ukraine hit its first month. U.S. sanctions will hit 300 members of the Russian state Duma, its lower house, amid Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's call for allies to sanction Russian functionaries and others who enable Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Other sanctions will hit dozens of other Russian elites.Forty Russian defense companies would also come under sanction, a senior administration official told reporters Thursday.

President Joe Biden believes the Ukraine war will mark the start of a “new world order.” In the middle of the COVID global pandemic, Klaus Schwab and global elites likewise announced a “great reset.”Accordingly, the nations of the world would have to surrender their sovereignty to an international body of experts. They would enlighten us on taxes, diversity and green policies. When former President Donald Trump got elected in 2016, marquee journalists announced partisan reporting would have to displace the old, supposedly disinterested approach to the news. There is a common theme here.

While many have criticized the current enthusiasm for judging the past by the standards of the present (and condemning those past leaders who did not meet them), few have noted how many currently dominant beliefs are totally disconnected from reality and have a profoundly destructive impact. I propose to discuss two of them here: ideas about the nature of mental illness which have produced what Charles Krauthammer called “an army of broken souls foraging and freezing in the streets” and the conviction that our planet is in existential danger from human-induced climate change. The latter has led to a wholly unwarranted, hugely expensive crusade to eliminate fossil fuels.

Tens of thousands of asylum seekers are expected to flood the US-Mexico border next month as Covid restrictions on immigration are set to be lifted. Immigration experts warn that a 'bottleneck' of an estimated 170,000 refugees has built up over the last two years in Mexico after being turned away at the southern US border under a Trump-era policy known as Title 42. The policy allows border patrol agents to deny entry to migrants without considering their asylum claims if they have been in a country where a communicable disease–such as Covid–is rife. It has been used more than one million times during Donald Trump's

he Lincoln Project and all those who have been associated with it are always a font of hysterical drama. They sought to take down President Donald Trump–and took themselves down with their actions.
So, we knew something was afoot when the Lincoln Project made this post about their co-founder and former associate, Steve Schmidt.
Schmidt resigned from the organization in February 2021, after the news broke about the sexual allegation against another co-founder, John Weaver, and after reports about a house he bought in Utah. The Lincoln Project’s post says he hasn’t been associated with the organization since November 2021. That’s an interesting discrepancy.

Joe Biden promised that in picking a nominee to fill the upcoming opening on the Supreme Court, he would not consider any white or Hispanic or Asian people and not consider any men at all. He promised to consider only black women.
Only about 2% of American lawyers fall into that demographic. In overtly discriminating against the other 98%, Biden committed an obvious violation of the Civil Rights Act, but I rather doubt Biden’s Department of Labor will file suit.
True to his promise, Biden found a black woman lawyer to nominate. Her name is Ketanji Brown Jackson.
It was Biden who touted his nominee as “a black woman”

It’s hard to think of an area of medicine more controversial today than the treatment of gender dysphoria in youth. Proponents and opponents of the new “affirming” paradigm of treatment routinely accuse each other of politicizing medicine, promoting dangerous ideologies, and abusing vulnerable children.
In the United States, civil rights discourse has come to overlay—some would say distort—these debates. In 2016, Attorney General Loretta Lynch likened North Carolina’s “bathroom bill” to the “dark days” of Jim Crow, when states “had signs above restrooms, water fountains and on public accommodations keeping people out based upon a distinction without a difference.”

The disconnect between New York Times writers and the country writ large isn’t surprising. Young, upwardly mobile, college-educated progressives — the cultural and political milieu that most elite journalists come from — have consistently polled as the most Covid-hawkish demographic in America. But that cohort is increasingly out of touch with the national mood. As the rest of the country — including a growing number of Democrats — moves to return to normal, elite progressives aren’t moving with them. The progressive wing of the Democratic Party, consisting of Americans who identify as “liberal” or “very liberal,” is one of the most educated political groups in the country

We’ve now listened to three days of a scheduled full week of testimony by Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. And to be honest, we’ve heard enough. Anyone who truly cares about the Constitution and the rule of law should reject Jackson.
Jackson has a winning smile and pleasant demeanor. Those are nice personal traits, but not ones that necessarily elevate you to the Supreme Court.
Still, she’s also a Harvard Law grad, clerked for Justice Steven Breyer, worked as a public defender, served on the U.S. District Court

The study, released this week by standardized test provider Renaissance Learning Inc., revealed that a return to in-person learning in the latter half of the last school year has seen standardized test scores improve across the county. However, students are still lagging well behind pre-pandemic levels.

One of President Joe Biden's top donors and "closest friends" has scored millions of dollars in federal contracts and a prestigious job in the White House, according to a Washington Free Beacon review of government records. Biden in September of last year placed close confidant Joe Kiani, the founder and CEO of the medical technology company Masimo Corporation, on the influential President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. Kiani's company, which manufactures various medical devices, has received almost $3 million in federal government contracts since Biden took office in 2021. There are specific issues that are key to the very existence of the Democrat Party and most liberal/progressive advocacy groups. The Democrat Party trades in multicategory victimhood and creating taxpayer-funded Government programs in order to “cure” the problems they’ve identified and hyped for each group of victims. Often, these so-called “problems” don’t actually exist -- they’ve just been fabricated by the Democrats and trumpeted by the eagerly complicit liberal media -- but absent these so-called problems and cures, the Democrat Party would have no rationale for existing.Every special-interest and so-called minority group has its Democratically sponsored taxpayer programs.Blacks,

These Democrat-run hearings to potentially send Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court are something else. It's not just that Democrats have forgotten how they've treated now Justice Brett Kavanaugh while they go after Sen. We’ve actually heard about the Ukrainian counteroffensive around Kyiv for almost a week now. Volodymyr Zelensky and his military have pressed the argument that momentum had shifted on the battlefield, hoping to engage the West further in his national defense by demonstrating that Ukraine can not just resist the Russians but actually defeat them on the battlefield.
Those efforts do appear to be paying some dividends in the last 48 hours, however. NBC’s Richard Engel reports from the government’s war room in Kyiv, noting that Ukrainian forces appear to have started to attack the bulge in the Russian line north of Kyiv with success:
