Children at every grade level are still performing worse in math and reading than they were before start of COVID, data from 7.3 million standardized tests across the US reveals. The study, released this week by standardized test provider Renaissance Learning Inc., revealed that a return to in-person learning in the latter half of the last school year has seen standardized test scores improve across the county. However, students are still lagging well behind pre-pandemic levels.
The firm analyzed reading scores for 4.4 million students from kindergarten to 12th grade in all 50 states, as well as 2.9 million students' math marks during the 2020 and 2021 school years.

Another mission accomplished moment for our benevolent government. Our goobernment works tirelessly to make the lives of every man, woman and child in this country as miserable as possible. Oh, and if the goobernment can knock off a few of us along the way it's a bonus. Once again prove positive of the goobernment achieving its goal.

Home school your kids or take them to a private school that will actually teach instead of indoctrinate. They'll get twice the education and won't end a zombie sheep. Vote for candidates that will support charter schools and home learning.

Math and science no longer matter! Test them in cisgendeness and white male evilness! Ask about masculinity in men and not in women…perfect score! Way to go Kentajammie!

The real pandemic was one of lockdowns and laziness. We let the teachers unions get away with multi-million dollar crime and our students are way behind the rest of the world already in basic knowledge.

I have said from day 1 of the COVID thing that the virus was purposely leaked from China to the rest of the world in an attempt to take down western society. This has been pretty well accomplished in almost every area: education, economy, control of the population, etc.

Eventually, the left will solve this education problem by getting rid of standardized testing. Not test. No problem!

At age 8, my 8th daughter is reading adult mystery stories and conjugating verbs in Latin and more. But then, she has been home-schooled from her beginnings.

And now another massive government program failing gets shellacked with Covid narrative and the protagonist of its failure. Good ol GW shrub pushed teachers out of educating and made them test proctors. Public education since the 1970s has been on a steady decline as we keep lowering bench marks so every student is student of the month, and adult failures… but for proactive parents ( thankyou for the parental examples for Dr. Ben Carson, Condoleezza Rice, Clarence Thomas and many others with differing/ missing melanin) Todays publicly educted sans parents children are social media fluid, gender confused, excell in rhetoric and cannot critical think independently outside of the cookie jar. And we blame government….who elected these frauds and who yells at there computer screens to evoke change? Many of us have allowed this.

Dems want kids complacent. They do not want kids able to think on their own. They want them indoctrinated. (And yes, I can define that). Other than the dems who cannot tell what a dog, cat, woman, man is.

The failure of so many school districts around the nation has been a boon for ours. We did not shut down our schools in the fall following the initial panic in the spring of 2020. Our school system instituted an alternating schedule, provided online accommodations for those whose parents did not want their children "endangered," and satisfied the CDCs misguided recommendations. As a result, we only had about ten percent of our students doing online school. Guess how many actually did any work? 0%. Surprise!
The students who did attend school performed at or above their level of achievement from the previous year. To the extent that our system could, we refused to bow to the fear. There was tremendous pressure from the perpetually offended and afraid (often transplants to our state from places like Californication, New Yawk, Michigan, and the likes. However, our system stood firm, as did many others, and we had school.
Everything that revolves around the Covidcrat lies is driven by money and nothing more. The rat turds that are the NEA and AFT are noting more than fascist mouthpieces who will do or say anything for money and power. They all deserve a traitor's fate.

This presents a great opportunity, but many will dismiss it. The fact is simple...American "education" has always sucked for most students. In the 1950s educators asked, "Why can't Johnny Read?" In the 2020s, with all the reforms to "literacy" instruction, the data shows "Rashad still can't read." They cannot do arithmetic or write, either. And how many trillions have been flushed down the great education toilet in the interim?
Let's blame society, etc. It's time to destroy this grossly expensive model of public education. It's a failure for too many. Far too expensive for the output.

WAY TOO MUCH reliance on technology these days--
A caring and involved teacher teaching the way each student needs to learn CANNOT be replaced with a Chromebook and Google Classroom online instruction.
As one who taught for 36 years and now substitute teaches, the over reliance on technology during the Covid-1984 period has set us back at least three years in my opinion.
Now they want to begin indoctrinating kids instead of teaching them as early as Early Childhood Education (age 3), Pre-K (age 4) and Kindergarten (age 5). Kids in elementary school are not ready to begin learning because many parents have little interaction with their children and expect "the school" to do it-- many do not know their math facts before middle school, and when you look at the Baltimore schools as an example, there are SINGLE DIGITS of statistics showing HIGH SCHOOL students who are MANY YEARS below grade level in reading and comprehension-- veritable "useful idiots" dumbing down the population and unable to function as responsible citizens.
Now we are paying these people who cannot function and hold a job to stay home, and an idle mind is the Devil's playground and they get into all sorts of trouble from these social programs and the de-funded police turn them loose because of racial profiling....
Lord, help U.S.!!

Less than 40% of all students are proficient in English, math and science and have been for years.

Sending you children to public school is the same as child abuse. Note that most of our politicians send their kids to private school, while screaming against school vouchers.
