I wasn't going to post this but when I looked at Old Joe's mask, I realized how broke the country is. Is that the same POTUS mask he's been wearing for 2 years? Yech! The blue one under the seat of my truck is cleaner.

Airlines are looking at dwindling ticket sales. A longtime Southwest employee friend told me that a month ago. He said he is extremely glad he is close to retirement. I have felt terribly sorry for airline flight crews during all this mess.

When the mask mandate, shots etc end, then I'll start flying for pleasure again. Right now the thought of breathing in the poison coming from my lungs hour after hour makes me want to get sick. Enough is enough. This was all a lie anyway.

I WILL NOT get on an airliner if masks are required, or testing. We used to spend perhaps $20,000 a year on airline tickets. Not one penny in two years.

I have also had enough of airline CEO's. Customers collared and drug off airplanes for not being woke enough doesn't play well.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said on Friday that he will vote for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court nomination, making it ever more likely she’ll be confirmed to the court. If all 50 Democrats back Jackson, the party will not need any GOP votes to win her confirmation. Manchin was not expected to oppose her, but was seen as one of two possibly uncertain votes along with Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.). “After meeting with her, considering her record, and closely monitoring her testimony and questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee this week, I have determined I intend to vote for her nomination to serve on the Supreme  CORRECTIONS*

An anonymous group of Disney employees is urging the Mouse House to keep its business “politically neutral” – despite mounting pressure from activists who have blasted the company’s muted initial response to a Florida bill that would ban teaching on matters of sexual orientation and gender identity until after the third grade. The employees penned an unsigned open letter arguing Disney has embraced what they described as a “progressive orthodoxy” that has created an “environment of fear” for employees who do not back left-leaning causes. “The Walt Disney Company has come to be an increasingly uncomfortable place to work for those of us whose political and and religious views are

The Los Angeles Police Department has a message for the denizens of Tinseltown and the rest of the City of Angels. When you go out and about, you should probably avoid wearing any sort of flashy, expensive jewelry or other expensive possessions. Why would they say that? Because thieves have continued to become more and more brazen about pulling a weapon on pedestrians or motorists and robbing them of their belongings. And displays of wealth will just make you more of a target for these types of crimes. At the same time, gangs are also stepping up attacks on jewelry stores and other outlets selling expensive

A Canadian branch of Home Depot sparked outrage after it posted a notice to employees about the benefits of “white privilege” and included a checklist for those who are “white, male, Christian, cisgender, able-bodied, and heterosexual.” The notice, which is titled “Leading Practices — Unpacking privilege,” was headquarters confirmed to The Post that the white privilege notice was material from its Canadian division. She said it hadn’t been approved by the company’s diversity and inclusion department. The flyer had a Home Depot logo at the top. The Canadian staffers who were apparently given the learning material were encouraged to acknowledge “societal privileges that benefit white people beyond what is commonly

Give up your car and start walking. That’s an order. The International Energy Agency (IEA) on Friday directed global governments to urgently cut oil supply to domestic consumers and encourage compliance with its call for lowered consumption. The IEA 10-point plan to drive “changes in the behaviour of consumers” and reduce gas demand at the pump includes reducing speed limits, working from home three days a week, more electric cars, car-free Sundays, more cycle lanes, cheaper public transport and greater use of long-distance trains over planes. The IEA also called on the OPEC+ group of oil-producing nations led by Saudi Arabia

“All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others,” George Orwell wrote in “Animal Farm”. That quote comes to mind often when we talk about COVID-19 mandates and enforcement by various authorities. In a liberal haven like Hollywood, you’d think that a blatant show of COVID-19 mandate hypocrisy would be avoided in order to avoid the publicity yet you would be mistaken. There is a distinction made between performers and presenters at this year’s Oscars ceremony versus award nominees and guests attending the ceremony. The logic escapes me here. After Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau cracked down on protestors in his own country and sent his henchwoman, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, to freeze the assets of protesting truck drivers and their supporters, he traveled to Brussels to speak to the European Parliament. His theme was the threats to democracy posed by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the growing distrust of governments in the West in the face of economic uncertainty. Joe Biden went to Europe to make speeches during Europe's most serious crisis since World War II, but was mostly focused on his own re-election. But Joe was upbeat: According to CNBC: President Joe Biden said Thursday that he would consider himself “very fortunate” if former President Donald Trump runs against him for a second time in the 2024 election for the White House.
